Walruses are beautiful, fascinating creatures. So happy he's getting his clams!
Walruses are so freakin awesome!!
HBSanta they look so cute and funny cause they looks like average American people lol
Yep
sometimes I stick chopsticks in my teeth and pretend im a walrus
If you were to fall, perhaps one of those chopsticks would be driven up through your brain, rendereing you unable to make inane comments on CZcams.
andrewc2768 Through the skull? Those are pretty strong chopsticks. Tell me where I can find these.
Still green, headed north two hours ago
Do you know what a joke is?
andrewc2768 do you know what a joke is?
this walrus looks way better than the ones in zoos i've seen on some other vids on youtube. eyes blood shot, skin dry and a pale body language. whereas this walrus, this walrus is really in his right element and it's fantastic to see
Styrk Finnøy don't forget that zoos remove the tusks
Probably much more movement and stimulation in the wild. Its only natural they would look healthier
Possibly cause some of them are rescues?
@@pikppa Sources or you're lying.
Tyrone McCool
Walrus tusks are removed as a safety measure in Zoos to prevent them breaking it and infecting themselves.
There needs to be more walrus footage and less humans talking.
agree
Indeed
3 min video. 15 seconds of walrus 😑
@@Hawkinszm1 Welcome to how they have to invest many hours to get just a few seconds of video.
thanks for specifying humans talking, i thought you had enough with the walruses talking
Love Paul’s encounters with wild creatures in the ocean. I never forget when he was diving close to a sperm whale and his encounter with the leopard seal.
Walruses look mean but they are positively mild, benign creatures. Unless you are a mollusk.
am mollusk, can confirm
They actually are known to on occasion hunt other seals and birds.
Not true.
They are still wild creatures, and any wild creature can be unpredictable. Walruses deserve a lot of respect, caution, and distance.
They’ve killed people before and they skin seals idk about benign
In the last 7 years, the stars of these video are the photographers, not the wild life. Shouldn't it be the other way around?
cause national geographic started off with magazine, so those stars (animal/nature) u were mentioned are in the magazine. while in their tv channel or youtube video channel, they can show behind the scene or give credits to these awesome photographers. these videos showed it's not easy to take those kinda shots. I have no problem with that
So glad I am not alone! When I watch a documentary I want to see the wildlife not how they captured it, otherwise I would watch a documentary on filming. The worst is BBC blue planet etc where 15% of the WHOLE episode is saying LOOK HOW WE ACHIEVED THIS WE ARE SO AMAZING.
In all of those videos you can see more of how they're gonna do it and the people who are about to do it than the actual animals.
You're not wrong, but the way I see it is it takes an incredible amount of logistic preparation and talent to put a package like this together. In a way, we are acclimated to viewing wildlife photography but how these pictures are taken is largely a mystery of which these videos provide fascinating insight
I was just going to say the same thing!! We don't care, just show us the walruses
the name "Walrus" is just funny as hell for some reason. WALRUS!!
Do you need, RUBBER WALRUS PROTECTORS?
Unbelievably amazing, great job guys;)
Beautiful!
que impresionante¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
Amazing
Amazing! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Amazing!!!
Great stuff!
Sir. It was a pleasure to meet you.
I`ve been sleeping with one for the past 30 years and I don`t make a fuss.
Awesome! :)
Since studying it was a focal point. Thanks for letting me know how it looks like
National geographic photographer. What an amazing job!!
! Mad cool.
Crazyy Guy!! I love it :)
Walruses are my fav animal
Same I’m obsessed
What a beast.
Sometimes I watch the movie Tusk with lots of envy
Walruses are smart creatures, but can be dangerous. I wouldn’t mess with a fat seal with ice picks for teeth
I will be in Daneborg next week to do the same job!!
Rapporte nous de belles photos Erwan, A++++
Je vais essayer!!!
Bises

1:00 LMFAO
That seems like a fun job
Little did he know that walrus would eventually get exposed to thermal radiation and become Maguma!
bro was lost in the sauce
Walruses are my second favorite animal next to the manatee
Scientist on TV: Okay everybody, from now on... seals, sea lions, walruses, and fuck it, penguins... are ALL seals now.
How could this not be named The Walrus Was Paul?
The walruses neck makes it look like a krogan
I am the walrus, coo coo cachoo!
maybe keep the suit on? not take it on and off lol
It's not just the suit, it's the fifty pounds of gear and 45 pound belt that they have to take off in the water in order to get out of it.
MrPestus ah okay
Tony, I thought you were really smart
Also, rest in peace. You were a true hero
😝
And here I thought John was the walrus
cookookeechoo
10 second video of the Walrus in a 3 min video ✋
Fun fact: the walrus's favorite food is the potato!
I’m the 999 like. How satisfying but unsatisfying at the same time
Dude leave it alone!
Scientist on TV: Okay everybody, from now on... seals, sea lions, walruses, and fuck it, penguins... are ALL seals now.
Viewers: okay fine... yess...
Ive never seen a Wild Walrus hunt.
walrus at 2:00
Okay, my question is, why is he using a weight belt of 40 pounds? I mean, considering his approximate body weight, this is twice of a regular mass. Does it have something to do with the dry suit, or with the specific conditions of the water they are diving in?
good question. i think they like to hype up statistics on tv,
impresionante vaya trajes de buzo, de lujazo, para esas aguas, me coje el frio solo de pensarlo, muy buen video, excepcional, otra vez NG =hay que ser animal= lol
I didn’t know they could swim
Yeah show the video of it so we can see it.......
who elsed come here coz "Mr tusk" movie?
greenland???
3 minutes of video. 30 seconds of content.
Was he ever in any danger? Aren't walruses super agreeable animals?
Did he say he was in danger?
Why do they keep having to take off all the gear again before putting it straight back on?
too heavy to get up into the boat wearing it
A full grown walrus can eat up to 200 clams per day.
Vampire+Manatee=Walrus
80% egotism 20% walrus
i thought they eat cuttlefish..
i never seen wild walrus feed
why out in why no stay in..temp..
rare footage for what he say
So The Sabertooth Lion evolve into The Walrus?
I could do it in 5 minutes
too much talk for a 3 second video of a walrus
First I couldn't understand who's the brainless put dislike on such a subject. After watching this I realized, most of time they showed off themselves. Walrus got chance not more than 30 sec of this 171sec video. the director is a totally naive
This video wasn't about the walrus. It was about his experience filming the walrus. I'm sure the video he shot was used somewhere else in full with no mention of him at all.
For years I have been looking for a video of a walrus hunting or feeding. This is the first time I see it. I thought they hunted for fish. Now I know they are just manatees with tusk. :/ Darn....
Manatees are herbivores though, I get what you mean though, walruses aren't super aggressive because their prey isn't very fast at all.
Shellfish makes you selfish
Live Action {;
I am the walrus?
What's soo scary about a walrus the only seals i fear are elephant seals and leopard seals? And how deep was the walrus with the divers?
At SeaWorld in San Diego you can feed the youngsters clams from your hands, not to compare what these guys are doing but fun nonetheless.
I am interested in the hide, for a motorcycle jacket
I am the walrus coo coo cachoo. Like if you got the song reference
I clicked on this to see walruses not to hear a guy complaining about the gear he has to put on. Edit that out. Why do Americans complain so much? Oh capitalism got it.
??? I don't get 'doffing and donning the gear every 6 minutes'. Was the point of this video actually about taking film footage of a walrus? Or was it about 'one person doing so' and not being comfortable in their gear out of the water?
Haha First world problems!
They allege they eat 2-3,000 clams a day. I don;t think so. How can an animalso large eat so little food? Sam goes with elephant seals. How can such multi-ton animals survive by eating so little food?
All this video shows is people not walruses 😒
i saw a walrus once, and by walrus i mean a fat person, same thing right
benny6555
Tf? Haha
classic leftist national geographic- the first half of the video is complaining
Ralph Rutherford Let’s see you put on a dry suit every 6 minutes tough guy
I dive in Canada- Dry suits are for women and children
Was the swear word really necessary I was watching this with my 8 yr old brother
