Thanks for watching our first Colorado Camping trip of 2023! We may not be in the rockies yet, but soon enough!
We moved to Estes last year and while the park is beautiful in the snow I’m definitely looking forward to the warmer hiking weather. We have been going to other places down in the valley some while it’s not too hot down there!
When things warm up a little more.. and you're in the area. Check out the highway 139 corridor between Fruita and Rangely. Beautiful in that area, and on the Rangely side there are a bunch of Petrolgyphs.
Yes, that's an area I want to explore soon. I want to get to Dinosaur National Monument too.

I agree with you about the weather in Colorado being tough this year. We just moved to Grand Junction in March and everyone we have talked with to says it is unusually cold for this time of year.
Yes, this has definitely been quite the winter. Almost reminds me of Minnesota winters! 😬 Hopefully, this snowy cold weather will go away soon.
