"Lago Vista is a city in Travis County, Texas, United States, about 20 miles and 45 minutes from Austin. Its name means "Lake View" in Spanish.

Nothing wrong with Cypress. My sis lives there but I would say austin! It really depends on what you want the most though.
You can view the oasis from the water, but there is currently no lake access to this establishment. It is also about 20 miles from lago vista by water and further by land.
did not mention the swimming pools,parks, club house,camping area, waterfront parks,,hiking trails,,,im sure i left some off,,,marina,,
This place sounds perfect
It’s crazy how prices have got really expensive I bought 10 lots as an investment 4 years ago I saw potential in this little town.
Have you been to Oasis? It is high up on a cliff. There is no boating access. Traffic in and out of Lago is insane. There’s one way in and out on 1431 and it gets shut down frequently from accidents. So it makes commuting quite a pain.

I'm looking to buy a cheap land and build a small house. Although the roads are half developed. If I buy the land and build the house, will LagoVista improve the road or they they wait until more houses are built?

It takes 30 min to get out of lago now. All these new out of staters get here and insist adding traffic lights. Also. I think nobody here can do the speed limit

We're relocating to Lago Vista from San Jose CA next month. We looked at Leander, Cedar Park, Round Rock, Brushy Creek, but Lago looks perfect for us. We go shopping once a month at Costco. No need to live near any of that crap.

Too many people and too much traffic for me.
Have you been to Lago Vista lately? There is no hunting. We do have hicks with trucks flying Confederate flags along with other flags. While we have lots of retirees, there are more families moving in all the time. It is still mostly conservative but with growth the town is getting more diverse.
Hi Sallie! Yes, I have. The people I’ve talked with about hunting could simply be incorrect, and for that I could be wrong in relaying it. Just trying to provide as much information as possible! And yes, glad to hear more families are moving in, as mentioned. Things are certainly changing there. The statistical data will soon reflect that!
There ARE hunting leases in the area.
Lago Vista was NEVER conservative until around 2018. Around the area are white supremacists tho, like alot.
Hi Sallie! I live in Lago and my husband hunts😂 and is probably one of those”hicks” as well. Lago is great, we love living here and the small town feel it has.
if you live around austin the beach at rockport tx is the best dont go to corpus Christi
