The late Disney star's parents, Libby and Victor Boyce, talked to Amy Johnson about their efforts to raise money in support of epilepsy research and advocacy.
I was diagnosed with epilepsy at age 19. I had my first seizure on October 27th around 1:20 am. I had started shaking really bad, then I was foaming at the mouth. It was so scary. So far I had a total of 4 seizures. I am taking some medicine for it right now. So I completely understand what Cameron has been through. My thoughts and prayers are with the Boyce family 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 R.I.P Cameron 🕊️💔
My first comment didn’t upload. My 15 year old son was diagnosed with epilepsy at 10 from falling at gym and hitting his head so hard on the floor. Since then he has seizures about 1 a month sometimes less sometimes more. He is on the highest dose of the newest medication out there plus an added extra medication bc his seizures are so bad. He stops breathing. Turns blue. It’s very scary and he had never had one before that day. I pray for all the parents of kids with epilepsy.
I was diagnosed with Epilepsy and Grandmal seizures at the age of 7, during my childhood i was kept away from all these things i wanted to do and was sheltered my entire childhood due to my parents worrying that if im doing the wrong thing at the wrong time i could die and i have had many seizures during my life and been in hospital countless times until i was put on medication that i take twice a day everyday and i have not had a seizure in 3 years im 24 now, but i still have them so i still continue to take them to not have them its not an easy life for the parents to have a kid with a serious condition like my seizures it only worries them everyday and even tho i dont live with them anymore they are still always scared
Also I had no idea there were epileptogist. Matter of fact my phone keeps telling me the word don’t exist. My son sees a great pediatric neurologist. But it’s hard. He will never be able to drive a vehicle. I worry about him going to college. If someone is not with him that knows how to treat his seizures he can pass. It’s terrifying. Very hard for the families!
I have epilepsy, I had two parts of my brain resected but take 12 pills a day and am still having seizures, just not as many tonic clonics that I had daily before the removal. Thank you for helping us! We love your son 💜
