Whilst the appendix may appear, at first, to be a relatively insignificant anatomical structure, the small, blind-ended tube is responsible for a significant proportion of acute abdominal pain presentations.
Therefore it's important that medical students and junior doctors have a good understanding of the anatomy of this region. In this video we cover the key anatomy of the appendix, including the structure, function, location and neurovascular supply.
