@JenniferGlatzhofer i'm still waiting for react this song by Dimas Senopati
love seeing you react to songs i grew up on. wasted time was an awesome song as well.
Steelheart, You won't be sorry.
Please react to Skid Row Wasted Time Official Video thanks
If you want vocal range and clarity try Quennsryche live in Tokyo 1984 take hold of the flame
The song "wasted time" will give you an idea of what he can really do with his voice. This song is personal to him, and the emotion really pours out.
Agree 100%
I second that.
You should hear his voice in Wasted time & Quicksand Jesus.😊
@@AbbaSlavThis x 1000 👍
Agreed, Wasted Time is a must!
I miss these days. No autotune, just great voices. No computer generated “music”, just musicians who could actually plays instruments. And non-repetitive lyrics that actually had emotion. This song often left my ears ringing, my arms covered in goosebumps, and maybe a tear in my eye.
Same!! Remember when these were new songs and they are still being enjoyed to this day.
"18 and Life" is a great song that should be checked out.
Sebastian is forever my favorite vocalist. Iconic vibrato, range and power. He was perfection in the 90s. Love him! ❤
“Woke up to the sound of pouring rain…”
I actually did last wk🤷👌
Damn near 20 minute reaction, and not one single indictment of Sebastián being "nasally." Thank you so much.
This song brings back so many memories. …I’m not crying…I’m not…
Damn dust in my eyes 🥹
no you're not, neither am I .... just a vile attack of the Ninjas onion cutters ;)
Allergies I say
Sebastian busted on the scene and had us all amazed with his voice back in the day.
Wasted Time should be next please
true
When this came out on the radio (which is all most of had back then) millions of people were like "Yeah, I Love This". - It wasn't Can I relate to this; Of course you can. We have all lost people. It was also how beautifully it was sung. - That's at least half of it right there.
'imagine singing this live...."
There's at least one really good quality video on CZcams of him doing it - and not only does he pull it off, but he holds the distorted Super Rock Notes WAY longer than he does in the studio version.
And that's just one song from a full concert.
Sebastian Bach is an absolute *beast*.
"Wasted Time" is an incredible song you can feel Sebastian Bach pouring his emotion into that song.
Steelheart's Never Let You Go is a great song for a rock reaction! Thanks, Jen.
Your eyes brightening and smile took me right back to 1989. The best memories of my life and I thank you for the reminder. I'll watch the rest of your video now...
He's not saying "Look out for the sound" lol, he's saying "Woke up to the sound"
A very underrated band from the late 80's.
Sebastian Bach is a legit singer. He now sings on Broadway. Amazing that his voice has never changed in 30 years. Brilliant - this is my favorite song by Skid Row.
Absolutely one of the greatest. He's like an athlete and he's been conditioning and training his whole life. Sebastian is incredible.
I saw these guys in 1992 and they were amazing. I really enjoy his vocals, he was even more impressive live.
This was my first time watching one of your videos and I enjoyed it very much. I am 59 years old so when this song was released I was in the middle of all of the "Hair Bands" scene. Sabastian Bach was one of my favorite singers and I still get chills when I hear this song in particular. His voice is iconic. If you really want more of this type of vocals there are several to chose from in that era. One of the stand outs is Steelheart - I'll Never Let You Go. Trust me you wont be disappointed.
Love his vocals always have brings back memories the good ole days
Skid Row with Sebastian Bach voice was one of the last great hair\metal bands of the 80's before grunge took over the radios.
You have got to check out "Wasted Time" if you want to hear his full range.
🔥🥵🔥 I'm jealous of his hair 😫 it should be illegal for a guy to have that hair 😅
Haha oh same!
Most beautiful face and voice....I see him now with his hilarious sense of humor. Glad he made it out of the 90's or early 2000's alive, so many didn't. Always check for him, fantastic
Tbh, if I were sat on my hands making the sound of false vocal folds, people would assume that I were dumping in my nappy. 😂😂
This song was release when I was 17 years old. First time that I have EVER started getting into the song and not wanting it to stop for reaction. (it's hard not to enjoy this performance) 😃🥰
Sebastian..I’m old….I saw him about this time twice…I sing. He sang live wonderfully. In eight or nine years I heard him and the….voice had really been beaten up. His prime? Wow.
Great track, great reaction and insights, thanks Jen 😊
Singers during the 80's and early 90's were ao much better than any if the singers of the 2000's. In my opinion.
👍 almost everyone, not all.
well, duh.
Well, believe it or not, there have been talented singers throughout the history of mankind since they were all human. Perhaps… just hear me out… what if, maybe, you just have a preference for a specific genre or time period based on your youth. I’m not saying it’s that, but tons of research proves that yeah that’s what it is. Amazingly there have been phenomenal singers throughout human history, and terrible ones as well.
You actually had to know how to sing since it was before auto tune and over produced crap
You havent heard taka from one ok rock my friend
I like when vocal coaches react to Sebastian Bach, I enjoyed your analysis a lot. I was lucky enough to see them Live opening for Bryan Adam's and they left us wanting more! His vocals were even better Live and the band was so well rehearsed with tons of Rock energy.
Back when Music was Music. I love this song. 1989 it was released.
This man was a generational talent
Towards the end, there's a backing vocal on the "I remember You" right before he goes into his I REMEMBAHH YOOUUUUUOOHHH YEAHHAEEEHAAA" part. Jon Bon Jovi was randomly in the studio where they recorded this and they asked him to add a background vocal to the track, so he did. @16:46
😱 no way!
Just discovered your channel. Love it! So happy to hear a reaction from someone who truly knows what they're talking about when it comes to singing.
Thank you!
As a fellow voice teacher, I would suggest Wasted Time. You won't regret it.
I’m going to have to check it out 😁
First time seeing one of your videos. You're smile is infectious. Top shelf content. Thank you!
As a matter of fact Sebastian just released a new solo album a few days ago.....he can still SANG
Try Triumph, Magic Power at the US Festival '83. Rik Emmett was another phenomenal voice from this era. Triumph stole the show in front of 375,000 fans.
S B is considered amongst his peers one of the great rock voices of his generation..✌️
She's dead at the end of thevguitar solo. It's crying. The grit is the pain of lising his love after taking care of her through an illness.
The host has a good voice.
Jen, you will be so happy that you discovered this guy.
New sub here! Excellent reaction! I saw this song performed some year in the 90's (sorry don't remember the exact year) and they blew it away while opening for Gund-N-Roses.
Bazza was simply untouchable as a singer, no one since can match him ❤
((happy dance)) I am so, so, so happy you jumped into the Skid Row pond. There are a number of songs that really show off Bas' vocal chops. A lot of folks have already mentioned "18 and Life", but I also would note "Wasted Time", "Quicksand Jesus", and "In a Darkened Room". He has a very powerful theatrical voice - I know he has been on Broadway, and lead a long running "Jekyll and Hyde" tenure in Toronto quite a few years back.
I KNEW this would be a longer analysis because, not only is Bas a new singer for you, but there is just so much to unpack. Highly talented and volatile - the perfect rock 'n roll mix. I'm glad you noted the "conversation" between Sebastian Bach and the guitarist Snake Sabo. They always had great chemistry together and have similar conversations in some of the songs above.
Thank you for another wonderful reaction/analysis. :)
I wholeheartedly agree with quicksand Jesus and in a darkened room.
Bach has one of the most beautiful and technically perfect voices in rock!!
18 and Life is a MUST! I would love to hear Mitch Grassi sing this song.
WOKE UP TO THE SOUND
Anything from the first self titled album BOSTON. Arguably one of the best albums from start to finish ever. 70-80s band
Sebastian is an incredible vocalist. It's too bad that he couldn't get along with his bandmates. They fired him and kicked him out of the band.✌️
Sebastian has always been one of the best for my generation. Unfortunately the younger generation has no idea.
More Skid Row.. 'Wasted Time", "In a Darkened Room", and really Sebastian just released a new sone!
Jennifer! Hmm, SKID ROW ... new to me. Let's see, released 1989. Interesting. It still has a bit of a rock feel from 10 years earlier to me. Yikes ... C5! Not that I doubted you but I had to check. Nice wailing guitar solo ... uh oh ... "ask someone many questions" ... I bet I know who someone is! 😁🎸 Oh and finishing up with the acoustic ... more questions for someone. That was pretty cool. Good selection and an awesome reaction and analysis as always Jen.
BEST DAYS EVER WERE THE DAYS OF HAIR BANDS! SEBASTIAN BACH RULES!
LOL!!! You got me when you threw up the metal horns spontaneously! I'm subscribing now.
🤘🏼😂
I looove this band, and I really appreciate your analysis from this incredible ballad rock song.
I'm going to Skid Row tomorrow, but the temporary lead singer is Lindsay Hale of Halestorm.
Should be amazing.
Wow the best strong vocal ever......
Really miss that era, i wish i can back to that time once more
Skid Row was one of my first bands, after I was kinda reborn as a music fan, starting with rock and metal. Despite the era they came up in, they didn’t indulge in makeup and hair spray, to their credit. “18 and Life” was my #1 jam, the story of a troubled youth gone down the wrong path. But equally awesome. Full disclosure, I didn’t get how good of a singer Sebastian Bach was then; I was just a teen boy rocking out. Now I’ve learned he is a highly trained vocalist who even did Broadway.
They were a little past my time, but he's got some pipes.🤩
I had no idea what to expect and thoroughly enjoyed this! 😁❤
Sebastian Bach's voice was supernatural back then.
If you haven't done Queensryche yet, this would bee a great time. Start with "Take Hold of the Flame" Live in Tokyo and then do "Silent Lucidity" everyone does the official video, but try the version live from the MTV Music Awards. You'll be looking at two live performances to compare. You will be amazed!!
I saw them three or four times back in the day. I sounded amazing live.
Truly one of the best vocalist in rock music. ❤
Seen Skid Row a few times in concert and his voice was just as awesome live. I seen an interview with Sabastian Bach where he said he was channeling his inner Steve Perry (Journey) to hit those high notes. Great reaction!! 😊
Wasted Time,In A Darkened Room & Quicksand Jesus by Skid Row are some of Sebastian's best vocals imo. Sebastian has one of the best voices in Rock...like for REAL. His vocal range and acrobatics are PHENOMENAL!! Very few others rival his voice...maybe Geoff Tate from Queensryche from around that time,or the lead singer of Steelheart, but not many have Sebastian talent vocally. Not to mention the rest of the band too...they also are amazing musicians as well which makes Skid Row one of my favorite bands from the 90's😄thanks for the fun trip down memory lane!!🎶❤✌
My all time favourite song
I has always loved a voice like his.
Nice catch on the transition into the I.
Nice reaction... I bet many people doing karaoke to this song failed at the end chorus
Sebastien Was not a formal trained singer. Natural talent. Many metal bands had great singers. No formal training.
I'm a big fan of your reactions. Keep it up!
90’s & 2000’s rock & metal was the best. I guess it’s whatever you grow up with in your early teens or 20’s is what sticks with you. When I was travelling in Australia (I’m from Northern Ireland) years ago, I spent the last few dollars I had to see Seb in concert & it was money well spent 😎
Excellent reaction!!! Incredible song!!!
LILIAC, HOLY DIVER. Yes it's a cover but this vocal you really need to check.
I was in my mid 20s when this came out. It’s so nice to see young people enjoying what we loved. I’m Sabestians twin 😂😂😂. I wish!!!
18 and life,
I recommend his song Wasted Time, really brings out his vocals.
One of the few dudes that drop me to my knees with their voice. The guys I'm talking about combine range, power, skill, effortlessness and longevity of their vocals. Oh, how I hate them.... ;) If you like this, you're definitely gonna love "wasted time" "Here I am" "midnight/tornado" "18 and life" "slave to the grind" "youth gone wild" - well, basically everything he's ever sung. He's one of those, you know...Masters. Natural born vocal killers. Floor sweepers.
Sebastian was incredible in concert! He could really hit the notes! Not as high now a days but still very good!
Watch the official Quicksand Jesus video by Skidrow. He really shows his vocal skills!
Sebastian Bach is an amazing vocalist. Another you need to check out is Michael Sweet from Stryper. Skid Row was discovered by Bon Jovi's manager
It was Jon Bon Jovi dad who discovered him at Mark Isham wedding. He was singing in a band called Madam’s X with Jerry Cantrell
I don't know if anyone mentioned it yet, but Sebastian is Bel Canto trained, and it really influences his sound. One of the few trained singers from the 'hair metal' era.
Must hear Wasted Time, amazing! Also, Sebastian has a brand new solo release.
You can watch this song live from Wembley. He totally blows the place up..
Wasted Time is amazing and heartfelt. You'll also love the opening of Monkey Business.
Check out Quick Sand Jesus
Hey Jennifer! If you want a voice from the 80s Era that will have you really amazed and diving more deeply into vocal delivery, range, clarity, and theatrics, do some videos on Geoff Tate of Queensryche! There's Take Hold of the Flame live in Tokyo in 1984, There's Eyes of A Stranger from Operation Mindcrime in the late 80s, and there's I Will Remember from MTV unplugged 1991 or 1992, just for starters! Geoff, in his hayday, delivered, bar none, the best lyrics and vocal lines of any singer in history! Check him out and tell us all if you agree!
Thank you!
He also did Jekyll and Hyde on Broadway.
😱😱
You really need to do steelheart , ill never let you go , and she gone
Watch out guys; she knows all the notes. ;)
(Skid Row - 18 and life) is another really good one.
There is a video live in wembley … is amazing… AMAZING!!!
My middle grade school crush ❤
If you want to hear this song live there a a couple versions hear on CZcams. Highly recommend.
Sebastian was a Wedding singer.
And when the brides saw him…..
Ok seriously, since you're a vocalist...I HIGHLY recommend checking out In A Darkened Room & Wasted Time....I can NOT stress enough how much more impressive Sebastian vocals are on both those tracks....honestly Wasted Time was written about his friend ODing, and the amount of RAW emotion & passion he adds to that song because its so personal is BEYOND anything you've ever heard I'm sure. Take his natural gift of his powerful vocals and add like 100×s the raw emotion and heart from the closeness of his personal connection & experience and you get one hell of a moving and deeply passionate performance.Trust me,its definitely worth a watch and listen.I re-subbed (somehow my subscription was deleted...not sure how or why because I love watching you!!) For MORE Skid Row and other fun reactions from you to come!!😄thanks!!🎶❤✌
I’m going to have to check them out 😁
