    Both areas are very nice areas. I like the rolling hill country of Dripping Springs over the lake life.

    I just bought a house in WellsBranch that backs up to the green space at Katherine Fletcher park for $383,500. It needs some work, we spend $6900 replacing the floors, getting rid of popcorn ceilings, and removing all wallpaper/ retexturing the walls, and painting everything.
    next year tackling the kitchen then bathrooms!

    I bought in Rim Rock in Driftwood, the section zoned to DSISD. Best decision of my life.

      Rim Rock is great. The see through fence is my only turnoff.

    Lake Travis ISD has a very strong Conservative families PAC which seems to keep progressive ideologies in check. Not trying to get political, just stating facts. Dripping ISD has a couple of liberal folks on their board that have been issues for conservatives. Lakeway is difficult to find a large flat yard. Retail and restaurants are more plentiful in Lakeway. Also closer to WF, Target, Galleria. Dripping is not just more quiet, it is a much slower pace especially the further west off 290 you go. It’s actually surprising how night and day the two cities are considering they are right next to each other.

      @JeremyAKnight  Před 11 měsíci

      I wouldn’t say Dripping has progressives on the school board. Maybe 1 out of the 8. Although I could be wrong.

      Lakeway oozes money. They try and control how schools run etc. My brother built homes as a carpenter in the middle 70's I'd live in DS before Lakeway.

    Love living in Lakeway with all the hills and nature. We are central Lakeway off 620, near HEB, so everything feels convenient. My husband would love to live in Dripping Springs. We might settle in Bee Cave off Hamilton Pool next year due to how much we do there. And I enjoy living close to Target 😅

    Lakeway is a pretty short drive from Drip. My family and I drive up to Bee Cave for most of our shopping needs. It’s a beautiful, consistent 15-20 min drive. For some reason, I always feel exhausted by the time we reach the hills near Lake Travis. Maybe it’s just closer to the sun, making me feel fatigue. I can’t imagine living there during the harsh summer.

    Great video Jeremy, everything you've covered is absolutely on point with my experiences touring both these areas 💯
    One thing I would like to know more about is long term water availability. Almost every community we toured had those "Drought Stage" signs, which concerned us a bit. I don't know if drought warning has always been the case around summer historically for these areas. There's also fair amount of new construction which perhaps will add pressure on existing water sources.

      Pretty much every summer we have restrictions. This year has been worse than most. Which means we’ll have a ton of rain in October
