  • I finally commit to finding a bucket-list animal of mine: the Atlantic Puffin. Which lives far out on a protected island off the coast of Maine. Seal Island National Wildlife Refuge is home to over 100 species of birds. It is home to colonies of many types of seabirds, like Atlantic puffins, double-crested cormorants, razorbills, Leach's storm petrels, eiders, and black guillemots. I launch out of Stonington and paddle through a beautiful archipelago of islands, camping on them on my way out. I spend 3 days and two nights camping on an island for this trip.
