I loved my 250LC, I put boyson reeds in it, big performance difference, changed fork oil from 5 to 10 weight, mine had excellent brakes, I slowly backed off the oil injection about 1/2 turn, my opinion they burned way to much oil, DG chambers really woke it up. Racing plugs were a huge improvement. Riding it around the great ocean road was something else.🇦🇺

I had the exactly the same bike, brand new in 1981( 17 years old). I fitted a belly pan and bikini fairing in matching colors. Steering damper was a must as well as adding rear set footrests. Allen keys in chrome to replace the original crank case screws. Other than that she was standard. Absolutely loved the bike and listening to yours, ticking over, brought it all back. Many Thanks.

I was born in the 90s, so a little late to experience the two stroke era, but your bike is absolutely gorgeous and has inspired me to try to afford a two stroke of my own.

Had exactly the same bike brand new in 81 what a memory. Raced it in 750 class for 3 years with success then modified it with tuned pipes, Lectron carbs and read valves and created a little monster. It never liked city driving!

She's a beaut, great job, stock is the only way to restore a bike like that. Brings back so many memories of thrashing around everywhere.

Beautiful. Had a 1982 350LC back in 1987 (black version), best bike ever. Would love to restore one but now living in the USA I don't think it's a dream that I'll ever realize.

You have a very nice manner. Super video. Ps the car lip at 11;01 is an internal circlip...it shouldn’t be used here ! You need an external circlip.

Thanks for the walk around, I would still like to re visit an LC again myself.
40 years ago I would have been on my 250 LC ,I still remember well 10 of them lined up at Bryan's Yamaha in Auckland, me a spotty 16 yr old, a fistful of cash rearing to go.
    Ps
The Mag Mopus tyres they came with were dangerous.

Had a 250cc and 350cc both in black in the early 80s. Best bike in the world. The two stroke smell mmmmmmmm. £750.00. The girls loved sitting on the back for some reason :)
Well done for restoring yours Fantastic. All the best from Norfolk.

Had the 3 striped model. It was a love hate thingy. Whenever it rained, the rpm would increase and had to use the kill switch. Both original & replacement tanks corroded & leaked fuel. Things added were plastic-like reed valves, bigger carb balance pipe & belly pan.

Careful chrome plating threaded fasteners. Some steels experience hydrogen embrittlement and will crack with time. To be sure buy a chrome fastener from a reputable supplier to be sure. I learned this at when I worked at Ford and we had a standard parts group that enforced little dress up touches some of us young design engineers would try to sneak through. Unfortunately we had at least 4 levels of well informed management that approved all designs and changes. Bummer. Love the bike. Take it in the house and make it the center piece of the living room. Smoke? I don’t see no smoke. Had one for years. 125 to 175 conversion with reed valves and stripped down of all non essentials. In the winter loaded the big knobby tires with sheet metal screws and took it on the ice. Traction was phenomenal. With a 4.00x18 on the back and a 3.25x21 on the front I could float over snow as long as I was goin over 50mph. Those were the days.

I had an '82 imported to the US from France. It had a yellow headlight and I loved it!. BTW, you have the wrong type of circlip on the shift lever. That is an inside type, you need an outside type.
