In 2024 this is so interesting to listen to, with hindsight. As Kristin has continued to create music in all 3 of her 'guises' since 2015, I would love to hear her talk about how the songs are now composed and her relationship to them. A brilliant maverick artist.
I'm so glad that she hasn't stopped doing music and kept on releasing music with her various projects. The quality and intensity of her music is in par with way more recognised artists. But maybe that way that unique blend of madness and melody stays so authentic and cathartic
I've always been a lazy fan of great music, rarely get motivated to go watch live shows but when Kristin came touring the UK with her band or solo with Vic Chesnutt i got in my car, unique voice and great to see this interview...RIP Vic.
it's heartbreaking to imagine never hearing new music from her, specially cause to my ears (and to my huuuge surprise) purgatory paradise was the best muses album yet. i will say though, if she does stop I think shed do great on the radio, she's got a great speaking voice . I had tickets to the throwing muses/Tanya Donnelly London 2014 show and missed it due to sickness at the time. I've never regretted missing a show so much as I regret that one. thanks for the interview and upload.
The Muses played in Norwich, at The Waterfront, a couple of years back, and I did not go, because I always preferred the original line up, and I thought it would upset me. I regret it, now. I hope she does produce some more music. She has made the world a better, brighter, richer place with her songs, I think, and by just being herself. 👏
I've been a huge fan of Kristin's since she started out, and FINALLY I get to see her live in Cardiff in Nov '16! I can't wait! I just wish I'd have been around to see Tanya's gig here recently too. Hopefully they'll do a joint gig in the future!
