Wow , this FX , first year Super Glide is Absolutely " Mint ! I had bought a " 71 " motor in a rigid wishbone frame , with a 1975 front end , with a disc brake ! From Buster , in Salem Mass . I'm saying that the factory 71" motors were Promo ! I must have ran it for 50 thousand miles and the guy I sold it to , also must have ran it somewhere near 50 thousand miles ! Super - Reliable !
I was with my oldest brother when he bought his brand new 1972 FX just a couple weeks before this owner bought his (9/15/71). This was at Kramer’s Harley-Davidson in Lincoln, NE. He traded in his stock 1968 XLCH.
I had the exact copy, regrettably I restored it .
I never saw a lìghter on an FX.
