This hauntingly beautiful piece should have been added to the movies after it's conception - simply too breathtaking to ignore! The rapturous crescendo of the choir's advent evokes goosebumps!
As a music student and now full time grown up in finance, this is still my absolute favourite game soundtrack main theme. Period. Nothing comes even close. I know John Williams’ score was used in OTP, yes I am saying that comes second. The orchestration of this is just masterful and Williams is nowhere near as inventive. The use of a piano as a sudo Celeste is pure genius, and the textural change halfway through pulling back to woodwind only accompaniment with strings melody is just sensationally good. The main theme perfectly encapsulates the feeling of flight and power, reminiscent of both Harry’s use of buckbeak in the game, as well as the Patronous charm. Incidentally the power element is further emphasised by the simply jaw dropping writing for choir, and underlines the link between heaven and earth the Patronous embodies for Harry, how he constantly takes comfort and pride in his parents being loving, caring people.
@@andrewm3063 yes? That’s what I said. John Williams’ Hedwig themes were used in the order of the Phoenix (OTP) games for PS2, PS3 and XBox. It’s my personal opinion this theme, with the Gryffindor commonroom theme from philosophers stone for PS2 a close second, blow Williams out the water.
This was my fave HP game ngl, they really nailed the Zelda format for the series and you could play as the trio. Plus it looked far more realistic than 2 to symbolise Harry and co's growth into teenagers

When the menu has so epic music that I'd rather leave it for 10 minutes before starting to play.
That’s the secret to an amazing game soundtrack. I too listen to this in the main menu before playing it’s so epic and brilliant
I played the pc version, and I would always pause the game just to listen to this.
If you did nothing on the main menu for about half a minute, a cinematic demo would play out, and it was awesome.
