There is a bleed screw ontop of the thermostat housing to get air out of the system. If you don’t get that air out it won’t let water flow to radiator.
When I saw your timing belt video I thought "eeeeh, maybe I shouldn't have been so fussy about getting a K6A Carry instead of an F6A". Then I saw what it takes to open the bonnet... I have no regrets.
What's different about the K6A Carry bonnet? I started with a Carry because I wanted the round headlights with a pipe dream of one day swapping the motor with the DOHC one. This way almost all the maintenance parts for me to stock for the truck and Cara will be the same and if my Cara ever needed something I would cannibalize the truck to keep it going. Then I bought a wrecked Cappuccino to keep it on hand and my truck decided to blow the headgasket shortly after😆.
@@AnythingWheeled You pull a lever in the cabin and it pops loose. When you lift it, a metal pole holds it up. Then you move the pole aside, push it down and a latch grabs it and holds it closed. ;) If I win the lottery, I'm buying a Caterham 7 sports car. Also has a K6A engine. Similar reasoning. I'll miss the airbags, AC and power steering of the Carry though...
So it must have run low enough where it got below the sensor and wouldn’t kick the fan on? After that it’s just a boil out party…… thermostat on my book. If it was just the water pump, the fan would kick on, but it would never cool.
It probably boiled out with the radiator cap seal being bad too. I will find out soon enough, timing belt swap first. Most of this won't really matter once I start the Carryccino build since this motor would be removed along with the thermostat and water pump. I'm only doing the timing belt swap for the youtubes and for a practice run.
You mean the actual plates? Once upon a time the color of the car it was on was yellow. It was a 2016 convertible Mustang GT. Now only I'm yellow. 😂 czcams.com/video/TZRLiSQ0OCA/video.html

Yep I got to that. My headgasket has to be busted because my oil was a coffee with 10 milks.

Wait wait wait. What? Is this one of the newer less than 25 year old ones?
@@AnythingWheeled yeah, I drive a 2005. Ain't she a beauty? inthe.study/stuff/tarp.jpg
Mmm, well that's totaled. Tell ya what I'll do ya a solid and buy that wreck off ya for $1000...😈😂😂😂lol
The entire motor is for sale, minus the oil pan.😊
Did you ever figure it out? Was it just the cap?
My headgasket has to be blown since I showed in one or two of the following videos where I had coffee with milk as oil 😂
