In south India people are willing to pay more for movies and the experience
After covid there have been a huge number of re releases that one could watch from homes but have gone to theatres for the experience.
So the question should be what would make people attracted to theatres and more premiumisation would actually work the drop will be exponential since we are a cost sensitive market.
in south people only watch their fav. actor movie specially if its mass movie, they don't care about story, direction or anything. they just want to see their fav actor beating villain and they can dance with fellow friends in theater

Among the people in the podcast she is the only one from entertainment industry... So I think she chose to give unconvincing explanation ... U know be wise enough to be a fool
The problem with Bollywood is that people lost interest and its because of nepotism. Art needs creativity and not everyone is born with it. They should bring in more outsiders that are talented and creative. Let them work and you’ll see how far Bollywood will go!

People are craving smarter content. Smarter comedies, dramas, action, etc. Less of the old school slapstick clownish overacting content. Bollywood is the face of India abroad and as such, we want Bollywood to stop embarrassing Indians.

I think its not that theres something wrong with the industry but people have more liberty to choose what they want to watch and invest their time . In 80s and 90s films in theatres and fairs that happen once or twice in a week were the major source of entertainment for people regardless of gender . Also no social media were we could get revies .. only word of mouth publicity..so sucess is mostly based on bigger names associated with the film like heros heroine superhit songs Director...but now content is the king. Language Barriers are also reducing people in south appreciate hindi films and vice versa. So stars from south are as popular as Bollywood stars nowadays. And also films are reviewed within hours of its release in theatres and otts. With so much content available people have liberty to choose..so obviously they will chose better one ..also paid reviews ka zamaana gaya 😂.. and also in older times one has to wait for 2-3 years to see film in tv if not watched in thetees .. but now as soon as it get out of theatres it could be watched in ott.
So i think now thetres with good watch experience life one with good vfx and horror thrillers ,people love to watch in thetres and romantic comedy in otts.

Oppenheimer was a serious movie still it attracted a wide audience..Indians just want good content !!!
According to me the content of the movie was not apricated much in India. I think the reason for the hit of Oppenheimer was the 'hype' of the movie on Instagram and CZcams.

Tara Sutaria seems to be this person who just uses big words to look and sound intelligent but in reality she isn’t. Her acting, her interviews, her appearance everything is superficial and seems pretentious. There is just something off about her.
