St. Paddy's Day is coming soon, what better way to celebrate by playing a Jig for the occasion.
This fun Irish Jig was written by Jeff Berlin and aptly titled
Jack O'Clubs, Phil O'Dendron, Paddy O'Furniture Irish Jig No 1
it appeared in Guitar Player Magazine from May 1985.
It is a fun tune written with chord tones and diatonic notes that will have you move all over the bass neck and practice string skipping.
Truth be told it took me longer than I had expected to nail this one down.
Those wide intervals require quite a bit of practice to get muscle memory to kick in.
Enjoy!
Bass: Eastwood Club Bass with flats.

Jeff Berlin wrote this for the May 1985 edition of Guitar Player magazine. I have the edition ...replete with coffee stains. Nice job. I am working it up for this St. Patrick's Day
That's fantastic
Just what I was looking for: jigs on bass

Awesome! 👍 Comes close to J.S. Bach, doesn't it?
It does!
Just an idea but you could do a blues solo to the song 'she caught the katy' from the blues brothers. Amazing video btw
