    In this video you will learn how to give medication to the patient through nebulization. The most common medication which is given through nebulization is bronchodilator which is administered to asthmatic patient. This medication helps the bronchi to be dilated so that the air flowing through it during respiration will be increased thus wheezing and difficulty of breathing will be relieved. Ensure that the first six rights of giving medication were done before its administration. To make you always reminded with it, let me cite it once again. These are: the right medication ordered by the doctor to be given to the right patient, with the right dose, through the right route which is nebulization, at the right time, and using the right approach to the patient.

    Why do you connect the medication to oxygen rather than nebulizer machine?
    This is my first time of seeing nebulization being done with oxygen instead of a nebulizer machine. May I know the rationale behind this?

    Im using a commercial compressor nebulizer. However, my patient is lying on bed, and after 15 min. the medication inside the cup wont consume. Does it affect the cup being at an angle?

    • @boricua616
      @boricua616 Před 7 lety +1

      SpanishFly75 the cup needs to be upright. If it's leaning to the side or an angle, the medication won't mix with the battle, which is what creates the most so the can breathe. Also try not to use the facemask. They'll get a lot more of the medication if they use the mouthpiece.

    • @twangismythang
      @twangismythang Před 5 lety

      It is a Muslim custom to address any female of the Islamic 'Ummah' (community) as "Sister". The same goes for men whom they refer to as "Brother". You will find this to be the case in all Islamic countries.
