Actually sectumsempra makes a lot of cuts in your body, and makes you bleed a lot. So it's not that good, because there is a spell/spells that can heal you pretty fast, and soon, you won't have any cuts anymore.

I always felt Crucio was scarier then the Killing Curse cuz the killing curse you can easily see the green light coming at you while Crucio seemed like instant debilitating pain. Least in me movies there was no light or any thought of dodging. Just instant pain.
Green light is still light, when’s the last time you could dodge at the speed of light? Harry only blocks it cause he knows it’s coming but Belatrix got the drop on Sirius and he didn’t stand a chance

The magic does not move at the speed of light. The light coming off it would move at the speed of light so you could see it coming before it actually got to you. It would be like throwing a glow stick at someone the light for the glow stick moves at the speed of light even thought the glow stick is not moving at the speed of light

I don't know if you can say the patronus is powerful. Sure it's difficult and can ward off dementors but aside from that what else? I mean Harry didn't and couldn't even use it fighting death eaters nor Voldy himself. It'd be basically be a useless spell under any circumstances other than warding off dark creatures.
Conjuring a patronus is hard. Only powerful wizards can do it.

It can cancel out already operating incantations it can’t just cancel out most spells though, protego would be needed to block those.

Asside from missing out on Protego Maxima, you forgot Fiendfyre (sp?). That is a spell that can destroy a Horcrux. We don't know for sure that even Avada Kadavra can do that. Also, also: Expelliarmis seems so much stronger than it actually sounds. If your opponent doesn't have their wand, they can't cast at you. This is the reason Harry is such a talented duelist.
Tbh I’m not a Harry Potter fan so idrk too much of the general lore, but wouldn’t a gun beat any of these spells?

All the quiet spells Dumbledore and Voldemort use when they battle are probably more powerful than most of these.

Dumbledore uses a spell (Love) that is so powerful, Voldemort actually has to use a shield to block it.
There's also Priori Incantatem, which accesses the wand's memory and divulges what was previously cast. Useful for law enforcement at the very least. Or industrial espionage.
I'm surprised Obliviate wasn't on here. Imagine your about to get into a fight or are midway through a fight and all of a sudden you're like Lockhart, not knowing anything about what going on. It would have been a easy way to deal with voldemort too.
I dunno...just cast Protego, I guess. I mean, if it can protect you from Legilimens, then perhaps it can do the same with Obliviate as well.

Expelliarmus was only really good for specifically Harry vs voldemort. If another wizard with similar skill as harry, like cederic for example, would have died.

The most powerful spell in my opinion is transmorgrifrian (or something like that) torture. It’s basically a combination of avada kedavra and crucio (there’s more info in Potter more/wizarding world). This is also the curse which Lockhart thinks Mrs Norris was under after she was petrified (“I knew just the counter curse which could have saved her”)
Putting expecto patronum before avada kedavra is crazy, one is completely situational and the other works on almost anything

In the second Fantastic Beasts movie, Grindelwald Casts the Most powerful spell ever using the elder wand called “Protego Diabolica.” If I’m not mistaken, it was confirmed to be the strongest spell ever, which makes sense since it is cast by one of the strongest wizards ever using the most powerful wand ever

I would like to point that a mountain troll was murdered with a wingardium leviosa.
petrificus totalis is also a great spell in combat. it may not be as explosive or visually impressive but it's great to cast. if you hit your target, cast a reducto to a petrified target to shatter it. if you hit an unintended target, cast finite to release the petrified ally.
jokes aside, Accio is also quite powerful as proven by harry during the triwizard or the twins when they leave hogwarts by summoning their brooms.
it may not look that powerful but we can't forget Legilimens to read your enemy thoughs.
and, finally, I believe the most powerful spell we can see is the fidelius. powerful enough to completely hide an entire building
or, if you take it as a spell, the unbreakable vow is also extremely powerful. powerful enough that it has no counter. once the vow is given, it's given for life.

Imperio is terrifying, I think drastically more powerful than the other unforgivable curses in pure utility. Its not through torture or killing that put the ministry of magic under evil control, but manipulating the actions of another. It can also force someone to be framed, be distrustful of friends and family... etc. Its a spell that wrecks havoc on the world, making it the no.1 strongest spell in my books
I think Protego Diabolica is the most dangerous spell overall, its a massive AOE attacking and defensive spell that leaves anyone loyal to you unharmed.
When Grindlewald cast it in the movie he pretty much annihilated just under 20 Aurors without them even standing a chance, Aurors which are basically the strongest wizards below people like the Dark Lords and Dumbledore.
Imperio might be the best Utility spell but Imperio cant do much when you can only enthrall one person when your fighting potentially dozens of opponents. Even Avarda Kedavra can only kill a single person while Protego Diabolica could theoretically burn down an entire continent.
Imperio is not that great of a spell if people can just have great willpower it won’t work

What about the Fiendfyre spell that Goyle used in the Deathly Hallows part 2, which can and did destroy a Horocrux? It can't be extinguished by water whether naturally or thriugh enchantment.
Crabbe actually casted it and he died from it but in the movies instead of getting a new crabbe because of whatever happened they just put in a random slytherin

Bro, why is "Sectum Sempra"(idk the exact spelling I didn't watch Hp in English) is so underrated? You can easily kill anyone with it and it's not banned spell. For those wondering: this is the spell Harry used to cut Draco in episode 6. He found this spell in the Snape's book
Because its not that underrated. Unless Sectum Sempra slashes your throat then it could take anywhere from five minutes to hours for the person to Bleed out.
Simply put, why bother casting a spell that takes several minutes to really do anything compared to casting something like Bombarda, Imperio, Petrificus Totalis, Stupify etc.
If you want your target dead then there are better spells and if you want your target incapacitated then Stupify or Imperio are vastly better since you dont have to worry about your target struggling or potentially bleeding out in 15 minutes.
The only real use for Sectum Sempra is for Sadists that are toying with people much weaker than them and just want them to suffer.
