@@WadeG94 have you tried changing the camera angle of how you see the player’s? For me personally when it’s zoomed all the way to a certain player my play personally isn’t as good but if I zoom out a little bit and I can see the whole offense/defense on a specific play that has helped me but I am sure Eric’s gonna have a kick ass comment/video about this very soon

I’m trying to change my quarterbacks’ throw style to slinger 8 in franchise, but when I do change it in the edit player menu, and tested it in practice, his throwing motion is the same, as if I didnt change it to slinger 8 at all. I even changed his abilities and it is still the same. please help
How do you throw with a low overall qb so they do float it much
Guys, football is a chess match. When you play against someone online, look for what they like to do, what plays they like etc... If they like stacking the box and blitzing you will not have much time in the pocket just like in real life if you do not have your TE's and RB's helping pick up blitzers. If they don't blitz often and only have 3-4 guys on the d-line you will have a hard time completing passes. It won't be impossible but you will have a much harder time passing so run the ball! If your opponent makes fun of you for just running the ball a lot that's because they are being stupid and don't know how to play the game of football! Even in real life play calling plays a huge part in the success of drives and whole games in general. Have somewhat of a gameplan and mix up your plays, that is how you become a good player.
Well I played running back in high-school so I have a rub 1st bias anyways. Plus I'm a jets fan and I'm going to use my team lol so run most the game is the way to go for me. Use that to set up short passed from under center. Jets playbook sucks tho

@@CAVEMANsean I play with Jets on FOTF w/ QB & Won Super Bowl heisman 1st season, they actually got a decent playbook as long as you know how to properly use the clock to your advantage

Man, I've been throwing so many picks but after watching this I feel like the game is giving me the tools to do better, I just haven't been adapting. The total control passing is something I need to spend some time to learn to do more effectively.

Another good tip is playing Gun Bunch, it allows you to block with your TE & RB. You can really play around with it & mix it up to catch people off guard.

I always try to have at the very least 3 good quick reads,the fact is most players wont have the time to go Through all 5 reads to their receiver so I try to simplify it cause im not the best passer of close to being elite and have struggled with it. You just have to get used to seeing the field quickly and watching where defenders move to. Checkdowns are crucial. Having some idea what defense your opponent is in can help a little. Understanding your opponents blitz methods and blocking to have extra time in the pocket and repetition. I'll go into practice mode and run a play against a certain defense like cover 3 and see how it works and try to scheme guys open and then run it against another defense like cover2 and 4. Quick easy reads,pocket awareness,practice/repitition,utilizing checkdowns and understanding what different coverages do and adjusting/hot routing guys open or a chance to get open.

Luring people in works for me. Run heavy, use a few check downs to get the defense complacent. Then get them in man coverage audible into a verts. Have a fast receiver and its touchdown every time.

The bunch play that you showed. Is it better ideally against a cover 2 or 3? Or will it work universal like that against all coverages
TBH, it feels like the new pass lead is the old throwing mechanics from PS2 days. I'm not talking about the visual of the bars, just the ability to lead your passes with control.

Thank you for the content Sir. I liked the video already beause it is informative. I have a major issue with madden 22 ps4. When i have one on one coverage and i throw the ball deep and user the receiver there is a ''DELAY,'' madden will not let me catch the ball. I hit the button a bunch of times but it only lets the DB int EVERYTIME. Not like the old madden better game play.

What did the updates fix? I just bought it yesterday. I heard Franchise mode was having problems.
If there was time to go through progressions, then we wouldn't need to worry about passing "tips". EA created a double edge sword with the changes they made. They make blitzing even easier now on an already crap O line blocking system. So you basically get 1 progression and BOOM sack! Then they make the secondary ridiculously hard to pass on so interceptions come in a fury. If they would've just made the secondary better and actually fixed the O line problem, passing would be much easier to do. It's way too frustrating now.
Facts. Every pass attempt is either a sack or interception. It’s ridiculous
They couldn’t fix the zones so a way to hide that was to break the OL even more and speed up the blitz so people won’t have time to see how broken the zones still are 😂
The time to pass is just fine tbh. If you have correct blocking and not 5 receivers going out every play you can easily block everything. If they send more than that then their coverage in the back end is terrible. As far as interceptions I feel like I haven’t really thrown a pick I didn’t deserve this year.
@@ondovids9253 facts people do not like the that they are not apart of the skill gap now no more easy or cheesy plays it’s more realistic there are not a lot of good teams that have all day in the pocket a lot of times in the game a qb only has time to make two progression maybe three if the third one is a check down it’s more refreshing to me i love how the defense plays hope they don’t change it in a big update

I've always had issues with passing in the Madden game and this seems to be a simpler walk through. I don't play online but play in Franchise on pro level.

This guy in my franchise complained about the oline. I laugh because in previous madden he’s won a few bowl games. I destroyed him in our match up. The only reason he was mad is because he couldn’t sit back behind his oline (not a pocket) for 12 seconds to wait for these long routes to develop. He was sacked 6 times throughout the game. I feel the way the oline and the passing is now, made the playing field even.

This new passing mechanic with the slow time leading WR away from the DB...totally jacked that from Blitz: The League. That's definitely the Clash Mechanic. It's not as in depth but is the same concept for sure. Come on EA...

Im done with madden. Passed it to Cupp bounced of him defense tip it twice interception. Now im on defense get a pick got the ball back time winding down im in field goal range my guy fumbles on a simple tackle. Every game is basically a turnover battle.

I picked up madden 23 for franchise mode but I don't see any markers like in other videos dealing with passing, it's the same as 22 to me and no different, but idk

Is it just me or are Play Actions with Bootleg/Roll Outs bonked? The play specifically calls to boot but the tackle blocks the edge rusher directly into the roll out? Also it seems like you have to use a bullet pass for 80% of passes - touch passes get sniped too easily

Realistically all you need to do is hope the animation simulation works in your favor.

Honestly, the safeties in this madden are just ridiculous. They can literally recover way too fast and they catch better than receivers, it makes no sense to me. Also, I hate that when my receiver clears the linebacker and i try to hit him in the pocket, my qb throws the ball literally right to the safety , it doesnt make sense to me and it has never been like that in madden before, I cant aim the pass like i was able to before.
I think Eric has the pass blocking slider up. How am I getting sacked, but he has time to look through progressions?

On my single player Falcons Franchise on All Madden difficulty, I‘m getting frustrated after times… every game ends with a blow out & I'm 0-6… I‘m on All Madden since Madden NFL 11 and never had problems like this year… my D is solid but the offense is ridiculous

None of this matters fr man I played did the step up they had Trent Williams getting killed in pass blocking situations all because somebody was playing on the Dline

The new passing system is stupid because you need around 4 seconds to use it, but the pass rush is almost always making a sack after 3 seconds.

How do you lob pass? It's always a bullet no matter what I do. Frustrated me soo much I almost requested a refund. I tap the button and he just pump fakes.
I don’t get why people like to do that a lot during games lol but I do see it a lot in kids especially my son 😂😅
One thing I dont like about madden23 is everytime I run out of bounds before the 2min warning to stop the clock, the clock doesn’t stop and it goes straight to 2min warning timeout. Like c’mon Im trying to get one more play off lol
That’s always been the case. Running out of bounds doesn’t stop the clock until 2 minute warning.
Outside of the two minute warning, running out of bounds only stops the clock until the ball is set on the field.
Inside the two minute warning, running out of bounds stops the clock until the ball is snapped.
They changed that rule in the NFL like 15 yrs ago. I forget which team was notorious for it but there were a couple high scoring teams that were going out of bounds a lot and extending games and giving more time to get more points
We still can't edit Throwing styles. EA needs to patch this.
