- Cage Announcer and MMA radio host Patrick Stanger "Voice of the Cage" interviews 8th degree BJJ blackbelt and 2nd son of legendary Hélio Gracie, Master Relson Gracie about his life in and out of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
In 2011, Mestre Relson Gracie opened his own Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Rio de Janeiro after years living in Hawaii. Im very proud to be part of theTeam. Jiu-Jitsu from the source!!!

Oss........when i first found jiu-jitsu, i bought the gracie "in action" tapes and there is a fight with relson vs a karate guy on wooden floors, and all the jiu-jitsu guys were jus taking them down and choking them and then relson came out and did the slickest fastest armlock i've ever seen... ever since i have watched every relson intsructional, bought his books, and am a huge fan...congrats to you that you get to study under him..you r lucky my friend!!
relson was undefeated national JJ champion for 22 fucking years. nobody has ever come close to that since and i doubt anyone ever will. respect.
He wears his GI even in a interview.
One time we were hanging out and I said. "Relson, let's go to the store." Relson replied, let me get dressed." Sure." Relson got out of his room, I turned around and saw him in his gi.
I met Gracie at a seminar last week :)

He said he like to wear the gi because it's comfortable. I agree. I just wish the pants had pockets, I'd wear mine everywhere

Hell yes. I'm thinking of sewing my own pockets on & have separate kimonos for rolling & casual wear!

Right! Too funny! Relson was on his way to a seminar after the interview. He does talk about how comfortable Gi's are to him in the interview.
