- Today i am going to restore a worst and Rusty Angle Grinder. It was just impossible for Machine mechanics to restore it so i decided to do it. This is the perfect and one of the hardest restoration i've ever done. The most Complicated and Difficult part was when i was opening screws. The Armature was also Hard to clean up because of some sensitively attached wires.
So guyz sit relax and just enjoy the video.

Is anyone else out there getting addicted to these restoration videos?
can't sleep at night, can't stop watching...
Yup
@@boucharebabderaouf8204 you are so much right,I forget about sleep and hunger,so amazing!
It's in our instincts to restore, rebuild, repair, make use of our hands and tools, and labor. Consumerism is unnatural and unhealthy. It's also why more and more products are designed to be disposed and only serviced by professionals, driving more consumption.
Oh yep.
THANK YOU for using a power drill!!!! For screw extraction, you save me a lot of time. Most people sit there wasting time in their builds. You edited this video well.
Yeah, i'm addicted to these videos, another gem that won't go into landfill.
ever heard of harbor frieght tools...on the other hand the focus of this whole operation is views. hats off to you for taking/putting back together
What a great way to clean the rotor. Would never have thought about that. Great video.
bullshits...! 😂😂😂
A hell of a job.... great work
A joy to watch. You make everything look so disgustingly simple. It's just a pity that some people are so careless with their machine tools.
Can we take a moment to acknowledge the skill this man possesses? The only tool I've personally seen in worse shape than that one was so rusty it disintegrated in my hand when I picked it up.
Quedó fantástica compañero. Saludos

These guys leave the tool for 1 week in salted water for it to rust, and then they do the videos.
I am glad you are back with another one of your work, it was soooo dedicated.
So many comments about why you would restore it or its just a peice of junk. I think it's bloody impressive to take apart the whole thing, clean it and put it back together. Well done mate
I love these videos!! My father was a mechanic and I have great memories of hearing the sounds of tools coming from his garage every Saturday morning. ❤❤❤
That was totally amazing! Good job!
It's not about the value of what he's restoring, it's the fact that he can. That's what's amazing to me!!
That is true. The bearings and other parts he had to buy new were probably more than you can buy a new grinder for. But he can take pride in the fact that he rebuilt it himself
And the "Experts" said it couldn't be done. Hah! A Labor of Love. Thank You for sharing!
How interesting to watch! A total transformation! Well Done!
Very nice restoration!
Saving the planet, one restoration at a time!
I couldn't imagine breaking that down into all those parts then trying to figure out how each of them go back. You are good !
Nice to see tools brought back to life,I get some achievement when i can bring back a tool to clean working condition,
It never fails to amaze me how people allow tools to deteriorate like that. Great restoration. I enjoyed watching that.
the color is beautiful. you are gifted.
God Bless

These videos popped into my feed and I'm hooked!
La scuola di elettrotecnica! Era da buttare! Bravo maestro
A freezer and a heat source will be your friend with the installation of those bearing! Awesome video!
use a hammer, who cares! No one will be using it anyway.
there was no need to drill the fan. That pressed sheet holder just keeps the bearing in place. As soon as you undo the pinion nut you can push the shaft out of the bearing as teh pinion will stay behind. Its the nut that holds the pinion by means of friction
Exactly. Always keep in mind: Somebody once assembled it in the factory the way it is. So it has to come apart without destroying something.
H
@@Chris-yy7qc Although it may be true in this case. Today we are getting into more and more lean manufacturing which means fewer fasteners. Many consumer products rely on snap fit plastic enclosures and sometimes it is impossible to remove them without destroying something. For example my Sony TV remote has only one screw that holds both the top and bottom of the enclosure together. They are many snaps that hold the remote together. I had to open the remote to fix a badly leaked battery. Despite my best care to dismantle the top part with a guitar pick I ended up breaking a few snaps.
He needed to use the puller because the bearing was rusted on the shaft. The fan will be unbalanced now though. Drill a hole in the other side of the fan to balance it
@@pieman12345678987654 Also, one should keep in mind that the motor spins very fast, like 30000 RPM. The centrifugal forces may cause the fan wheel to explode.
I wouln't trust this "restored" tool.
Absolutely ! I am hooked on these videos.
I think the most fascinating part is he is able to do this without saying a word. I'd have ever four letter word imaginable... along with a few "what the...?"
It would have been great if you could have shown us your smile when you test the motor and it work.
That's usually my concern whenever I repair something electrical. Either it Sparks pops and smokes or it works.
Is really majestic to see what's your hands can do it. My respect. From Canary islands _Spain
Absolutely amazing!!
I always see the beginning and the end! Always a great watch.
Great job keeping another tool from going to the trash pile. Keep in up.
I didnt understand a single thing that you did but it was beautiful and very relaxing to watch while drawing
Though I didn't think he fully clean the wiring, I think he did his best.
Gracias a tu canal ahora compro equipo asi para restaurar. Eres un profesional. Sigue con los videos. Saludos
7:42 - Me sitting here thinking: "Dude's collecting the pieces to throw them in the TRASH."
12:03 - When those parts came out of the vinegar: "Oh sh-t, this f-ckers gonna do it!"
Great job! But never insert a bearing by hitting it directly with a hammer 16:32. Either press it in ensuring even pressure on all parts or cover the bearings surface and then tap it in with a hammer. They are very easy to damage. If you don't have a press, try a G clamp or something similar but always cover the bearing
Agreed!!!!
the way handtool rescue does it is he puts a socket over the bearing thats just big enough to hit the inner ring but small enough to avoid hitting the rest of the bearing
I was going to say the same thing. All that care taken dismantling just to risk shattering the bearings at the end of the rebuild, Stop rushing. Find the correct tool for the job and take your time. It's like you got all excited in the final stages. Lol
@@Dilgash. i wouldnt go that far because there are a few great people that are from ther like alec steel
Dilgash Mizori so you decide to take your drama to a CZcams comment section on a video of a grinder being restored. Yeh I bet you’re a real hero in person.
im in awe of your talents and patience fantastic job
Goodness that looked complicated! Nice work!
Well done Mr random great job once again sir
dont encourage him
Your title infers that this is your worst attempt at restoring an item. I know you mean it was the HARDEST TO RESTORE due to the item being so badly rusted and such.
Really LOVE what you do. THANK YOU! :-)
Please recommend the best restoration vid you've ever seen. I am hooked.
i never end up doing stuff like this but it’s so satisfying to watch
HAA. CANT PUT A BRASS HANDLE ON THIS ONE NOW CAN YOU!!!!

I love watching these restorations, it makes me want to try and bring some old tool back to life myself!
man you are genius i wonder how you remember exact fixing when it was so rusted.. truly amazing job you owe a life & life saver seriously.. im sure not a single liker or commenter can do this even if you pay them any amount lolz..
He's never gonna be able to restore this to a working tool... ... ... Oh! Well! Good job man...:)
There's definitely a fine line between genius and insanity. And man have you lost your mind? Cuz I'll help you find it!
Bravo Monsieur!

It's very hard. Good job.
Absolutely Awesome! 😎👍👍
nicely done...and quiet, too.
Chinese Dexter 750W Angle Grinder - was new for around $40.
For a similar Dexter Angle Grinder there is a recall that it is unsafe "handle may detach".
Now that you restored it, throw it away...
where was that grinder last used? on the Titanic ??
Looks like a new grinder to me, Just through some vinegar into it and leave for a couple days it will look like it was under the sea for a hundred years..
Hans Ruperts vinegar actually removes rust from metal
@@Nunyuhbusniz If you leave vinegar on metal it will cause it to rust.
Hans Ruperts no it won’t search it up
It was last used on Noah's arc!
That's a really great job on the angle grinder resto. 👍🇭🇲😁
Espectacular !
Excellent job! It’s my favorite tool, I have the Ryobi cordless.
Wow, that came out amazing!
Great job man! Amazing performance!
A prime example of "Just because you CAN fix something" doesn't mean you should.
Looks like somebody left it out in the rain!!!!
Exactly it bore alot of rains i think
looks more like somebody went magnet fishing in a river and that is what they caught.
Or flooded basement
Captains obvious! On top of things i see!! Lol
Good job
Eeeeexcelllent. New tool to add to the tool box👌🏾👍🏾👌🏾
Great work putting that back together..... looking like brand new money
@Volga Tatar

Thoroughly the grinder is well assembled and get a life.
Amazing work
This restoration was much difficult then i thought.
Random Hands well... it was a dexter...

I haven’t started the video but I’m pretty sure he puts a brass handle on it
Wow. Awesome.
Esse é profissional... parabéns.
Pretty amazing, but I'll just get a new one at a pawn shop for $20, lol. No way I have this kind of patience
I can tell u soaked it in a bucket of water for quite some time just to do this restoration...
I think a lot of thess videos do that, you can tell because the bolts n screws come off so easily.
Real rusted stuff is like its almost welded on.
The plastics and rubber was intact. You are spot on. This looks staged.
It had to be a long long long time if he did. That armature wouldn't have pitted like that for years.
@@Silent-Lucidity immerse it in vinegar and/or salt water for 2 days and here you go!
Rick Williams it was made in 2017 so couldn’t have been too long. See 2:20 in the video.
excelente vídeo muy instructivo aprendí mucho gracias
I must admit I didn't think you could do it. Great job.
After the scene showing the parts disassembled... I would have tossed it and made a trip to the hardware store for a new one. :)
I'd need to film this just to know where all the parts go. This thing is complicated.
Beyond impressed. Thought this might be a joke video during the tear down. Like you might just go out and buy a new one at the end. Good job.
Great job Man !!
Was it on a sunk ship? Otherwise so much new rust...
The plastic & rubber are new...
i don't really understand why you were spraying penetrating oil
onto screws that go into plastic?
Paul, I think there was metal anchor points behind the plastic.
two materials are biggest problem
Aluminium with metal, or with plastic
A little bit of penetrating lubrication certainly won't hurt. The iron converted into expanded abrasive iron oxide that friction locks the screws in place. If they were self tapping, they go into plastic, if they're machine screws, they go into brass inserts melted into the plastic.
Half the screw is still in the metal plate
Great job!
Excellent, good salvage, well done!
Another throw away tool saved to give a few more years service,i prefer to try and refurbish my tools rather than throw away . Wife thinks I am mad
Excellent job
unbelievable, great work!
That fan will explode, and be a balancing nightmare, a file is way too aggressive to clean those laminations, molybdenum disulfide grease should have been used, some of those wires and spades would have been easier if replaced and last longer/work better too. Youre better than that.
..
agree with you on those laminations of the stator. ruined the motor just to make it look shiny.
Good job man !!! Congratulations !!!!
Beautiful restore!
