His career of nice tunes is so plural that is hard to pick out one or two songs as the best. Here it is a real great artist of the showbizz that we will miss a lot when he is gone. We headbangers, course!
man... This song is from Bruce's last solo album before he re-joined Maiden... he left maiden in 1993, back in 1999, he wouldn't know if he would be back to Maiden... And the guitarrist IS Adrian Smith... he joined Bruce in 1997 and made 2 albums together, in 1999 they were back to Maiden, also together... Bruce once said that he wouldn't get back to Maiden if Adrian wasn't there... For that and so many reasons that Adrian is my mentor...
@arkansasbean There are several passages from the lyrics that seem culled directly from the books... but I won't give anything away if you're thinking of reading them. Only thing is this song was written before all seven books were complete, so whatever inspiration the books provided, it had to come from books one through four.
@arkansasbean Read Stephen King's "The Dark Tower" series. I'm utterly convinced those books were the Bruce's inspiration for these lyrics. How many other Dickinson and Maiden songs have been inspired by literature?
He is an amazing singer and this song is one of the heaviest and most intense metal songs EVER! Long live Bruce Bruce and Maiden!
MR. ADRIAN SMITH. The man who create the best classics of the BEAST. Powerslave and Somewhere in Time. Bruce + Adrian = amazing songs.
His career of nice tunes is so plural that is hard to pick out one or two songs as the best.

wow! from many of these angles Bruce looks exactly like my cousin... Creepy.
i really love this song it really stands on its own but it reminds me of wrathchild haha
A deep song
The bassline to this song vaguely reminds me of the one in Wrathchild. Both very good songs, by the way.
amem brother
@ummagumma84 actually the inspiration behind the whole album is the work of William Blake, hence the artwork.
maiden is my favorite band but bruce is the best vocalist in any band and to be honest sometimes i like more his solo performance than maiden itself
that intro is almost the same as the intro of wrathchild, when i heard the intro i was like WTF that's wrathchild. :p
Bass melody at start is almoust like in Wrathchild.
love this song bruce is are fucken legend up the fucken irons...................
search for "Bruce Dickinson - The Tower (1998)" it has a far better audio quality!
Watch time 1:26...totally reminds me of the cover art to Piece of Mind...Up the Irons!!!

bruce is awesome for letting people hang him upside-down in a strait-jacket
Haha, that doll is freakin funny, raising its eyebrows! =P .. Needless to say, but Bruce is G*D
i was goin to post that XD..

Killer tune. The only thing missing is Eddie (and fortunately, the spandex).

Hwta an awsome song, the begining it sounds like wratchild: iron maiden,
UP THE IRONS
UP THE BRUCE
UP THE ADRIAN!
the start of this song has an uncanny resemblance to wrathchild (just the first 8 seconds)
The intro reminds me of Wrathchild a bit
@davemurray16 First, nice name, love him :).. Allmost
Great fuckin' song
Pleased he decided to hang up his spandex tights back in the eighties.
UP THE BRUCE
and the irons
hey Bruce can i have the puppet? i think it kicks ass
UP THE DICKINSON!!!!!!
@Aarisure me too. LOL
I love Bruce and Maiden. But this music sounds a lot like Wratchild for me. The groove of the frist seconds, and the Adrian's verse riff.
Yeah, it sounds a lot like wrathchild. The guitar too.
By who exactly?
Some of Maiden's best songs were recorded without Bruce on vocals.
I know that there's also a "killing floor" video
Who plays the guitar?
What a satanic doll!lol
great song,UP THE IRONS AND UP BRUCE AS WELL!!!\o/
Its very similar NO LIES from Tatooed Milionaire.
Adrian's solo's inspired by Michael Schenker
@arkansasbean
Read Stephen King's "The Dark Tower" series. I'm utterly convinced those books were the Bruce's inspiration for these lyrics. How many other Dickinson and Maiden songs have been inspired by literature?
