In Australia the Toyota Aurion trumps the maxima. The best maxima here produces 185Kws using the VQ35 v6. The Aurion produces 200Kws on shit fuel, 204Kws on premium fuel. The Aurion wins on cost with similar features also. A lot of levels of spec to choose from with the Aurion. The SX6 seems to be the best value of the models. And, when buying a Toyota, they will always do a deal from my experience. So advertised prices mean nothing when looking at an Aurion. But, nice review Steve.
The 2011 Nissan Maxima is a good looking car. Interior is simple yet rich. There's a luxury feel to it. Near perfect. Too bad Nissan screwed up on the steering wheel. Overall highly recommended.
which one do you recommend this car or 2011 Honda Crosstour ?? because I'm going to buy a new car this summer and some my friends advised me to buy honda crosstour ( sorry for my bad English)
As much as I prefer awd vs fwd, and like this Maxima a lot, I don't think it will get an awd drivetrain. Here is my logic: with the interior that resembles an Infiniti, 290hp, and awd.. Who is going to buy an G25/35?
i'm wanting this car n i'm a girl... everyone tells me u cant handle it i test drove it n yeah it was a bit faster than what i'm used to ,, but i think its just something u'll get used to after driving it for a while
@TheNewMrCool Cool. A lot fo people like to compare the Maxima to the Avalon, which I really don't get. I need to get into the new 300 and Charger before making a comparison. The Maxima is kind of in a field of its own, being front-drive, kind of big and sporty in that 30k-40k range. In order to get into a M37 you'd have to spend quite a bit more. Hopefully I'll get the Chrysler product this spring.
@bawain the wheels on the '12's are pretty ugly looking. But they're getting some neat tail lights, everything else is.pretty much the same. Save yourself some money and get the '11
also I have a question shall I but the 2011 one, or shall I wait till 2012? I heard nothing much will change, but the prices might go up because of Japan's crisis?
Like the look of the overall car, however, the price and its front-wheel drive feature just does not warrant a purchase.....would rather by a G35, 3-series or IS instead.
The Maxima is nice and all....but I still see one big flaw with it...it's way too similar to the Altima....It's hard to justify the extra money going for the Maxima, when you can the same goodies in the Altima, and shares the same platform, engine, and transmission.. I was so ready to like the Maxima if it was based on the G35/G37...it would have been such a nicer alternative, and headed towards a proper "4DSC"...but now, I'd rather get the Altima, and save the extra bucks on fuel...
@TheGusto69 you guys(AUS) get all the real Japanese cars with the power and motor intended for the car actually in it...in the states they're more worried about sales being hurt from higher automobile insurance or passing emissions...or passing our ridiculous FMVSS...
have to say, excellent design. especially the cool and sharp razor-like headlights. the price is quite expensive but the interior is luxurious. this car use to be very similar to the Nissan Altima, but it isn't now! it's got plenty of horsepower! in many ways, this car is a sports car, but it has many in common with city cars, too! P.S. just wondering if this car has internet connection or TV on the dashboard?
19-26 mpg on prem fuel. the other cars in its class are better. the Avalon give you 19-29 on regular, its bigger, smoother, but yes less sporty. and the Genesis is both but i think gas millage is better as well. the Maxima looks ok
Nissan Maxima's don't hold up like they used to. When u buy one today, you're actually buying cost-cutting, lower quality car influenced by REAULT ( the French automaker know for having THE WORSE reliability record in the industry). Nissans are designed to fall apart in a calculated fashion so as to appear more reliable than they actually are. For example the murano and pathfinder started out fairly reliable and then quickly deteriorated substantially. The once reliable vq now suffers from t
TruAgape123 Its Renault not Reault and everything you just said is wrong ..ive owned my maxima since 2009 which has same body style as this one and same power train and for almost 10 years now i never had a problem with it even tho i drive it like i stole it

They just transferred lot of interior parts from 2007 + G Sedan to Maxima looks nice though..
Lmao. I cant belive he said camry. Thats like brigin a knife to a gun fight
I still hate your review on the 05 Maxima. I love the new Maxima's!

Very nice interior, clean lines with not too much going on
which one do you recommend this car or 2011 Honda Crosstour ?? because I'm going to buy a new car this summer and some my friends advised me to buy honda crosstour ( sorry for my bad English)
@stevehammes The new Taurus is similar to the Maxima.
How many people do you have to help filming these? Great review once again.

Do y’all use Premium gas for this car? Ok it’s recommended but is it a big difference as far performance?

look up the future maxima : 2015 Maxima US Nismo Edition 6 speed Manual!
I have this car and i`m happy :)
also I have a question
shall I but the 2011 one, or shall I wait till 2012?
I heard nothing much will change, but the prices might go up because of Japan's crisis?
If this car got 20 city and 30 hwy with regular gas... IT WOULD BE THE GREATEST CAR OF ALL TIME...

What’s the real story with the CVT trans?
this is the first cheap fwd car with paddle shifters now the camry has it
Wow, would've never guessed it was a front drive car!
@BeatCountCentral99 Yeah sorta. The 2013 Taurus in my opinion looks different than both the Maxima and the Infiniti M.
@brandenkhan15 Right. Kind of forgot about that one.
2012 acura tl 29 mpg 286hp more standard features y would u buy this
This color is not available in my country, I got the white one.
NISSAN HAS EXTENDED THE CVT WARRANTY TO 120K ..AND SOME OTHERS WARRANTY TO 6 YEARS UNLIMITED MILES ..
they should make it rwd and stick shift and then it will be interesting
@TheGusto69 you guys(AUS) get all the real Japanese cars with the power and motor intended for the car actually in it...in the states they're more worried about sales being hurt from higher automobile insurance or passing emissions...or passing our ridiculous FMVSS...
I think they should have an. AWD option. But i think the next maxima is gonna be AWD. Cause its gonna pass 300hp. To much for FWD
@Godblesseveryone4 the maxima might be heavier but it has 290 hp compared to 268 hp in the carmy

@MrFrozenCanuck what do you have now?
The actura tl fwd has only 280hp
97-99 were good maxima's
If that grill was wider... Perfection

@MrFrozenCanuck hahaha thats not that bad of a car..and yeah gm does not have good quality.. what problems have you had?
beautiful.
Love it
thanks man :-D
I like the part were he talks about the car...
@7477238 I agree, this car would be awesome with a 6 speed auto
@steve9509 Audi A3 TDI and Acura MDX
Nissan Venezuela
@SomeCrazyFellow A legion of at least 2 or 3 ;-)
nice
@Godblesseveryone4 no just no the maxima is faster and the gas peddle you wont stick
Road noise and interior build quality need improvement.
Well awd is possible. Cuz. Nissan knows this car is over powerd.
