Just want to thank everyone for all the lovely comments…you have no idea how much that means to me 😃
You deserve it Trish, because your awesome!
Thanks for all the awesome work
It's because your work will forever remain a landmark of fantasy miniatures!! =D
Not only your models, but your insta, pics & behind the scenes have brought me such joy over my life & continue to do so. On a miserable day, they'll be something awesome on my feed from you. Your sculpts have been long treasured! Mega love & respect!!!
I'm so glad you went on. You are a delightful guest. Your art has brought many good times, and if you've inspired me to try and sculpt minis, you must have inspired many other folks as well.
Trish is a national treasure.
Absolutely she is!
A treasure for the world!
She's brilliant
I remember I wrote Trish a letter of all things when I was 13 because I loved the Cockatrice mini so much, and she responded!! Class act!
That doesn’t surprise me she is awesome
I still remember that 😃
With the constant evolution of our hobby, these "chats" are so important. Showing the people behind the hobby, giving them an opportunity to share their stories, wisdom, enthusiasm, ect is just incredible. You have something wonderful here gents, keep up the great work
I won't lie, before this video I had never heard of Trish. But as I look around my room I realize that she has sculpted many things I hold very dear. Amazing person, absolute gem of a human!
😍😍😍
Yeah I'm the same, I love Space Wolves and all the Forgeworld monsters, turns out they're all her.
Exactly, GW needs to credit their sculptors.
The guests you guys keep getting are unbelievable. Top notch episode after episode
Aww thanks
All my favourites in one room :') Trish is an absolute rockstar!!
😍😍😍 aww thanks Suggs
Brilliant chat with the legendary , Trish. She was a joy to work alongside.
I’m convinced I met trish at a gamesday a long time ago. What an absolute treasure she is. These sculptor interviews really are a huge highlight for me right now
Trish is a legend. She has sculpted so many iconic models. Her recent 'Mockmoon the Griffin' is insanely amazing.
Awesome you're having Trish on the show! Now we just need the gobbo master himself! Kev Adams! 😄
The Troll Hag is still one of my all time favourite minis. Trish is an absolute legend.
YEEEEESSSS TRISH! Her sculpts were a MAJOR motivation for me when I started into Warhammer. Nobody does dragon and monster maws like Trish 🥰.
Also, I adore ghost stories! Love that you included that segment 👻
Trish is such a legend. She created some of the greatest miniatures in the history of Warhammer. Her sculpting inspires me to this day.
I feel eternally honored that trish replied to some of my comments on fb over the years.
Trish sculpted my favorite dragons and Treeman of all time.
One of the most interesting and enjoyable interviews I’ve ever seen. Superb. Thanks guys.
Thanks Richard.
on the numerous occasions i got to speak to Trish during her time at forgeworld she was always such an absolute delight, I'm genuinely heartbroken so much of the work she produced for them isn't available for sale anymore despite it being some of the finest kits they ever did. Atleast I was fortunate enough at the time to buy some of them.
Mother of dragons, wolves, and ostrich man 😀
I recently came across Trish's insta and hadn't realized just how much stuff she had done. All of my gamer friends have pushed her monster miniatures around a Warhammer table - it's so cool 😎
Trish has made some legendary beasts, the sculpts are just pure nostalgia fuel. I'm looking forward to repainting my original zombie dragon. Pat, regarding cheese, you've never heard of Manbell?!
Artists like this is why new kits should also have proper attribution: Trish made some of my favorite GW models, and it'd be a pity if her great work was secret!
What an absolute Legend!
Dimachaeron, Fenrisian Wolves, Russ Wolves, Vorgaroth, Wood Elves, Dragons to name but a few instantly recognisable classics.
Been a fan for Decades.
A really lovely interview, thanks to Trish for sharing her experiences.
My buddy saw my Shelob mini on the shelf and freaked out. Thought it was a real giant spider LOL
Looking forward to watching this when painting later! Trish's monsters were so amazing as a kid. Her Wood Elves were so evocative!
I immediately had to share this with my Mother, who can very much relate to Trish working as long as she has in creative fandoms. Her work always reminded me of the artist Brian Froud, who worked with Jim Henson on Labyrinth and Dark Crystal. I always find that organic design to be fascinating. Thank you for the contribution to our toy soldiers Trish. It would not be the same without your massive impact on the worlds of Games Workshop
I love these podcasts. I've only been into this hobby for a few years now, and it's like a whole histroy being revealed episode by episode, totally facinating! Really appreicate this. :)
Awesome! We’re privileged to be able to get these greats on the show…..long may it continue
@@thepaintingphaseThanks for these interviews and I'm sure you guys have a list of guests you want to get on. But the nostalgia it has evoked in me wants you guys to do a battle report of Jervis Johnson vs Andy Chambers.
Marauder's Chaos Dwearves! Those were great! And a lor of the monsters, classic stuff, a lot of that aged very, very well.
As a player of, err, a certain age, I coveted so many of Trish's sculpts in my youth. An absolute joy to finally hear her talking about her craft. ❤️
Brilliant. Giving these talented wonderful humans their due. Such delightful interviews. Really a hobby treasure trove
The River Troll Hag is one of my all time favourite sculpts and was an absolute joy to paint, there's so many little hidden details
What a great talk. You touched on Fenrisian Wolves just as Im sitting here working on 15 fenrisian wolves and 15 goblin wolf riders to give them a more dynamic look for my "The Old World" project. :)
Following her on SoMe is a treat, seeing the bts of creating all her work has been fantastic. Her Harrowhyrst range is epic. I have the tree dragon and definitely want more
It's SO awesome to get to hear from the legendary figures who had such a massive impact on my life. Trish is amazing, thanks for getting her on!
What a delightful person. So glad to have a face and a voice to go with all the minis I've enjoyed of hers over the years. Thank you.
Amazing! Weirdly I just left comment on Gary Morley video suggesting you interviews Trish! She’s a legend!
Haha! Great minds
Trish's monsters (especially the old 5th ed metal Stegadon and the Dark Elf Dragon) were what drew my eye when I first walked past a GW! Will definitely pick up some of the Harrowhyrst beasties now.
So glad you were able to have Trish join the show. I have bought and painted so many of her models over the years and it was a pleasure to get to see the person behind the magic. Thank you for all you contributed to my imagination and enjoyment over the years!
The itch for nostalgia has been scratched. Great interview guys!
Such a great guest. Highly experienced, amusing and relaxed. She managed to bring the best out of you, Peachy and Patrick!
ABSOLUTELY GLORIOUS!!!
I've been looking forward to this one so much!
Trish is an amazing sculptor and artist. I share a love of the mythic woodlands and moors and that's how I ended up accidentally winning a one of a kind miniature sculpted by her by entering an Albion Fenbeast in an oldhammer painting competition showcasing her miniatures that she also judged!
It's one of my dearest possessions, I would really love to do something with it, but I'm terrified of ruining it 😅
Thank you so much for this interview, an absolute joy.
Trish you are an absolute wonder, carry on being awesome guys and take care 🙂
😊 your Fenbeast is gorgeous! Get that mini painted 😃
@@TrishCarden Yes ma’am! Consider myself told, the Monstergirl has spoken 🤣
And thank you kindly ☺️
Waving at Trish born and raised in Kingstable Rd just next to the Grass market love that area of Edinburgh
👋🏼
Trish, good grief, thank you so much for all you’ve done and continue to do for the miniatures and art communities. Very excited to hear you have a couple Beastmen in the works. Your first Beastmen are favorites of mine. I appreciate and admire you so much.
Painting Phase dudes… If you guys end up issuing a DVD of collected interviews I’d buy it. 🙃❤️
Wonderful episode once again. It's always awesome to hear perspectives from model makers and ex GW employees. Nice to have a variety of opinions about how their time with company was.
Thanks guys for another cracking guest.
Really enjoying learning more about this awesome hobby and its development over the last 40 years.
Such a great and wholesome show again, thank you, lady, and gents. I really enjoyed this, and thank you, trish, for so many great memories you created for me and models for us all 😊
Trish is my hero, such an interesting chat! I've been putting these on at work in the background for some inspo. More legends plzz
Omg Bob and Trish combo
Wouldn’t that be awesome!?!
These interviews you guys are doing are amazing, giving us mere mortals a peek behind the curtain , seriously loving the chat and honesty from everyone
What an absolute pleasure it was to watch this. Can't believe how quickly the time went by. Time flies when you're having rum!
I'm in the middle of painting 2 of the metal treemen from 1993 such wonderfull mini's and just a few of the fantastic sculps done over the years by a talented Lady. Thank you
Brilliant episode, Trish is so lovely!!
Quercus is beautiful, my forest dragon has a new friend. Enjoyed the interview, thanks for sculpting some of the best fantasy models.
I'd like to see the Fimir return too.
Yes! Was so hoping you’d get her on to talk! So cool.
Easily my fave video that you guys have greeted. Trish is a legend!
Probably my favourite miniature sculptor ever! She's crazy talented
Fantastic interview again, Trish is amazing, and the Great Unclean Ones are some of my favourite minis (I have two!!) 😈❤

🤷♂️🤣
Im so excited to listen to this interview. I've loved monsters and beasties since watching old movies as a kid, like Jason and the Argonauts, Sinbad the Sailor and Clash of the Titans. Cant wait to sit down with a brew and enjoy 🥳
Trish has done so much over the years for fantastical beasties, critters and monsters, such an honour to have her on
Thank you Trish! It was a wonderful 1 & half hrs listening to you share your time and stories with us all.
And having recently re-aquired and painted one of your Woodelf Forest dragons, I can say for certain it is still my favourite WH dragon. Hope you dont mind it being the mount to my Space Marine Captain!
Now I that I know, Trish is my favorite sculptor. Thanks for having her on guys.
Loving these interviews! Great content and absolutely facinating to learn a bit about the old miniatures.
No Jeff, no party. Great video like usual.
I’m always surprised to find out just how many trish sculpts I have !! My 5th edition army has her Carmine Dragon, Cockatrice and River Hag Troll!
Thank you for the interview!!
I'm blown away by how genuinely nice all the guests are. You really get the feeling of early GW that they were having fun and that sense of humour came through in the models before it became properly grim dark or high fantasy. There was always an element of dark humour in Fantasy and I miss that. Is there not some absolute nob jockey who's also done something great in the hobby!?
I’m new to the hobby, but I absolutely love this podcast and the deep dives into the history and behind the scenes. Thanks so much for what you all do!
Hats off to Trish for the storm of magic cockatrice, brilliant sculpt, I use it as a thousand sons Daemon prince
😱 I absolutely love Trish’s mini’s. Excellent vid
Really loved the episode! I loved all the storied she had, and that she’s still hand sculpting.
Fantastic interview. One of the first models I remember doing a mail order for was the Trish's Rock Dragon with the knight, sword and helmet. I never got around to painting it as I was scared to ruin it - and eventually lost it when I moved out of my parents house. But it was my absolute favourite thing for a number of years, just happy to have it :)
what a fantastic interview, its such a joy learning about the early days of GW. Keep it up y'all!
Another outstanding guest & interview. Loved hearing about Trish's experiences & her current projects.
Another great interview! The original advert for the 8 Talisman Timescape models attributes them all to Trish, including the marine.
Oh wow! That’s great
Great episode. Thanks all and especially Trish.
i think this is my favourite episode yet, what a wonderful person and insight into GW
One of the best videos yet. So many great sculpts over the years. Was amazing to hear the stories
Been waiting a long time for this one. She is my favourite. Love her and her work so much.
This was completely fascinating. Her work has inspired so much and she's so knowledgeable. This was a great interview.
Great episode! Fantastic to finally find out who made a lot of my favourite models. Thank you Trish!
Looking at some of Trish's work whilst listening along and the sense of nostalgia is palpable!
I'm a 3D artist/Character artist by profession and I pretty much live in Zbrush but I always love returning to pencil sketching and paper - it's like a whole other level of skill sharpening.
Thanks so much for getting your guests to introduce themselves, really helps get an insight into who these 'hobby heroes' are!
Another great guest and part of the history of the hobby! It's a real shame that with the lack of credit for artists and sculptors now from GW, in ten or twenty years there may be a lack of known hobby personalities who give us such amazing models.
Watching this makes me want to sculpt! Fantastic interview and a great series. Trish is a national treasure.
My hats of to the simple and beautiful way of seeing life. I am enamored with everything you bring to the hobby table. Thank so much for these stories, and passion for the craft.
I feel so bad now, when in the past I wrote not nice things about Mrs. Trish's sculpts. I mean I still don't like some of them, but that was not a good reason to be disrespectful of her work. It was so nice listen to her chat about her work, and her new range is really good. Please accept my deepest apologies Mrs. Carden. And as always, thanks to all of you for another amazing video!!
Well that’s incredibly mature of you to comment this, for the internet that’s such a rare sight. Kudos to you.
You’re forgiven, it’s perfectly fine not to like things 😃
Great guest and interview
Another smashing episode with someone who made the glorious stuff i grew up with, love so many of the monsters and creatures Trish made and still makes!
always a surprise who will pop up next. Maybe some artists that melted my brain as a teen, Adrian Smith, Paul Bonner etc. Can't wait to see what or who is up next!
I didnt know she did the Dimachaeron I love mine, so cool that it was hand sculpted!
Wild to hear Trish is a fan of Old Gods of Appalachia. I live close the region and shes right, its weird and awesome!
What a gem! As a writer/designer I love hearing stories from artists “of an age.” I always learn something.
she is so fun, i was giggling the whole time. Ive got some of her old horrors, i think ill paint them up next!
I remember seeing that Khorne dragon work in progress at one of the AoS open days and couldnt wait to see it done. Unfortunately a bit out of my price range and now he's gone 😭
Two sets of names i looked for when i was playing in the 90s were Michael & Alan Perry and Trish and Aly Morisson
Good taste you have guv’.
Another awesome Sidetracked, absolutely love hearing from folks like Trish who are such fun personalities and such fun guests!
Huge fan for Trish’s work over the years, fantastic interview 👌
This is delightful interview, really interesting, and I absolutely love those Fenrisian Wolves!
Didn't know Trish before this, but this interview has made me happy. Thank you.
That was a Brilliant interview! but I need you to inform Trish that The Cyclops sculpt is incredible, mostly because it triggers my recurring nightmare from childhood into the present day of being persued by the Ray Harryhausen Clyclops from the Seventh Voyage of Sinbad. 😂
I don't think I've ever experience such fear and joy in the same moment on a product page 😂
Great conversation with a great person! Thanks
I remember going in to the studio with probably 20 other people from the stores, all of them ran over to the cabinets to see all the new models, I looked round and saw a guy painting in the corner so I went over to him so see what he was painting the 5th edition elder codex (Paul Dainton). such a nice guy. the painting was all shades of orange. when it came out on the cover of the codex it had loads of green tones added so cool to see it in the process of being finished.
there was also a guy making giant snails using metal squigs as there heads weird
Fantastic, fantastic interview! Revelations within seconds as my Trish Lore was apparently so wanting that I had no idea she was a fellow Scot! Some great anecdotes - no surprise though as her Facebook page is an absolute treasure trove of them. One of the all time greats and responsible for so so many of my favourite miniatures of all time. I absolutely must find the time to pick and paint some of her HarrowHyrst range as well, so much character.
Hi fellow Scot 😃
