- OUR LAST DAY OF WHEAT HARVEST 2020!!
Which means, the straw we leave behind the combine needs baled! We bale some straw for the sheep (bedding), and the rest is sold to our neighbours (and friends) that also recently had a devastating fire that took out ALL their 2019 and early 2020 straw and hay bales.
Join me once again hauling wagons, running for parts, and of course jumping on the combine for that final stretch of wheat harvest with Mark.

Beautiful drone footage! My mom grew up on a farm in Roseglen, North Dakota. My great grandfather homesteaded there. My grandfather and great grandfather died in 71 and 72 and we have had a family farming our land since then. This family knew my family well. Two years ago I had the opportunity to ride in the combine during wheat harvest with the father, who was good friends with both grandfathers. Not only is it so neat to sit there and see the process, but Jimmy talked to me about the two men that I only know from pictures and family stories. It was an amazing experience! Also heart warming to talk to someone that not only knew them, but loved them! Just wanted to share a harvest experience. Hoping to do it again this year!
I'm not a farmer. I don't understand the negative comments. If you don't like watching a CZcams channel then just don't watch it. I want to say thanks to all that put food for my family. God bless the farmers.
Brian Hubbard That’s exactly what I say. Do they think I am sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to hear there opinion
Who ever figured farmers could dance so beautifully in the field? I love the drone footage!!!
Right?!!!
I love watching the wheat harvesters clear a field it's very relaxing and somehow satisfying. Love the drone footage. Thanks Ms. Sandi.
When I was a young girl I had the pleasure of living in Iowa on a horse farm. The gentleman who had the farm kinda adopted me and 12 year old me helped hand load bales😂 hand de tassel corn, hand pick rocks, and spray beans. I mucked stalls, polished tack, and groomed. My payment was my own key to the barn😍I loved it❤️ I had such a love for it I was unstoppable and he loved my enthusiasm so much he named is baby girl after me😍 such wonderful memories and such an honor to have a namesake. Thanks for reminding me of how beautiful farm work can be.
Nothing is wasted on the farm... Someone actually designed that machine to take the wheat, transfer, leave chaff... Amazing process. Thank you. I appreciate my sister and brother's efforts so much after watching your blogs on field growing various crops.
the smell of harvest - sweat, grease and stress with a crazy amount of time watching the weather when I do think they play pin the tail on the donkey to get a forecast some day as they are so wrong - what a great feeling of relief to get wheat harvest done and straw baled
Yes!!!
Guess that's why they call them weather guessers!😂🤣
I so enjoy your videos. Growing up in a major city, I knew nothing about farming and raising livestock. A day does not go bye, that I don’t learn something new from you. Thank you!
Full Brock family operation. Harvest done ✅, Baling done ✅, Vlogging done ✅. Another year’s wheat harvest a success!
Thanks for the early video upload. Great way to start a day.
Thanks Dean!!!
You will never know what joy it brings me to watch these videos. I sob while watching but it's because I love them so much. I grew up on a farm in ohio, wheat, oats, soy beans, corn, hogs, sheep, milk cows, i showed sheep in 4h. My dad survived all of the farm sales of the 70s. But my brothers didnt want to farm and I am a girl who wishes I could have taken over, but when he passed in mid 90s, my mom sold the farm. I couldnt, just couldn't go to the farm sale, I was so angry about it, at mom for selling it, at my brothers for not stepping up, for telling me I was crazy for wanting to take over. So being able to spend moments of your day mean so much to me and seeing your kids out on tractors just brings so much joy to my heart.
♥️
You guys must be so proud of Jess and Jack...you definitely did lots of things right...
We did!!🥰
Drone is amazing we use one in Germany to see if the gutters need to be cleaned! Also what Do you have to do for the wheat that you use for next year’s seed anything different?
I've always been fascinated by how farmers cut, collect and put their fields up! I especially love the drone footage! And if I didn't already say it, CONGRATS on the silver plague!
Thanks so much!!!!!
Plaque?
@@camillea6701 for reaching 100,000 members. :)
@@Kaycyd Its spelled "plague" in the original comment, she was probably commenting on the apparent mis-sprlling. I'm pretty sure You Tube didn't give Sandi a "plague" for getting 100K in subscribers!
@@shawnwales696 Thank you for the correction on my spelling.
Love you, I just rescued a little ewe lamb, my auntie had her ( my auntie sells sheep for butchering, but they’re free range on her land) but the lamb had been abandoned in the field, so my auntie checked her out and her bones aren’t fully developed, sooooo I am bottle feeding this ewe lamb now, but it’s good because I’ve got nothing else to do😁
Good luck!! that little one is lucky to have you!
Your Auntie had a lamb, isn't that cross species breeding? 😂🤣😂. Congrats and good luck.
Congratulations on wheat! People do NOT realize how dependent we all are on what each farmer does. Without your hard work, we all starve, literally. Always praying for our farmers, and truckers, and everyone else along the way to the grocery store. Your kids are the best, too.
Good Morning Sheepy Sandi, I love LOVE your videos. They are soothing my soul. I look forward everyday to watch your sheep, harvest and whatever else you put on here. God Bless to you and your family. Stay safe on those big machines. Luv n huggs.
Thank you Sandi for showing your ins and outs of being a sheep farmer. I’ve been watching for a while now but in the last 2 months, I finally got my stepdad to watch. He is inspired and has gotten a lot of ideas and info for our small hobby farm, where we breed dorper sheep (they self shed their hair like wool!) that we are now starting to sell for meat. What started off as giving us some yummy lamb, we have lambs coming out of our ears!( breed anytime of the year - without CIDRs, as well as producing multiples.) Of course he never listened to me before when i shared the things I learnt from you. Men. Anyway lots of love from South Australia and thank you for the early upload! ❤️🐑
Lol! That sounds familiar!!
Bubly and cherries are the best. You and Mark are lucky to to have such respectful children.
I wonder who came with the name sheepishly me. That person is a legend . It's so correct in every way . Love this channel
Lol!
Love seeing everything in action! Thank you for sharing this side of your life. Tisk, tisk, tisk Prince William you know you need to keep your hard head to yourself 🤣🐏
LOL! I agree!
@@SandiBrock did you buy more of those delicious apples you came across?

I'm very happy to have been 1/100,000th responsible for you receiving your Silver Play Button. You've invited us into your lives and shared the good, the bad....and the ugly. I've learned so much from "ewe" and your brood, and have great respect for the those of you who keep the masses fed. Congratulations again! You deserve it! 👏
Sheepishly me 🤟 i mean wether it be sheep, lambing, hay, wheat or farm issues or fix ups i just love it all ❤️ you and your family are just genuinely fantastic hard working humans
Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 here. Glad I don’t need to wait to watch now 😊 thank you for thinking of us x
My pleasure!!
I grew up on a farm in Ontario and baling hay was the highlight of the summer. Our yearly family portrait picture was always taken on the last wagon load being brought in. That was with 9 to 13 children all on top of the hay bales. Your video brings back good memories!
That’s awesome!!
Keep those memories close. With all digital photos today, I think old photos are so much more precious.
It's so nice to hear you got to enjoy your Play button moment. I've watched my boyfriend stream and upload for over a year straight without any major successes yet so I can't even imagine the amount of dedication and work that goes behind that 100,000 subscriber number.. happy you could take a moment to reflect on it, and acknowledge the hard work it took.😘
Thanks so much Kari! Tell your boyfriend to not give up! You never know what video finally clicks with people!!
Now to clean up the equipment and get ready for the next crop to harvest. Busy busy time of year...oh yes, then there is sheep chores to do.....never an UN busy time at the Brock residence. So appreciate the time and energy it takes for you to take us along on these daily vlogs. Thank you.
Of course, we are here for you Sandi. 🤗 You are the perfect ending of every evening for me. 😃❤
I love everything to do with farming from crops to livestock! I am amazed at your drone footage! Your land is beautiful, the equipment is fascinating, and you are all so wonderful to spend time with! Canada also has the gorgeous “amber waves of grain”! Thank you Brocks for allowing us to share a bit of your lives!
You know Sandi, I just don’t get why people feel they have to post negative comments on your channel. You are videoing to be informative as well as entertaining. You and your family are so sweet and funny. It is easy to see how much you love each other! Mum always says “ if you can’t say something nice then do t say nothing at all”. Sounds like some people need to hear this message!!! Love you guys!
I have enjoyed watching the wheat harvest. You all work together and make it look like you never have a cross word between you. Good job raising such children to be fine young people. God bless you from Michigan
Jess Is amazing. I have a two year old and I'm trying my best, I'll be very proud of myself if she grows up to be like her. 🙂
Whoaaaa an early video from our pal Sandi 😘❤️ morning you 🤗😘😘
Yessss!!!! good morning!!!
I love watching the equipment work especially the combine and the Drone shots are wonderful! I also love the golden colour of the fields in the late afternoon sun absolutely stunning!
Sandi I really appreciate and enjoy watching your farm life!! Always wanted to live on a farm but Chicago, IL just couldn't fullfil that dream. You have made that possible and I feel like part of the family 🤣😃. Thanks, Jackie Kerr
You made me cry! I started to think of farming and all my uncles (now all in heaven)... but they use to argue “Rolled is best!” “ NO! Bailed is best!” Back and forth! No one ever won! Loved the field shots with the beautiful North America sky! Sorry about your eye! Darn 🐏
Oh Sandi this couldn't have come at a better time.
Had 2 more falls this morning. So thank you for cheering me up.xx
You’re a Big Influence and Inspiration to a LOT of People and your Total Viewership proves it. 👍
Morning Sandi! I couldn't sleep, and here's my favorite farmer. Love ya!
Oh I hope you'll be able to soon!
Awesome video! See you next time. Zzzzzzz😋
I couldn't sleep either and I was SO happy to see Sandi uploaded a video!!!!!!💜💜💜💜💜
Sandi, I just have to say that you inspire me in so many ways. Keep being you and keep doing what you do.
I think there is nothing better than lambs, but then I watch the big machines work and I am loving it so much. You bring joy to this arthritic old lady.
That’s great!
You so earned that play button why would you not be proud and why would anyone be negative? Good for you. Also Jess and Jack are hard workers. You must both be so proud of them both. Plus with them getting so involved it must ease the pressure on both you and Mark during harvest seasons.
Every morning when I get back from my walk, I make coffee, watch the sunrise and your videos. I work in finance behind a desk, but always wished I had been a farmer, so being a part of your farming life is a daily delight. Love the rthymn of sheep life balanced with the grain production - especially the drone footage with music. Thank you for making the start to my day so relaxing!!!
What beautiful drone footage especially where it showed Mark with Jess riding beside him and the hay baler also working beside them. I found this video light hearted with you eating those cherries, they looked awfully good. Everything was just really enjoyable and entertaining. Thanks.
Just found your channel last week. Wow, it is really good!! I have only watched a few of your videos, but I have learned to come prepared with tissues for the possibility of a good cry. I recently had a stroke and one of the side effects is difficulty controlling one's emotions. I hope your daughter enjoys Guelph. The rooms in Johnston Hall are huge. I used to live in one. Thanks so much for all you share.
I’m from Perth, Australia 🇦🇺 so we are 12 hrs ahead. Love the early upload 😜
I figured my friends from down under could watch before bedtime! Awesome!!
Hey, I'm from Sydney, nice to see another Aussie catching an early upload.
Yes I'm from Tasmania and I watch before bed. Makes me so happy ❤
I'm in NZ and up late 😊.
Well I'm in South Carolina and I like the early upload too!
Good morning Sandi, uncle is baling oat straw but we sell all of it. We are also baling 3rd cut of hay. We have all fleeces home and skirted. They will be shipped out on Monday. That is project that I hope I never have to do again this particular way. Normally skirting is done as the fleece come off the sheep. We skirt and roll it like sleeping bag and sent it out in recyclable bags to our buyers. This year everything had to be frozen 30 days because of our shearer coming early and the sheep not getting their dip first. Working on frozen and then thaw wool is stinkier then right off the sheep. Plus it seems heavier too. Have a great week, Sandi.
Sandi.
Always Happy for you with any gain / goal that you have achieved. Love to see farm folks get ahead. Thank You for all of the videos you make Sandi you are a specially great farm lady. Please Take Care of your self Plus Be Very Care Full around all Farm Equipment.
Big machinery is just the coolest! Could watch it all day
Sandi,
You are truly the best!!! I'm thankful you record and upload real content, the good & the bad, the ups & downs. You're real. You share your emotions in that moment of good or bad!! We all share in your emotions. We feel the loss with you. We also feel that joy when that ewe makes a comeback or a little lamb turns out to be a fighter!! Or the awwwww moment of Prince William seeking you out, during breeding, to get some snuggles & loving from YOU!!!! Unfortunately, we also feel your pain when he head butts you!!! 🤕🤯
You are loved very much, Sandi. 😍🥰😍🥰 We, I, ALWAYS look forward to your next upload!!! I'm thankful you share your profession, your family, and most of all your life!! You are totally and completely AMAZING!!! Please never forget that!! Also never forget you are so LOVED!!! 😍🥰😍🥰
Thank you Mel!!!!!!
I didn’t know you could walk down a flight of stairs angry until I saw Marc do exactly that 😆
So glad I found your channel.. Your an awesome caring person...
Sandi, just wanted you to know my wife and I have been watching your videos for quite some time. Your videos are some informative and interesting. I really don’t know how people could send you negative comments. Keep up the good work, we thoroughly enjoy watching you and your family.
I'm so glad you videoed your harvest. It's so fun to watch your family all working together. I do love a picturesque farm and yours has beauty by the bucketful!
Hi from BC. Loving, loving, loving the harvesting videos. I also love your sheep videos. 1 week post major back surgery so these are my entertainment. Thanks so much.
Oh the drone footage is so good isn’t it? It’s like watching busy little ants focus on their jobs"
the best!!!
I love the color of the field from the drone....beautiful!
We Love our Farmers and Ranchers!! Without them we would be lost!!! Your family is such and inspiration! I have friends who run cattle and farm and they are the best and hardest working people I know and are the most genuine!!! I see that in your family!!! A life well lived!!!
As a youth (maybe 12 years old) back in the early 70's, it was my turn to drive the truck to the combine and pickup. I hit the header. Yikes! Needless to say that was a job I never was assigned again. I then became the kid who ran the old hay baler and did livestock chores. Lol
OMG that wheat field is awesome.....wheat straw is the best. So bright and yellow. Thanks for sharing
I get excited when I see a new vlog up. You do such a great job explaining everything Sandy. I'm an old lady now but I would've loved to farming. My mom grew up in southern Saskatchewan in a little town called Yellow grass
with the train tracks and the grain elevators. It makes it So much easier to understand farming.
You guy always finish what you start god bless you guys and give you more strength I just love watching you
I love watching all the equipment dance in the fields. It's always been so fascinating when fall comes to see the corn and soybeans around here get harvested in only a day or two despite the huuuuuge fields
It’s a great time of year to share!
You and your family are amazing do you know that ....I love watching every video it's like I am there with you......love you Sandi hope your black eye gets better soon xx
Lol! No shiner thank goodness!
Sandi .....I have made you something I need to know where to send it 😉
Excellent that’s lots of work best part you’re daughter working along side be safe 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Aerial footage is amazing. Like artwork! Thank you for the vlog. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Drone footage was AWESOME! Loved seeing the wheat harvest! Thanks, Sandi! :)
Wow! The drone footage was spectacular! I feel like a toddler with a fascination for farm equipment and have been mesmerized with the harvesting! Thanks for all you do! Such very hard work, long hours and often awful conditions! Jess is a beautiful young woman and I try to catch her videos when I can! Sorry about the head butt! Careful you don’t have a concussion! I am missing the sheep and looking forward to a video with them! Stay well!
That final shot across the field is stunning! Such beauty, such a privilege to be able to live and work where you do. ✌️❤️
Amber waves of grain! Loved the dance!!!
I love the butterscotch color of the fields in the drone shots.
My 7 year old and i love your channel. We have a very tiny back yard (10×20) and cant have a big garden. But this year we planted some corn on the back fence all because of your channel!
Fantastic news. All done before all the rain. Love drone footage.
You guys rock, I don’t ever see you all get upset with each other, great videos 👍
Love seeing the Drone pics!! Very cool! Congratulations Sandi on the Silver Play Button!! 🎊🎉
I love your channel and your family's channels as well. I was a city girl growing up and most of my adult life. I just want you to know I find everything you guys do fascinating and I enjoy watching every day.
This is so fascinating, learning all that goes into the field farming. When I drive down the road it just looks like a bunch of folks driving tractors around, so easy!!! But you have given me an insight into all that goes into this. My grandparents grew hay, but on a much smaller scale, and started with draft horses and mules. Those machines are incredible!! Thanks for the tag along, and of course, congratulations on your CZcams award.
You and your family are amazing Sandi. You have tought your children well. So glad to spend another afternoon watching you.
Sandi so cool to see all the hard work from the eye of the drone, fasinating.Nice to see you all working together.
I was really fascinated with your beautiful drone shot, it looked just wonderful. I’m 70 next month and myDad took me out to his old stamping area when I was 18. His big ‘fascination’ in ‘68 was the wonderful header which only one or two of my them early 30’ish cousins could drive. The wheat was dropped into a truck which workers then bagged and stitched the bag tops up with. I am at the end of my LONG line of cousins. They thought they would have a fine laugh at me by daring me to stitch 6-8 bags. But the laugh was really on them. I had never sewn bag-tops but was quite a quick sewer and knew my knots. I didn’t beT the fast of the guys but left few ‘young buck’ in my path and out sewed all females.
My Day would have loved the sight of the drone. It sure is a pretty sight. My Dad passed away 37 yrs ago. He was born in 1907. I still miss him terribly. His life on the land was wheat, driving cattle, remaking horses and sheep. It shearing, he had 1 brother who did that and managing teams. There were 6 boys and 5 girls in his family.
Enough of my family history.
All my love,
Ellen. From Queensland Aut
Australia.
So interesting!!! Thanks Ellen!
so love watching your videos… the drone footage was beautiful and gives a different perspective of the acreage you guys have…. thank you for sharing your work, life and family… ❤
The drone footage was amazing. It's like a ballet.
Your fields are so beautiful! I love watching you harvest! It’s such hard work! Thank you for being farmers. My grandfather was an angus cattle farmer in central Illinois. I remember going to the farm to see the cows and my grandparents! Like you, going to the garden and watching them care for animals.
Ladies day on the combine.... Go on, it will be a blast...
Yeah all done till the next time around. I can see why the garage is always full of equipment being repaired or replaced. I wonder how many folks on here have ever worked in a wheat field? The fields are soooooo slippery it's like ice. The fields here in Washington State have huge fires if the equipment sparks while during the cuts. So glad you are happy to be done with one job. Blessings
You always help bring in the harvest every year, but I never see Mark helping you with your chores. What does Mark do in the winter when there's no fertilising and maintenance to do. Love your vlogs so much. And the people that give you grief, let them live in your shoes and see what they do, because your really great with your animals, caring, empathetic and above all animal welfare x
Awe thanks Teresa!! Mark stays busy year round, but he helps when I need him... just doesn't usually make my camera roll. LOL.
So you mentioned how you appreciated the comments about your Silver Play Button video and that it was nice not to receive negativity. I don’t read the comments but why in the world would people have to make negative comments about you and your videos?! I always look forward to yours, Mark’s and now Jess’. An amazing farm family doing your absolute best to care for your land and animals and provide food and fiber for the world. Plus you entertain me. I hope that someday I can road trip from Phoenix, Arizona, USA and meet you at your farm.
All the best, Clint
If you scroll all the way down in this comment section you'll see negative comments. Its bc people are rude and they don't know any better and also they don't care.
Ohh myy! Ur fields from up above look like fields of gold! Beautiful!
What a great video. Everybody so happy and fooling around. Glad so far everything is going well. Hope Prince William gets better.😘🐏
Enjoyed today’s video, even the snack of the day. Baler was very interesting.
Love your videos, watch on the wheat being harvested is beautiful . Took it for granted as a kid and young adult on our farm
She has got a heavy foot like her mom...... 😜 That really made my day.
Nicely done finishing wheat 2020! Boy I could watch the drone footage all day, one of those oddly satisfying things lol. Hope your head feels better Sandi, a good knock never feels good. Take care!💕
Good video. Thanks Sandi. God Bless your harvest.
It's always the friendly one's that get you.
True!
Great video! My 4.5 year old kiddo really loves the videos with all the big machines as much as he does the baby lamb videos ❤️ this has become one of his favorite channels! Cheers from NS. Keep being awesome 🙂
I can’t tell you how excited I get when I see a video drop from you. Every time I open CZcams I look for you first! As a viewer I feel like I’m part of your day and you are so genuine. I came for the lambs but I stay for you!
Congrats for finishing Wheat 2020 and that you are helping out fellow farmers is icing on top. Hugs from Halifax... still have not heard back from you though.... HUGS
U work so well as a family together congrats on finishing wheat brock family xx
The Equipment makes the Work Possible because of Field Size and Scope of the Various Tasks.👍
I love it when it's cherry season!
