I’m a fisherman, I’m a hunter. I love both sports and support most who engage in it. My family holds multiple iGFA world records and I was practically raised in the ocean. I’ve caught my fair share of big game fish and sharks growing up in the Caribbean, so trust me, I’m experienced and generally unbiased. I must say, I don’t disagree with anything he did here except the shark is a relatively small Mako, so anyone saying it’s a big one, hasn’t seen a big one (on the small size actually) and it definitely suffered. I mean, it didn’t suffer more than one of the fish I’ll have on the line for hours with a 12-0 hook in its mouth, some fish I’ve caught even die of exhaustion from fighting, it’s just the nature of the sport. No need to be unrealistic about it or sugar coat it. I personally wouldn’t do this, I have better fish to catch. Fish that have higher utility and stronger populations. But I don’t hate on him, he has his right to harvest the ocean. Plus, he’s a great hunter in areas where he would definitely school me and many others.

The tail is shaped for hydrodynamics, first for speed,then for agility. The cutwaters on the rear tail edges are for tail efficiency, muscle attachment without water resistance that would rob power.
It dont think that they'd be able to get on board if it was any bigger. Ever caught one on rod and reel, they're a handful so catching a bigger one using a bow would not be fun or easy

harpooned a mako last summer, wildest show ive ever seen from the mako jumping. One of the biggest makos ive ever seen as well. Took 2 harpoons and 2 buoys
I caught a 318 pound bull shark in the 90s and the guide cut out the jaws and gave me some peroxide that's a little stronger than over the counter stuff, it was from a beauty shop for hair, anyways i scrubbed the jaws down with that and a toothbrush a couple times and they dried a beautiful white.
Suprized no one who hunts sharks uses a 2x4 to put in there mouth to keep them from biteing you, Back when I surf fished I always carried a 4ft 2x4 to put in the sharks mouth, NEVER got bit.
Funny you say "he dint suffer" but you had to shoot twice and you sure mangled the fuck out of him w that hook caught up, bringing it into the boat, raw footage dont lie. Anyway nice work what's next.
