I've had the privilege to meet Timmy twice at the Port of Brisbane, once on the water, and I can tell you now he is a good bloke who is just as exited about someone else catching a fish as himself. Very approachable and doesn't act like a big shot, even though he is.

That was insane pulling that cod out of that little crack! Beautiful fish! I believe you can really damage a fish's gills by grabbing them by the gill cover mate. I'd try and avoid doing that.

I’m not sure what you mean by your fingers were up in its neck, but even touching the gills with your fingers can do damage. Imagine someone putting their hand down your throat and into your lungs? All I ask is that you consider the fish’s survival rates by being as gentle as possible.

Man what a blessing now that was a catch to remember good job. I really miss my 20s. If ide none my 40s well no in my 30s ide been in such bad shape. Then ide had more fun and been safer in my late teens and early 20s. Cause by 26 man I messed my life up. Don't no how my body keep breaking really. But I miss the walks while fishing all the spot to get to no one could drive up. But I'm blessed I can still fish 2 days week and watch CZcams vidoes of people who still can like you. Young Adam was down at Copeton dam last June/July. Hell of a nice bloke. He took Lawson Lindsay under his wing and tried to get him a big cod, but they weren't very successful, sadly. It was a pretty average trip with only a couple of fish being caught during the whole tournament,. but we had a lot of fun, and froze our butts off. -10c at one stage.
