I live in Austin from El Paso had some dude trying to tell me the other day that they pay illegals $10,000 in Corpus Christi to sit around and smoke pot all day. This shit is getting way out of hand. 😂 They don’t live here for free.

The EV competition in the market is eating into Tesla. I've several friends who have purchased a new EV that is less expensive and has a much better range than Tesla. They LOVE their EVs.

In Ohio, MANY immigrants (I can't speak for their green card status) "live" in hotels and go to work EVERY SINGLE DAY. They are mainly in construction-roofing and painting, or landscaping and get picked up by 7 am.
Personally, I think it's smart to stay at an affordable Red Roof or Super 8- they have a mini fridge, housekeeping/clean towels, a pool/hot tub, toiletries, a continental breakfast and coffee, micro, Wi-Fi and utilities and a washer and dryer on premise. They bust their butts on jobs most Americans think they're too good for, and they save every penny besides their hotel and food.
They're definitely not free loading in Ohio. They keep their nose to the grindstone. Local law enforcement is aware they're at the hotels, not sure if ICE enforces legals vs illegals. But it's 95% men working age. I think it's impressive bc young American males aren't standing in line for the jobs these young men are doing

I live in a poorer working-class Austin neighborhood that's majority immigrant, from many countries but mostly Mexico. I see exactly what you see- people working their asses off to support their families here and back home. I see dedication, sacrifice, perseverance, honor, and dignity. I get HOPPING MAD when people bad-mouth my neighbors.

I talk to people while I travel. Many are traveling workers for their company and their families are at home. They are very interesting and are apparently paid well ti do traveling work. Makes a lot of sense to me. BTW, moat were bilingual.

Argument 1- blame republicans 🙄
Argument 2- illegal immigration is good for the economy.
When David says that illegal immigration is good for the economy, what he means is that it’s good for the companies bottom line to hire illegal workers and pay them indentured servitude wages. Obviously that’s going to lead to higher profits. He doesn’t mention that it depresses the wages for everyone working in those already very low paying industries. From the perspective of the company, why pay a living wage and make less money when you can pay an illegal worker next to nothing and rake in the extra profits? Next thing you know David will be parroting the old “jobs Americans won’t do” nonsense. That term needs to be changed to “pay Americans won’t work for” If ANY of those jobs Americans “won’t do” offered a living wage as compensation you would get tons of American applicants.
Both have been documented and it's just a matter of looking into it properly.
I appreciate your comment. What good comes of inviting people to work for far below the standard that Americans have worked hard to achieve? Why would we want to undermine that?

The fact is that it is the law-- that applicants for asylum are processed, and in the interim, perhaps sustained by the government. (I don't claim to know in detail about the fine points of immigration law, but I do know one thing: if anyone presents himself at a United border station claiming a need for asylum, we, and any of the rest of the modern world, are obligated to admit the claim)
