Just stay away from everyone then. This attitude is so selfish and gross. I get it.. but to take so much pride in being the center of the universe is incredibly me me me at the core.
@@pennyp7382 I didn't say I never socialize because I do, and I definitely enjoy socializing but it can also wear me out quicker than what the case is for extroverts. And that's the thing about us introverts that needs to be understood: We don't hate people and we also don't view ourselves as the center of the universe (I certainly don't view myself as such) so to accuse every introvert out there of being self absorbed and narcissistic is just really ignorant in my opinion. Us introverts are as different as people in general. Some are more outgoing than others but we generally need more alone-time than extroverts and that's perfectly okay. OMG! So true!! I agreed to a weekend of family hiking. While my family knows I'm an introvert, they don't understand how draining it is. I was exhausted afterwards. They were shocked, since I'm an avid runner and in better shape than them. I had to explain that a 10 mile hike is no problem, but the 60 minute car ride where I had to make polite conversation had me crashing.
Exactly. Its the car ride with other people that i would avoid at all costs. My husbands like just jump in with us for the 2 day trip or come camping with us and sleep in our tent. Im crying inside because the holiday has become more stressful than i can endure.
The term is wayyy overused. You're just a too good B. It's exhausting for you to compare yourself to them. You constantly have to "be" someone else around people...MOST PEOPLE THAT IDENTIFY AS AN "INTROVERT" ARE REALLY JUST FAF. FAKE AS FUCK.
@@jessieelliott3157 What a pathetic mindset. 😒 Most "introverts" are just bitches. Entitled..whiney...me me me. Introverts are just so wrapped up in themselves...how dare you 😤 😫. High school graduation this past weekend! Several nice parties, and by the end the introverts were all saying this! Several people I didn’t guess to be introverted, too. It doesn’t mean we don’t like people or can’t socialize, it just means we neeeed recovery time!
My poor husband has been accused of treating me some sort of way because I'm a power introvert and he knows talking for me sometimes makes it easier when people play 20 questions with me. I just don't like to talk and talk. My husband loves to talk. Let our extroverts absorb some of the blow without assuming I'm being bulldozed lol
So true! My friends didn’t understand why I didn’t want to hang out this weekend but I had a big week last week! Between work and helping out with VBS in the evenings I was sooooo DONE with people! But this week should be a bit quieter!
I so understand. I have to conduct kids art classes for 2 hours three times a week and while it's on so am I. After I crash and sometime shed a tiny tear.
I can totally relate. I'm a people person but only with people I know and feel comfortable. But even then, I'm exhausted sometimes and the visit needs to be for short periods of time. It has gotten worse for me with age & I'm 57.
Whoever’s reading this, I pray that whatever your going through gets better and whatever your struggling with or worrying about is going to be fine and that everyone has a fantastic day! Amen::
Unless I'm with people I really like very much, I'm not much of a people person either. I didn't even mind quarantine very much. I missed going to the library and the forested backyard at Climping, but *otherwise I enjoyed my quarantine period very much* (the day after Memorial Day through June 7). I had the internet and Harry Potter books to entertain me.
Not me, if I'm hungover I definitely drank, but my adult daughter. Even when she was a teen and did sleepovers, she'd come home a disappear for a day or two just to process and unwind.
Crawl up in bed with soft pillows and comforters, take some aspirin and ibuprofen, sip some tomato juice or hot green tea,go sleep and be lazy for 2 days. Just Do It America !!!
just had to go get new car battery have covid test and stopped at local grocery, so don't want to deal with people for WEEKS but must have one interaction tomorrow and several Wednesday.. gonna take all my grit to do it.
Lol 😂 in my case I get a hangover for extroverts. If I’m alone, I get an extrovert hangover because I crave attention and it feels like I’m suffocating when I can’t go out 😂
I wish there was a "concoction drink" for this....like a raw egg mixed with tomato juice or something. (barf) But, I would try and drink that just to get rid of that feeling after social activity. xo
This is my husband, I try to plan "rest Days" in for him after we hang out with people. 😂 I don't fully understand it... And my family REALLY doesn't understand it, which is hard. 🤗❤️
There is not a drop of exaggeration in this. This is presicely how it is. Even with people I really like/love but whom not of my immediate family. Even with them I need a break every now and then 😅🤷🏻♀️
1) I can so relate to this! 2) Holderness Family, I know this isn't the main focus of this video, but I know that you appreciate human diversity, so I'll say it. Happy Pride Month. 🙏❤️🏳️🌈
