      Ditto, it was almost a Pratchett-esque reminder that Death doesn't have a sense of humour.

    I love reading all the intelligent comments on CH videos, the fact that the people comment on these vids means they are looking up something good on youtube, whatever side of the argument you are on,class act..

    Great public speaker. Kenny had clearly read the book as well. It's a pity that it was such a short interview. Hitch. May he not rest in peace in the nicest possible way.

      Octavian Caesar Hibernicus I think what he is saying is that Hitch knew there isn’t an afterlife so he is dead and not resting ... hence he is not “resting in peace”

    "The British Isles" is an out-dated, much maligned term(mostly for the Irish) as it implies that all "IONA" are Britain, Great Britain or the United Kingdom(very distinct different meanings) which politicise them beyond just a geographical reference.
    However, it is correct that it is just a "Geographical Term" but it is slowly being replaced, hopefully completely in the near future by "British" &/OR "Irish" + "I.sles O.f the N.orth A.tlantic",
    - Do us all a favour, google PBD & re-focus.

    • @johnmc3862
      @johnmc3862 Před 2 lety +1

      It’s a grammatically incorrect Geographical term. Otherwise it could be called the ‘Irish Isles’ and see how the British like it.

    I don't know what they teach young people in geography these days, but Ireland is part of the British Isles. If you don't believe me, look it up on wikipedia.
    The British Isles does not equal Great Britain. Obviously the republic of Ireland is not part of Great Britain, and nobody is saying it is.

    • @Kitiwake
      @Kitiwake Před 5 lety +2

      Ahh.. wikipedia .... Nobody expects Wikipedia
      You fucking clown.... Nobody relies on Wikipedia .. Because it's written by people like you.
      Irish people reject that label.
      Sorry for you.

    • @johnmc3862
      @johnmc3862 Před 2 lety +3

      It’s a politically loaded term and shouldn’t be used. The Republic of Ireland is included in the British Isles term and shouldn’t be. The British and Irish isles would be correct. Contrary to popular belief very few people outside Britain actually use it.
