Great video, and excellent tips. I started riding at 48, still trying to land a tailwhip at 50. It’s going to happen eventually! And a reward to myself for landing a tailwhip is going to be an S8 or S9 Prodigy Street.

I wouldn't get a prodegy, they break easily, im a 6ft tall dude and the bars gave out in about a month.

Hey Raymond how are you doing
I broke my wrist and I learned a tail whip😂
Im goofy and I can land it almost every time but I keep leaning to my left before I take off and end up hopping over the deck instead of it staying centered with my body..
Ive tried to correct this over hours and hours of practice and i can’t get away from this habit. I noticed your knees are facing forward and not to the side prior to taking off.. do I need to straighten my feet and knees completely forward? Currently I keep them at an angle so I can push off the edge with my toes but it really messes with my balance before I take off, especially if I want to try and catch the whip with my back foot

I can’t catch whips very well I mean I can but lot of the time I won’t, and to tailwhip flat for some reason the only way I can do it is landing goofy

hey im having some troubles with my front foot every time i go for a tail whip i cant get my front foot to leave the board it follows it untill it its the handles idk how to fix this if you have any sugestions could you please let me know?
It sounds like you’re using way too much of your front foot to try to flick the deck for the whip. You’ve got to use more of your back foot to flick it. I posted a video years ago showing people some tips on how to learn to tail whip. Check that out. There is one drill in there that’ll help your situation. Good luck!

How to heel faster
is it bad that I tailwhip with my front foot
No alot easier to catchwith your back foot if u whip with your front foot
I cant get a good flick also I land before thr deck lands

I have a problem. I ride goofy but whip regular so I cant catch whips. In addition, I cant do overheads because I would do have to do a downwhip if i were to add whips to a bri. Because of this my riding is really scuffed because im throwing decades, quad whips, truck drivers, 540s, and im probably gonna learn flairs and backflips and woodward this summer, but i still cant catch whips or do overheads because of the aformentioned problem. I enjoy park more than street but ive been riding for 10 years and for these reasons i cant 360 whip, whip bar and i havent bothered with overheads because i wont be able to add whips anyway. I can only double whip (the way that should be natural for goofy riders), so it would be very hard to just change the way I normalls whip.
you just gotta force yourself to learn
A fellow rider and friend of mine named Brando does the same thing. He naturally heel whips in his riding. He just thought himself how to whip both ways. Many riders can do heel whips very well because they think of the trick as a completely different trick instead of thinking of it as an opposite direction whip. That sounds like what you’re going to have to do as well. It’ll take some time, but great things always go. Good luck!
