      You are completely messing up and oversimplificate insanity and ignore the importance of their powerlevels.
      Different psychological illnesses or personal disorders create different attributes and behaviours there is not one which is clearly more harmful than another.
      Stormfront is an extremist but very stable in her behavior and goals which leads to a much more effective procedure of her plans.
      Homelander is very unstable and more powerful which appears more frightening for healthy minds, because he is not predictable.
      At the same time he is less effective in planning his actions
      And additionally messes up his own actions constantly through changing priorities
      Without his invulnerability he wouldn’t pose a great threat at all or could be very easily countered

      @@TheSolarium18 Stormfront is a lunatic because she's a literal superhero and shares a sentiment that a certain bloodline should rule the Earth. That entire premise was based around ethno nationalism and some idea that ethnic purity would lead to a powerful nation. This makes absolutely no sense in a world with V. Homelander is not extra strong because of his blond hair and blue eyes obviously.. It's because he was a genetic experiment. That's why Liberty was insane and ridiculous, yet seemingly more 'normal' than HL. At the same time obviously as mentioned HL sees everyone as beneath him so what's worse? Not caring if everyone dies, or not caring if only certain ethnicities die?

      It would be redundant and all you'd see is Homelander. Get someone to imitate him like Zac Efron who needs a much needed rebrand since his Dude-Bro era. The goal is to portray a relatable and supportive Eobard Thawne like in Season 1 who then reveals his true intentions but still is likeable to everyone else but Barry is the only one who knows his true evil. That's the understated level of Passive Aggressive sociopathy I liked in Mean Girls.

      @@maxdam4059 But Zac Efron is more mainstream and 34, while Anthony Starr is tv famous and R rated and 47 years old. Usually tv stars don't crossover to movies. Hollywood casts protagonists in their 30's for longevity. And I think Zac Efron has so much potential, he proved as much leaving and rebranding himself from Disney. He just got caught up in the Dude bro-phase that garnered a lot of attention and money and it halted him.
      Zac Efron has the potential to be Brad Pitt or Kurt Russell who was also a Disney kid. He's taking way too long to establish an A list persona. He can't be taken seriously as a good guy, let's see him play a different role: Ted Bundy gave him an edge. Robert De Niro thrived off of anti-heroes and villains like Travis Bickle and Max Cady and mafia leaders.

      @@maxdam4059 Also, I don't want the same Eobard Thawne. The over the top salivating deranged brute is way too overdone. Maybe make him more relatable and charming and that's what makes him scary like Zac in Neighbours when the nerdy undercover frat turned on Seth Rogen during the hazing. Maybe Eobarde behaves like Homelander when he feels humiliated.
      Go for understated Ted Bundy vibes where people would defend him if he was on trial. That's why I mentioned Zac Efron. Contrast a very handsome guy who's a villain with the weird Barry Allen. Eobard is his first friend because Barry doesn't have friends. Movies are meant to present teachable moments because they distribute them around the world. TV can go rogue.

Well then my boy, you'll finally be who you were always meant to be. Pure, clean, like marble."*
    The season 3 finale just wrapped up and all I gotta say is......GOD DAMN HOMELANDER. This character is up there, in my opinion, with some of the best comic book movie villains like Heath Ledger's Joker and Thanos and a lot of it comes from the writing by Eric Kripke and his team, as well as the truly brilliant performance from Antony Starr. However, this quote has always stick with me as the one that captures who Homelander is at his core: an infant who still seeks the approval of a parental guardian and no matter how invincible he may be, he will never be able to overcome that because it's his heart's true desire. I do think that the final moments of Season 3 teased Homelander finally being who he has yearned to be this entire time: loved and accepted for who is, even if that's a murderous psychopath.

"Hitler may have killed 6 mil, but he was traumatized by the great war so he wasn't necessarily evil". It excuses the actions of any and anyone. I disagree with the word "perfection" after season 3. Homelander became so well liked that the writers refuse to do anything to him which makes the show stale. I could totally predict that season 3 will be just another season 2 where a new secondary villains shows up and by the end of the season the secondary villain is defeated yet Homlander's status hasn't changed at all. It's like the entire season was completely unnecessary. Every season Homelander fills in the same kind of character. He is there in his position of power at Vought, making threats and butchering some people occasionally, clearly being a huge threat, yet in the end he is never the 'official villain' of the season.

    • @jonathanbacklin9425
      @jonathanbacklin9425 Před rokem +8

      I mean towards the end of season 3 it wasnt as much as they didnt dare kill him, the boys stopped him to save themselves. They provided them a choice. Butcher would rather that Ryan lives then homelander dying. They could have let soldier boy kill all of them including homelander in the tower but they didnt. But i do agree with You that they dont want to kill him off. He is carrying a big part of the show and its working for them

    • @LucyWest370
      @LucyWest370 Před rokem +1

      I dont think thats entirely true. Homelander now has Ryan completely backing him (for the most part) which will add a new dynamic. If you ask me 2 was the unecessary one considering Stormfront just dies and doesnt do anything

    He can be killed now. Unless we are willing to accept minor inconsistencies in the writing on Homelander's durability.
    Hear me out. Maeve made Homelander bleed. TWICE. which is fine. I like Maeve. But now... It is reasonable to assume that Homelander is vulnerable internally (nose and ear drums).
    Keep in mind that Maeve did not use an insane amount of force that cannot be replicated with special weapons in the CIA and FBI's arsenal.
    So by this logic, he can be killed or at least fatally wounded with a precise shot inside the nostrils or Ear Canal, with a weapon that can replicate the force generated by Maeve, which again, isn't impossible.
    This feels a little inconsistent because season 1 stated that no weapon on earth could harm him.

    • @henrydbras4743
      @henrydbras4743 Před rokem

      well for one no where have they ever shown us that the government can replicate the power of maeve and i for one very much doubt they can and yea he said no weapon can harm him cause again they probabely cant make a weapon that powerful and even if they can it is also reasonable to assume they havent and then even if they have why would they tell the one person its supposed to be used against about it thus making what he said completely fine no matter what possible way you think about it

    • @SayianZZ
      @SayianZZ Před rokem +4

      She used a regular metal to pierce his ear. How did a regular tool even harm him. It feels as you said the writing is not consistent. Also when when he deals punches there should be shock waves due to the impact but it feels like regular humans fighting here.

      To be fair, it has stated that Maeve has been training enough to be able to at least land a few good blows on homelander, which was what she also wanted, that and well, she’s pretty much an actual trained combatant, and because of that, it helped her hold off against homelander.
