I remember watching an episode featuring Phil Lynott, who was Crowther's son in law.
Must have been not long before Lynott died in 1986...

The following year, Bill Maynard stood as a candidate in the Chesterfield by-election. Despite being a Labour Party supporter, Maynard felt that the Labour candidate, Tony Benn, had been parachuted into a safe seat and opposed his politics, considering Benn to be too far to the left (Maynard was still a supporter of former Labour PM James Callaghan), so he stood as an Independent Labour candidate. Benn won the by-election, and Maynard came fourth. It would be his only foray into politics.

I remember when Suzi Quatro appeared on the show. Her daughters flashed her knickers by accident; that would never happen today.

Bernie Winters would become the host of Whose Baby from the next series that was broadcast in 1984.

Wasn't this the series where Kenneth Williams was a regular panelist?

I was going to mention that. I don't remember Leslie Crowther hosting this show, but I do remember Bernie Winters doing it. Didn't he also manage to get the ever present Schnorbitz involved?

Because Leslie Crowther presented The Price Is Right for Central in 1984.

Do'nt know what year it is because it's in silly roman numerals at the end. And also, what's with the stopwatch? Other than these, it's a good show.

I used to get Bill Maynard and Roy Kinell mixed up whenst I was a pup! His daughter sat there looking as uncomfortable as a lame turkey sitting on a pile of Paxo listening to Xmas carols!

I remember Bernie Winters awkward host stint. He kept shrugging his shoulders & telling his guests "You got a lovely house ,I might come visit someday" like his old showbiz pals had shunned him after the split with Mike.
