Here we can see several Volkswagen Typ 82E being driven in a wood.
This was during Militracks 2023, the biggest gathering of WW2 german vehicles in the world, taking place in Overloon, NL.

Lots of people were laughing about the Volkswagen Super Bowl commercial, sarcastically wondering why no history of the bug before 1949 was shown. 😁

Back in the 70'2 we owned a VW chassis that was shortened and made as a dune buggy with a roll bar and no body. We used to buy VW's that were beat up just to salvage the engine and trans axle for our dune buggy. When the engine died on us, we'd get another VW for parts to keep it going. We scrapped so many VW Bugs it was amazing. Now that they are rare and the value has gone up, I appreciate the humble VW Bug for what it was created for.
