I am rebuilding a 1967 Pontiac Firebird, it's a FIRST GEN F Body just like the Chevy Camaro, and today we are installing all new inner and outer tie rods, along with a new idler arm, and new pitman arm. In addition, a new power steering box as well to complete the steering system on this Pontiac Firebird - Chevy Camaro.

So sugest that with the steering box centered that prior to connecting the rag joint bolts that you also center the steering wheel.

Very informative, I have an old Plymouth I'm replacing everything but the center link. Since my Pitman is back ordered I was curious if I should put tie rods on before the Pitman. Now I know to wait for the Pitman to arrive to make life easier. Excellent video!

Hey keep up the good work I love following this build I myself looking at a 69 Firebird in this area that some people would say is a basket-case yes it needs some floor work yes it needs everything including glass but it's their it's 95% complete and the original drivetrain in it but that's going to need work and I should be able to pick it up for a good price

When you take the old ones out ,if you don't move the spindles the new one should fit right in .That is if it was pretty close to start with. Of course you can only get it close so you don't have to tighten the hell out of it and put the cotter pins in. The alignment shop can do that. Just don't leave it so loose you crash on the way there !

Thanks great advice Brian, since I pulled my entire front end apart, I had to go this route. Again, great advice for others who might just need to replace and not doing a full rebuild.
