- Switched from my Subaru STI to a 2013 Dodge Charger R/T and love it! Installed this Flowmaster Force II Cat-back exhaust purchased from StreetSideAuto (highly recommended, very fast and free shipping) and I was surprised how much louder it is in person from stock. I had heard people on forums say it was "almost as quiet as stock" but the bass rumble is VERY different. I used the exactly same distance and levels on my audio recorder (Zoom H4N) and you can hear how much louder it is.
More mods/videos to come! My wife is 8 months pregnant and refused to participate in this video ;)
i've watched tons of these videos trying to hear what the drone might sound like when MDS kicks in. this is by far the best done video. great job
1:08 one of the most satisfying sounds ever, man does that car sound badass.
Just keep bringing great quality videos! cars are a passion for me.
Hmmm I think I just made up my mind! Thank you for sharing this!
Nicely done exhaust video!
Thanks! It's from the Tron soundtrack and I love that song too, I dropped it for the exhaust revving since I wanted to make sure it was easy to hear it
Awesome vid man! I couldn't decide between all of the exhaust options out there. I had watched tons of vids, but after watching this one I was sold! Just ordered mine.
It's because of this video alone that I'm getting a flowmaster series 44 for my charger. Thank you very much!
Damn. Sounds like the Force II solves my biggest problem with the stock exhaust: no bass. It's one of the few things I miss about my 2007 Mustang GT that my new 2014 Charger RT doesn't give me. This kit just made the top of my list. Thanks for posting it!
I have 2014 as well. It is annoyingly quiet.
I have a 2011 Charger R/T AWD and have the Force II kit also. Great sounding, very minimal to no drone at all, roars when you get on it. I have considered a few times switching to the American Thunder system with the Super 40 mufflers and no resonators, or just taking out the resonators but I've decided not to. It sounds great the way it is.
Excellent video. This is how a video should be made. Excellent comparisons. As for the exhaust. Its the loudest Force 2 I've heard. Those are usually the quiet ones
Last note, paint the garage. My parents had a 2.5 car garage that had all the spackle spots on the walls for years and I finally snapped one day. Took 2 days off from work, got a case of good beer and primed/primed/painted/painted the sucka. Power washed the floor some new shelving and moved everything back in. Looks like a million bucks.
No disrespect to you. Make it a fall time buddy project. The wifey will love it.
Cheers
I had flowmaster glasspacks on my truck and I miss hearing those babies roar! Stuck with a V-6 Jeep right now, but may be getting one of these soon! Nice video!
Love the upload...thank you!! I'm in the process of buying a 2013 R/T and this sounds perfect!!
Nice
Perfect song for a perfect car
Small children or not its great choice.I dont have any small kids and dont need four doors,I could have bought a Challenger but went with the Charger R/T. I dont get the haters who put Charger against Challenger. I love the car. Good job on the video
love the Tron music!!
Kid kudi
Now that is how you make an exhaust video comparison, well done !
I'm sure now you love it! Everytime I drive past a challenger, ( or any other car almost lol) I once again realize how glad I am that I picked this car and what a great pick it was. The only cars I would trade with my charger are the cars I couldn't afford.
I hope you still got the STI!!. THE MS3 and the STI were the reason for my love to your channel :D
I know this video was uploaded a while back but I still love the 2011-2014 Charger. A two door version of this body style would've been a beautiful thing
Sounds awesome, Flowmaster has always been my favorite for years. I put the Force II on my wife's '10 and it sounds good ...even for a V-6.
Man that Flowmaster exhaust kit sounds awesome on that car
sounds nice with the flowmaster! that how a muscle car should sound!
i never heard a nice exhaust like this!!1 Usually those exhaust is too extreme, but this one absoultly wonderful!!!!
About a month ago, I traded my GTi for the R/T AWD. Had a pretty good snow storm a couple of weeks ago, the Charger did way better than I could have asked. Went up a 10-15% grade with 4-6 inches of snow with no problem. The rest of the drive was driven with a lot more confidence. It was like there wasn't even snow on the road. That was the moment when I really fell in love with my 2013 Charger R/T AWD. I also have owned a 2008 R32...still would choose my Charger out of all of them :-D
Love the sound and feel of the Flowmaster, I have the 13' daytona, but instead of leaving the mid mufflers I cut them out and went straight pipe back to the flows, sounds like a beast.
2:03 drone starts. Sounds amazing, thanks for the video! My fear with this on my charger r/t was drone at crusing, but it didn't seem that bad. The stock has no drone at all, but you have to give a little to take a little.
Dodge has done a very nice job with the Chargers.
Love your new ride man! Thanks for uploading.
My favorite Dream Car
Man this is Awesome!! I was stuck between the 2016 and the 2013 rt, but you can't beat Awd.
Elijah Anderson yeah I've been looking into R/Ts and I like the 2015+ body style but I need awd for my work commute so I'm searching around for a 2014
Dakota Hawk twin pine auto sales in Ephrata, PA has a black on black awd rt. I bought mine 2 days ago. they have another hitting the lot this week.
Love the tron sound clip, great video, nice work
Thank you, and yes I was VERY surprised how loud it was vs the videos I saw before. I think it's because people's camera audio never picks up how much bass this thing has, either that or mine is just redonkulously loud. Either way I love it, and at idle it's very tame
dude nice review! Thumbs up. Straight forward,,no wierd metal music just the facts.
I have reviewed dozens of the vids so far. Either they put the camera/mic too close to the exhaust tips or just rev the piss out of the engine. Idle/driving is the way to go.
So since Jan-13 any 2nd thoughts or changes? And issues with rust/rattling/mpg/check engine light/emissions? The guy I work with has a 11 STI setup like you did. Now he is going nuts with sound deadening. HA, careful what you ask for!
i have this car and I love it!!!
Do it cost alot monthly
Chalil Johnson that was 6 years ago
@@daveyjones7970 lol 😂
Its not really, I just had to call Flowmaster and paid about $60 for the pipes. Great video, looks amazing!
Holy crap wide open was sick.
That gave me chills
Thanks for the video, I think you just sold me on this exhaust.
Great video, i just bought a 2014 Charger R/T and will add the Flowmaster Force II!
THAT SOUNDS BEAUTIFUL MY BROTHER ,NICE TOUCH
Great comparaisonnvideo, probably the best out there! Thanks. Subscribed
I actually totally thought that too until I heard it in person vs my stock exhaust and a JBA catback and I preferred the slightly quieter bass tone of the flow master. With 1.5 kids now I have to keep it a little quieter :)
Oh my gosh... Wide open was AMAZING!! I need one of these!!!
Good video! For others checking exhausts theres another very good one on here under Magnaflow 2012 charger SRT8 - its another great exhaust vid.
I love the sound track from Tron: Legacy.
Posted comment about it, but as a daily driver the charger is better for sure. If I could have kept the STI as a weekender it would have been amazing. This dodge has so many random things that make my commute etc better, it just handles like a tanker ship on the beach filled with lead and balanced on a giant pile of baby seals. Well it's not THAT bad, but compared to the STI...
I have a 2.5 year old and a new baby on the way in the next few days so the STI was an awesome car but was very punishing for my long commute in traffic and also I got "the look" when I rolled up in it to pick up my daughter and I could see all the other moms judging me as a boy-racer ;) I wish I could have afforded to keep both and make the STI a track car
Sounds better than the stock exhaust, but for me I prefer the Pypes Violator cat back exhaust.....nice vid!
2.22 is what sells me on this car (and this flowmaster set up).
I just got a 2014 SRT. Its very quiet with the stock exhaust.
Nice video. Well done. Thank you for pausing the music track for the audio demo. Flomaster owes you money.
I did the exhaust on a borrowed lift with a friend helping and I would totally pay to have it done next time. It was a pain to line up perfectly and I ended up having to get the slip-fits welded anyway. I think it took us about an hour but that was with me stopping a few times for pics and video.
All the sounds of the flowmasters are harmoniously great, but if you look at the Rpms to mph at the WOT; the flowmasters was from below 20mph so it sounded way better. Wish they both started from a low speed to make it a little more even a comparison.
I might have to get this for my 2012 300C,sounds great!!
Very awesome video, alot better than the other ones on youtube. I will probably be going with SLP Loudmouth for my '13 Charger though, its a tad louder.
Cant wait to get me one
I know, right? I got rid of it because I thought it was time for me to get a boring grown up car and then I panicked and had a mid-mid life crisis and bought the Charger haha. I miss some parts of the STI for sure, the handling of it and it was faster I'm pretty sure. I like the audio and overall ride of the Charger better. I drive in over an hour of dead stop traffic every day, so the manual was kicking my a vs the auto. I wish I could have afforded to keep both!
Son of Flowmaster Flynn for the win.
That sounded so damn good. Whats next? Bump Stick?
Going to trade in my 2013 avenger for this in 6months made a huge mistake this is way better
excellent sound
Do you still have the car?! Hows the exhaust setup holding out if ya do?
Thanks, great video!
Best comparison video good job
Great intro with the score! Fits this video to a T, Right On the Numbers! see what I did there?
I wish dude! If I could have afforded to keep it as a track car I would have. I wasn't planning on modding this one and I waited 500 miles but it's going downhill from here! Hope you still follow even though I'm domesticated now
I have flowmasters on my charger rt sound awesome love it
yeah baby!
Nice video effects. Truly accented the power of the r/t. The panning motion could have been slowed down just a tad though :-)
Love the sound.
Dope sound, almost like old school muscle cars, i like it :)
Sounds nice! i just got the 2013 R&T and am looking for an exhaust that isnt too loud and will only emit sounds during Wot. This seems to be doing that..correct? This is a Cat back system without test pipes?
Awesome video. So well-done (love the Tron music too).
In the middle of deciding on an exhaust for my 2013 Charger RT. Debating whether the American Thunder or the Force II is where I should go. Does the Force II rumble at idle or just on startup/when cold? Only reason I'd not choose the American Thunder I think is if the drone is really bad.
The Force II sounds great in your video but I'm still torn. Have you heard the AT in person by any chance? I live in MA and nobody does anything fun to cars around here (let alone owns a v8 Charger) so I haven't heard either of these in person.
Thanks for the video!
I felt like I was in the Tron arena on the Light bikes in the beginning, lol!
not to mention you have an AWESOME AWD car!
I live in the snow and am super tired of my fwd GTi. Wanted a Golf R but it's 36K for that....
Do you really like it more than your Sti? 4WD wise if you have compared them that way....
Excellent Vid Man! I have an '07 SRT8 that I'm upgrading to a '12 and I'm looking at the Exhaust alternatives.
That was bad ass. Just bad ass. That is all.
You buy a new car like every year lol I'm more of an sti guy but I like the diversity!
Awesome video.
I can answer this because I have a 2011 Charger R/T AWD with the same system. Flowmaster Force II Exhaust system, P/N 817502. This kit has Super 44 mufflers and resonators.
hey aetherfury, sweet car, i have the 2013 awd rt as well. i really like the sound of your exhaust and i was just wondering what your thoughts were when it goes into 4 cylinder mode. sound wise is it terrible or just quiet?
no prob- make sure in vegas to do "file"->"properties" and set the template the way you want the final render. In my case it's 1080-24p and I turn off deinterlace. Then when doing the render use sony MXF format HD EX 1920x1080-24p. I used to use the blu-ray format 1080-24p and then do the AC3 audio separate and then use tsmuxer to combine, but I don't have time for that now.
how much did it cost you?
Sounds amazing I'm thinking of doing that to 2015 sxt Dodge Charger
Great video. . Thanks for sharing!
Raced a stock R/T today didn't beat him but was up with him....
I dont know if you have done a proper cold air intake but I installed headers, no cats and custom Flowmaster exhaust on a 06 Charger R/T and it was great, I then installed a Fujita true cold air (the filter was in the lower bumper) and it was night and day performance, the combination woke the car up.
I love it !
with a muffler delete (replacing muffler with a pipe) a got a much better sound.
I only removed the two mufflers that are located in the middle of the car and I left the other two. Sounds like a lion roar.
Save your money guys!
You're right, but that muffler in the middle of your car is called a catalytic converter. If you live in a state that does emissions the flowmasters are your best option.
Scray1 No, the Chargers and Challengers have a muffler in the middle of the car, and 2 more at the back. The catalytic converters on these cars are much closer to the exhaust manifold.
Well that's what I said. Cats first, mufflers in the back. Exhaust manifolds, cats, mufflers in that order.
Scray1 No... Not on these cars. Exhaust manifolds, cats, mid-car muffler, rear mufflers (resonators). In THAT order.
exactly. Scray1 has no fuckin clue what he's talking about. Numbnuts
Great footage! I definitely agree with you on the handling when it comes to the Charger... my previous car was an E46 M3 and doesn't compare at all in the handling department.
But when it comes to everyday driving/cruising (which realistically, most of us spend 90% of our time on) its amazing. Love all the amenities and comfort of the ride. Everything seems to be laid out just right, at least for me.
Looking forward to seeing more videos, they're solid!
Love it!! how much does it cost though? does it void warranty? I just got my charger almost a week ago
sounds good
sounds amazing
Nice video!
Canon 7D, the driving footage is a Canon Vixia HF20 (little camcorder attached to a jobypod) and edited with Sony Vegas
Hi Aetherfury, on the dodge charger did you keep the exhaust end tips or are they new as they seem same as the factory, cheers
Nice tone on the Flowmaster just wish it was quieter.
Lol, yeah probably not the best way to present your case. However a calm powerpoint would help convince her. I just told my wife, "Look, if you let me get this, you can spend an equal amount of money on whatever you want." Worked for me. I just hope to God it wont be tickets to an Opera or something.
Damn Damn Damn mann that sound hella good I need this on my car
Sounds amazing, how much did this cost? and would it be possible to get this on a 06 Charger?
