Don’t bring your girl around Kenny lol 😂
Check this out. It's great. Kenny and Lionel
czcams.com/video/vc8IN-FnRic/video.html
I knew Lionel Richie wrote it.
He also sings it when he's in concert.
Great song great reaction. You guys made it fun to watch. Kenny was my mom's favorite singer. We lost Kenny in March of 2020. RIP you left us a great musical catalog
That was so sweet, seeing you two kiss at the end of the song. Love this song.
The original Mr. Steal Your Girl LOL
Very cool of Kenny to give props to Lionel even before he started.
@Strawberry Shortcake “a-a-a-a-and…” lol
Kenny was such an epic classy guy
That is the kind of person he was....he didn't seem to be arrogant and seemed to be more of a humble person. Wish there were more like him these days....ohhh how I miss those good-ole-days when people were more appreciative of others and showed respect.
@Strawberry Shortcake the best performance of the song in my opinion.
Those 2 loved each other. Look at Kenny and Lionels live performance of that song
Every woman in the crowd believed Kenny was singing to them
I can testify to that! He was amazing in concert; came across as such a gentleman and humble. RIP Kenny Rogers. You were one of a kind. 💜
Kenny was a true silver fox. That perfect hair and beard, on top of that voice! Oh, my. R.I.P to one of the GOATS. Lionel Richie told the story on an episode of American Idol about how he was writing this song for Kenny, but was calling it Baby. Then, he met up with Kenny at an event and he said to Lionel, "Let me introduce you to my lady." Boom. The rest is musical history. Loved watching you enjoy the song and cuddle up at the end. It really is a beautiful love song. Played at lots of weddings when it came out, I'm sure. Cheers!
You guys have me grinning! At the end when you two shared that kissed was the absolute sweetest!
❤️
@@HalfAndJai ❤️❤️
Agreed♥️
Me to
So precious- you guys make me happy
Yes, women of all ages over the years just swoon over this song - smile and blush and sometimes wipe away the tears. This came out in the mid-80s and we never get tired of hearing it.
I'm a 49 year old man, and I don't get tired of it. 🥰 Why did that sound like confession. 😂 But great 🎵
Alexa they also slide off leather sofas
Sept 1980 it came out
We desire to be loved like that by our man❤
Kenny was a GOAT. Beautiful voice. Great reaction. ❤️
Kenny Rogers has a voice that is charged with emotion. “Through the Years” makes me cry every time. But he also has some of the best duets of all time. And I say that as someone who isn’t a country music fan. His music was white hot on Top 40 pop charts for years in the early 80’s. Not to mention all the movies he was in.
RIP Kenny. Always gives me chills when I hear this song.
My dad looked so much like Kenny, when he’d grow a beard, people would stop him in the streets, lol. He also had a beautiful tenor voice, I always told him he could have been a rock star. He was a small town southern Christian man, he used his voice to praise the Lord, can’t find fault in that. He walked the walk, helped whenever he could, and I’m so blessed to have had a daddy like that.
I just love you guys!!! I've heard this song hundreds of times & I still get goosebumps everytime I hear it!! ❤ Kenny Rogers!!!
This song is generational and the generations don't know what they're missing. Look at all the female reactions to this song. Almost EVERY SINGLE ONE ends with tears. That's the way our women should feel when listening to a song, not wanting to have a thicker ass to help land some scumbag. We need more modern troubadour's singing this stuff.
I miss those days. So romantic and real love. You are so right what you said.
I don't remember what show. But Kenny invited Lionel up on stage. And sang it together ❤
I believe it was called Lionel Richie and friends. Sometime in 2012. Lionel did a whole country collaboration album with his songs called Tuskegee.
They sang a lot together and both took credit for the song "Lady" two different versions, but both AWESOME! Lionel wrote the song in the toilet. Best of friends.
they was on stage together at one of the awards show.. Not sure which one! Lionel kissed him
@@randallwilson5582 Was a Lionel Richie night. A tribute to his music.
I love the interaction of you two, the looks yall give eachother and also the kiss at the end. Stay strong and love life and each other. Much respect and love to yall
❤️
That kiss brought tears to my eyes. It was so beautiful.
Thanks for the love, now I feel loved
i totally agree, the love that you show each other is so amazing to see :) Love your reactions!!
That's a real panty dropper right there fellas am I right so many years later still melting women's hearts RIP Kenny you were the man .
This was THE slow dance song back when people still danced in pairs😄. As soon as this song came on and the lights went down low, bodies united💗 PS: Guys would make sure they were dancing with someone they wanted to hook up with before this song would (always) come on. 😉🤙🏼
Does anyone write love songs like this anymore? This was played at so many weddings after he sang this song. He was called the Silver Fox for a reason.
So many different songs and people reacting to them, but seeing a woman react to this song never gets old. Every boyfriend, husband, or prospective date ought to watch this.
Loved your reaction ❤ my husband of 34 years always sings this to me when we do karaoke. And also at home he plays the guitar and sings it to me. Such a loving song 🎵 ❤ 🥰😍💜 im a blessed Lady 💯
It was a sad day when we lost Kenny Rogers, but he's definitely enjoying people still hearing his music.
RIP Kenny Rogers Aug 21, 1938 - Mar 20, 2020 (age 81)
Coward of the County and Ruby are AMAZING Kenny Rogers Classics that you should react to
Listened to Kenny Rogers for 40 years. RIP Kenny. This was and always has been my favorite song in the whole world.
In a 2012 Lionel Richie tribute (where Lionel & Kenny beautifully sing Lady together), Kenny begins with the back story. He & Lionel didn’t know each other, when Kenny called Lionel, to write a song for his upcoming album. When they met for the 1st time, in Kenny’s hotel room in Vegas, Lionel had a bit of a song (just 1 word, “Lady” & the opening bars of melody), which had been rejected by the Commadores. 6 months later, in the studio, Kenny recorded the 1st verse, asked where the 2nd verse was, & found out that Lionel was in the toilet, writing the rest of the song. In a later interview, Lionel adds to the story, making it even funnier. He said, the 1 word he had was actually “Baby”, but when they met, Kenny kept going on & on about his wife, repeatedly calling her “a Lady”, so when Kenny asked the name of the song, Lionel blurted out “Lady.”

A must watch and react!
@@KFarese59 Well, apparently you know better than Kenny, because HE said he called Lionel. czcams.com/video/vc8IN-FnRic/video.html
@@wnsafford1854 he may have called him at one point but he did not call Lionel to request him to write a song for him as people are stating. Again , just Google Kenny Rogers story behind the song Lady and then Google Lionel Richie's story behind the song Lady and you'll get the truth.
@@KFarese59 I do not need to Google it. Perhaps you should try the link I provided. 40 seconds in, Kenny states; “I called him from the Rivera here, and I said, Lionel, I’d love for you to come over and write a song for me.”
I still get chills listening to this all these years later!
Absolutely one of my FAVORITE songs.... the lyrics that Lionel wrote are beautiful and Kenny sang it to perfection. This kind of music is the kind that gives you goose- bumps with such awesome pure talent.
She Believes In Me by Kenny Rogers is FANTASTIC!!! I cried for days when he passed away!!!
We don't have artist like this in todays world. This was 1980 and he was known as the silver fox to the ladies. He passed away in February, one of the good guys.
As a young girl this song always held me entranced. It’s even more potent now as an adult. 😊
Coward of the Country is one of my favorite Kenny Rogers song.
He was amazing in concert. So glad my fiancé and I went to his concert. Happily married for almost 39 years. ❤️
Always loved this song! So Beautiful! Kenny had a lot of great love songs (She Believes In Me, Through The Years, You Decorated My Life) and if you haven`t seen his duet with Dolly(Islands In The Stream) it`s a must! Keep On Rockin'
R.I.P MR. KENNY ROGERS A TRUE LEGEND
you should check out Lionel Richie and Kenny Rogers sing lady together
their friendship was timeless
Growing up with songs like this is why I’ve got problems 😂
Songs like Lady and Through the Years set the bar really high for romantic expectations. His voice made women fall hard… even as a kid, the emotions were palpable
Kenny Rogers always stated that Lionel was the one who talked him into singing ballads. He became the king of the country ballads
I saw Kenny at dollywood back in the 80s. The women went nuts when he played this song. I was only 12 and didn't get it. Years later I understood. He was the man.
Gonna buy my wife flowers tomorrow, she deserves flowers every damn day! She's my Lady.
Kenny had all us women in love with him …. From my Nanny to us teenagers ….. Lionel and Kenny sang this together at a CMT Awards show …. Kenny’s songs are amazing
Love love love the hug and kiss perfect end to this song. Did the job, you and your lady have each other to hold on to and to share "good vibes" with me. I felt the "vibes" and they were so good. Thank you for sharing your reaction to the "Silver Fox"
This song makes me sad. My dad used it when he made a memorial video of my mom after she passed.
Kenny will sing them drawes off.
Kenny Rogers, just walking around...cool as a cucumber...SINGING, gave me BUMPS, GOOSEBUMPS...and a big gulp in my throat..Tears, and even my nose started running and got red...HELLO? WOW!!
Kenny and Lionel were great friends. They even took vacations together
This song makes you appreciate the love of your life, your lady
Jai's laugh is absolutely infectious! And Half, you are crazy! OMG you had me cracking up.
This was played as my bride walked down the isle to the alter, in 1987
Y'all have to react to Kenny Rodgers and the First Edition singing "Just Dropped In to See What Condition My Condition Was In"!🤗🔥 This is psychedelic rock and came out in '68 before Kenny Rogers turned to country music .🤫🤯 Kenny Rogers like you never seen him before.💯😁✌❤
During his concerts...back in the 80's, which I blessed to attend 6 times. He would play a video of his then wife Marianne giving birth to their son, Christopher. I was SO BEAUTIFUL!!
And the kiss seals the deal. Love your reaction made me cry.
Let's gooo this is a great song fam. fellas hold your ladys close and dedicate this to her🎶🔥🎶
One of the greatest songs ever written and sang by a legend. I remember dancing to this song back in the day.
Lionel and Kenny were good friends as well. Watch the video where they sang it together.... legends.
It was lovely to see Half put his arm around his woman, and see her lean into him like that... the kiss was real. The song moved you two; that's a great love song. Love songs are rare these days.... people can't produce the same emotion and power behind love.. but you guys expression was beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with all of us. xo I feel privileged, now ^_^
The "Silver Fox" 👍🤣 love your genuine reaction and affection! Romantic music! We knew how to do it back in the day ☺️💕
There is a live version of Kenny and Dolly Pardon singing a duet of Islands in the Stream. The song was written by The Bee Gees. The way Kenny & Dolly sing it is fantastic.
I've been watching you two for about 6 months or so and I had to comment how infectious you two are. I can't get enough...you make me smile everyday. Thanks for you inspiration and reviews of great music. You two are so stunning!
His voice is magical.
Let’s talk about how fucking amazing this man sounds live! This sounds like a studio version. That’s how amazing he is. He has complete control of his voice I mean he would obviously, it’s Kenny Rogers. Anyway, I grew up during this time and I’ve never been a lover of country music. I mean I love everything but country, but my mom loved him, and I grew up listening to him, and he was the type of artist that crossed over to main stream pop if you well, which is an amazing thing.
Lionel wrote the song at Kenny's request. You should see the video where Kenny is doing a tribute to Lionel and tells how he got him to do the song and how he finished the second verse in the toilet. Then Lionel comes up on stage, and they both sing this song together. It was so good!
czcams.com/video/vc8IN-FnRic/video.html
Half/Jai….Lionel’s words, Kenny’s voice singing it the best way possible. The nuance, note extension, grit ‘n growl….C’mon man….this is a class-ic. Period! ….and he was a crossover type dude too, lotsa great stuff from this class country act!
I remember hearing that on the radio when I was little. He was a great singer :)
I love a lot of hard core metal and 80's top 40 but Kenny Rodgers will always have a place on my Playlist :)
I was not surprised when I was made aware of Lionel being the writer of this song, it was the same year I graduated from high school. (1980) His talents are unsurpassed! My mom bought Kenny Roger's Greatest Hits album and this was just one of the many classics!
Please you can definitely identify Lionel Ritchie's writing expertise. And this is definitely one of his BEST pieces he ever penned. I raise a glass to you, Mr. Lionel Ritchie for the fine songwriting, and Mr. Kenny Rogers for the fine vocal performance
REST IN PEACE KENNY...WE MISS YOU
Brother you put your hand on your lady's shoulder at just the right time, good job. A moment in time.
I remember he came to Richmond, Va in the 80s for a show. Ended up doing three because of the demand to see him. Beautiful voice!
How can you not love a man with this much sincerity. Most women would give up every man they knew fotr this kind of love and devotion.
Aww I was waiting to see which one would feel the song first...I had a feeling it would be Jai, you too are so loving towards each other with a good sense of humour❤❤❤
Rest in peace Kenny Rogers you will be greatly missed
I'm a metal head and I've listened to kenny rogers when I was young and still do. He's got a set of pipes on him.
RIP Kenny. Absolute legend
I absolutely loved Jai reaction....she was sbowing what all us ladies were feeling!! 😂 he was meant to do this song RIP Kenny Rogers
This is one of my favorite reactions that you two have done. Kenny was the man, God Rest His Soul. So nice to see 2 people so in love and having fun. Half, you never fail to make me laugh, and Jai, your laugh is infectious! Love you both!
By the way, this is what a love song is made of it has every ingredient of a love song, beautiful instruments, amazing voice, and the most romantic lyrics
She laughs so cute. The kiss is so sweet. They are a nice couple. Kenny was a legend and that Lionel wrote it makes it even more special. Absolutely gorgeous.
I believe the proper term for this song is "Its a pantymelter". Lol Lionel also released this song btw. Check that out as well. Both versions are fantastic.
Y'all are so cute@ This was my mother's favorite song. She was a die-hard fan of Lionel Richie and called him "her man." I grew up listening to Kenny Rogers and Lionel Richie, both when he was with the Commodores and when he went solo. Both these gentlemen went on to sing beautiful love ballads and they have a very great friendship and deep respect for one another. Glad this touched your hearts. Love your love for one another. 🥰😍😘🌹💞
Kenny's voice is smooth and soft like butter ❤
You two have the best reaction to a song that I have ever seen. Kenny Rogers was a great singer, song writer, R.I.P. Mr. Lionel Richie is a great singer, song writer and you two are absolutely ADORABLE. I loved watching this for the song, but most of all your reaction. Stay happy and safe always. 😊❤
When he does those low notes with his throaty sound (I can’t explain right), uh! So gets me. Like at 4:36 here.
I had the great privilege of seeing Kenny perform in person. I've been a fan for 40 yrs and still listen to Kenny. if you guys want some good music listen to him and Dolly Parton
Love this song Kenny had a lot of good songs
Yes this silver fox had all the ladies swooning to his beautiful raspy voice. He definitely had plenty of swag to go with his talent. He made movies too! “She Believes in Me” song yasssss
Kenny always took his wife with him, and he also did a special performance with Lionel singing this together you guys need to check it out. I love you guys together. I can see the love you have for each other. I have watch you guys for a long time. Wish you and your family all the best. My man and I are going on 22 years. XOXO BRANDI MODRAK.
I grew up on Kenny. Still one of the most romantic and sexiest songs of all time.
Half, that kiss to Jai was so sweet!!!💕💕💕
One of the only memories of my mom..... one of her favorite artists (her wedding music) she died a year and a half later ( I was 8 never another female role model in my life). Fortunate to see Kenny Roger's and Ronnie Milsap in concert in VA. Love you two❤️
He's a true legend and will forever be missed,RIP Kenny
I loved the kiss. That was really sweet. I could tell he was really in his feelings and the way he looked at u then rubbed ur back. Girrrrrrlllllll.....that was so sweet and so full of love. Everyone deserves that kind of true love. ❤
Yep I was 21 at the time and was totally in love with Kenny Rogers!! Love your reaction cause Sugarloo was swooning!🤣
Lionel Richie of The Commodores wrote this for Kenny Rogers and won the Country Music songwriter of the year award in 1980 making him the first R n B artist to have done so.
Watching y’all watching Kenny makes my day! Your love is so real, and having Kenny in the background is extra special.
Now you guys have to see the video of Kenny calling Lionel up onstage to sing it with him!!!!!!!!!! Amazing!!!
man i love that you sealed it with a kiss. her reaction is just like my wife.
"YOU ARE THE LOVE OF MY LIFE, YOU ARE MY LADY"
Remember this was "back in the day" with old equipment...and Kenny nails it.
You need to hear both Kenny and Lionel singing that song together and how that song was born
Grew up listening to Mr.Kenny Roger's music which is why I'm a country music fan even though I'm an Islander and suppose to like reggae and shit but nah man this guy's music always put me in a chilling, good mood...RIP to another legend, much love
That song should make every couple want to kiss.....Greatly written by LIONEL..Powerfully delivered by KENNY!! Kenny voice was original with that raspy sound!!
Love how he gave credit to the writer Lionel Ritchie. Not many singers do that outside of the credits.
Watch Lionel and Kenny perform this together. I was a little boy when this song came out and seeing how Lionel reacted when Kenny passed shows how much love they had for each other.
i am so glad yall liked kenny rodgers as much as i do...he is and always has been one of those singers that make you just stop in your tracks
