True Colors was nevermind my favorite episode because of it's shocking conclusion, I love it because it actually feels like a proper conclusion to everything the past two seasons have set up; it's hard to find an episode before this that this one doesn't reference, in some way.
You could make the most tense and extravagant finale in the world, but it doesn't mean anything if you don't care about the characters; and that's where Amphibia shines.

True colors is great and my favorite scenes was the sword rematch with anne and sasha plus marcy getting the girls in amphibia because she didn't want to move plus marcy getting stabbed broke my heart so this was the most incredible season 2 amphibia finale! ❤🐸👍😍
True colors definitely changed a lot in Amphibia, perhaps even being the biggest change in the series. It changed the tone and stakes of the series. It negatively changed the relationship of the calamity trio with each other. It changed how the audience views Marcy as a character, for better or worse, while also changing Marcy's own friendship with Andrias, which may have been genuine. It even led to Marcy's role being changed into becoming the host body for the core, the true villain of Amphibia, essentially changing Marcy into the villain. Not to mention that Polly physically changed. True Colors was definitely an episode that embodies Amphibia's main theme of change.

True colors is what makes me truly love and started watching this show since this episode released. Cant be thankful enough for what this episode change me to love this show!
One of the best season finale of all time. Everyone begins to unfold their cards and it ends with a “WTF WAS THAT?”
Reunion was the first episode I saw and I watched the whole first season in a couple of days. But then I kinda forgot about the show until I randomly stumbled on a season 2 episode. And watched the whole season again in a few days. Seeing True Colors then was what made me confident to tell my friends about it. It made the shame from loving a kid show go away.
I only started becoming a massive Amphibia fan around April 2022, literally watching True Colors the day after I started it as I binged through it all up until where it had released since it wasn’t completely done yet. This was my absolute favorite episode and still is to this day, with All In and The Hardest Thing being quite close. I’m quite glad this is such a popular episode and definitely needs to be talked about more along with the whole show in general.
Am I the only one who understands why Marcy did what she did and still feels sympathy for her
True Colors is still my favorite TV episode I have ever watched and remember. My memory of watching it with my little brother is pretty vague, but still meaningful and made me want to see more, which was pretty rare before that. This episode helped me to changed my perspective about Amphibia, and through it cartoons and even storytelling in generall.
I do have some issues with Amphibia, specifically season 3, and the show isn't my favorite today, but this episode still means a lot to me.
To me, the biggest proof this show is fantastic, is how you can know EVERYTHING THAT WILL HAPPEN, and still be in the edge of your seat, crying after a sad moment, like you are watching for the first time

I recently finished watching Amphibia. And it's interesting to hear what happened when True Colors was premeired. And honestly the episode changed my view of the show and its when i really fell in love woth Amphibia. And i'm thabkful for that because ever since i watched the series finale, the show has been changing my life in so many ways 😊
Oh my Disney! How did Amphibia's writers pull it off so well? How did they fool us twice by making us 😭 when Andrias killed Marcy in True Colors, and Anne sacrificed her life to save Amphibia in The Hardest Thing, and then save Marcy's life in Olivia and Yunan and Anne's life in The Hardest Thing without cheapening the stakes of True Colors and The Hardest Thing up to those points where Marcy and Anne died? Why were we 😃to see them alive again, instead of 😠that their deaths and sacrifices were ruined or 😱that Marcy Wu and Anne Boonchuy are now re-animated corpses (U C what I did there? "Re-animated?") who look and act not like a zombie, but the same way as they once did before they were dead?
True Colors was the first episode that actually made me really like Amphibia. It was the exact thing I had been missing for almost every single episode leading up to it, actual story development. It's honestly incredible how different Amphibia would've been if you just took out the season finales and specifically True Colors.
I love true colors so much, even watching it now I get a pit in my stomach when I know the moment is close, it’s so good.
True Colors was a great way for Matt Braly to remake Dipper and Mabel versus the Future and Weirdmageddon Part 2: Escape From Reality in a way to have Mabel/Reggie/Marcy actually face what she did wrong to start the problem that ruined the 13th birthday of Dipper/Todd/Anne that he/she was going to celebrate with his/her family and Wendy/Esther/Sasha.

Season 3 has some of the best writing in the whole series, not to mention it might just be the most plot focused.
@@sth5697 Cough Cough Sprivy. Cough Cough Spider Sprig, mall episode, the Thai episode until at the end of the episode, nothing against it but it’s wasting time, the Domino episode. And serveral tweaks to where the story doesn’t feel rushed at the end, looking at you Mother Olms.
I honestly started becoming a huge Amphibia fan in 2020 because season 1 got my attention ok well also in 2019 with the last 10 episodes & Reunion the show really help me get through the pandemic along side The Loud House & Big City Greens.
I understand why the delayed True Color aside it being leaked.

The spoiler that Marcy is going to die really made me watch the show with another point of view and it destroyed the impact that true colors could have had.
What also destroyed the impact was the trigger warning in the beginning and the trailer at the end where you could see marcy being still alive in season 3. I really wish they would have made the impact harder. But well Disney is a shit compamy. Here in Germany you can still by this day only watch season 1 at Disney+ in german. Even though all Episodes were already translated and aired in TV on DisneyChanel.

Dang, 2 years ago today it went down, way to fast for me! Still so Amphibas season 2 finale was leaked and Owl houses SECOND episode of season 3 was leaked, what next Ghost and Molly McGee’s season 2 finales leaked? The owl house 1 sucked though, DAYS before the premiere of For the Future I SAW LUZ’S Palisman.

@@captainsprinkles6557 The problem is that it was even implied in the first place. Why set it up, if it wasn’t going to work from the beginning. That just feels pointless. It feels like a gotcha moment. Only to roll it back two episodes later.
Okay sure this Disney Frog Show has some Dramatic moments. But so did it’s 2016 Action Frog show Predecessor Kulipari. They both have walking talking Frogs & some of the same voice talents like… Kevin Michael Richardson & most importantly… Keith David. Kevin Michael Richardson voiced as some Frog Characters from both Kulipari & Amphibia. Keith David voiced as a ruthless Scorpion Overlord Marmo from Kulipari then he voiced as King Andrias from Amphibia.

Not gonna lie, I don't remember the moment when i watched true colors. I do remember that I watched a bit if the leak, the first minute or so, but I mean I wasn't gonna watch it in whatever that language was. It was kinda annoying that season 3 didn't really acknowledge the previous events that much, but they actually did, you just needed to look a bit deeper, and read marcy's journal lol.

I wanted to get into Amphibia, because I like Graviy falls and The owl house, but I just couldn’t for a while. The main character is just such a stereotypical teenage girl in the start. She felt annoying and like she was supposed to be the big sister of someone. But after having seen clips of the lore and then the final episode, I went and watched it all. The first maybe 20 episodes was rough, but it got better

I fucking hate True Colors. It felt so rushed with Sasha immediately acting out of character and disregarded all of the development she’s had throughout the entire season. Then Anne is somehow capable of fighting Sasha and winning even though Anne’s skills with a sword are far outclassed by Sasha’s who’s been training practically nonstop. The Toad Army conflict is wrapped up way too quickly. Next you have Andrias who apparently had brain rot and forgot he could’ve just sent away the biggest threats to his plan but nope, we have the reveal that Marcy did a bad with stranding her best friends in another world on purpose with the admittedly good line of “Look at Sprig, I gave you this”. Frobo just kinda dies and with absolutely no time in between because fuck pacing, Polly has legs.
Ok before I go on, I just have to wonder if we just didn’t have Polly period and a few of her traits were just implemented into Sprig, wonder how that would go, probably would make Sprig more interesting as there would be just that much more focus put onto him.
Anyways, Sprig getting dropped kinda makes no sense when he’s proven to be a fast thinker in a fight and he could’ve easily saved himself but shitty plot’s gotta plot and Anne does the thing that gives people brain rot and instead of say trying to save Sprig herself with her new powers, we just have her lash out with the goofiest line to come out of her. But of course, that never matters as Marcy tries to make up for her mistakes by saving Sprig herself, also if it’s that easy for Marcy to escape with Jo Sparrow in order to save Sprig, wtf is stopping them aside from the box.
Ah and my (least) favorite part. The shock value stab that turned Marcy from an extremely interesting character to a mere plot device. You would think that moment would ripple throughout all of Season 3 and the ending, but nope. It’s brushed under the rug like it never fucking happened. And somehow everyone got so much brain rot from this that I can hardly stand most of you fucking clowns for even attempting to defend this moment.
I took the time to read all this and the only thing I have to say about it is that maybe you should just learn to not let these things affect you that much and instead just enjoy it, even if some of the stuff you said is true it doesn't matter to most people who watch the show and we still enjoyed the episode

I’m sorry that I don’t like it when the plot bends over backwards so the main characters can win, otherwise known as *Bad Writing* and I’m sorry that I don’t suffer from perpetual brain rot to the point where I would ever enjoy this low mid tier ass garbage of a show with its relatively meh characters.
Hot take here, I don’t get Marcy aside from being the butt of various stairs jokes. There’s being a klutz/walking disaster and then there’s Marcy because this shit gets old extremely fast.
Idgaf about the Planters(Hop Pop withstanding until Season 3 made him brain dead) even though they’re the supposed found family that make help make Anne a better person and yet nobody gives a singular fuck about them because -calamity trio- Valley Girls who default to K-Pop(WHYYYYYYYYYYY).
Here’s some Homework, go to Amphibia’s Reddit and see how many art pieces feature the planters compared to art pieces that feature Sasha and or Marcy. Reminder that Sasha and Marcy are basically secondary characters they introduced way too late compared to The Planters. Come back and tell me how much you find of the Planters.

A Great Parallel between True Colors and Connor's Wedding, because they're both considered as BEST EPISODE OF ALL TIME! A Great Consequences and Mind Blown for Me! According to the IMDB Succession's Connor's Wedding rate is at 9.9 while Amphibia's True Colors rate is at 9.8 which is considered With Highest Honors! Wow! And I didn't see that coming and a pleasant surprise for me to them! Well Done for them and A Perfect and Masterpiece Episode that I ever watch! 🤯😲🥺👍🏻🥲
