The announcement came days after Biden froze bomb shipments to Israel over concerns about the operation in Rafah. The new long-term assistance includes tank munitions and mortars. Last week, a US government report found that Israel's use of American weapons was "inconsistent" with international law. Yet, Biden is keen on giving more military aid to Israel.
