  • Light and bright, the white POC Ventral Air MIPS helmet is a product that I’ve been intrigued by simply because it’s clearly popular with cyclists everywhere. Matched with POC’s AIM sunglasses, it’s a great, comfortable combination for riding.
This is the unboxing: my first chance to sample some of the great POC cycling range.

PS. Please note: the commentary on sizing is incorrect.
I asked for a medium and a large... and what I've got is a small and a medium.
The labelling on the box includes all three sizes - and the actual size is the one listed in red.
You are correct. I am therefore talking about a small and a medium helmet... (under the assumption it was a medium and large).
    Please excuse the error.

Great review. Can't wait for mine, loving the whiteness and that eye garage thing.

Very light, self adjusting, and makes me feel safe. A great purchase!!

I have the POC Ventrail Spin & it literally saved my life, the helmet took the brunt of my impact with the pavement on the left temple area which was crushed & compacted, it cost me £225 when they first came out around three years ago & i replaced the crashed one with a like for like helmet, they are that good & very comfortable to wear, definitely the best helmet i have worn & used to date.

I am in the same boat I ordered a medium and large and received the correct sizes. Both fit, the medium is a but snugger but it looks less bulbus. But love the matte white. Thanks for the review

It literally says on the back of the shell “Small / 50-56” and “Medium / 54-59.”

Very good review. Should a helmet be a little loose on the sides or very tight? And does the helmet press against your forehead?

I have this helmet but in the safety orange color and the "Y" straps are completely adjustable but you need to work at it. It's one continuous strap but on each side you need to fiddle with them and loosen and tighten until you get the right fit. This is my second POC helmet and so I know what I'm talking about. My old helmet is the Octal which has two separate fixed straps that are less adjustable but easier to manage. You also don't need to cut the excess because there isn't an end point. The excess gets tucked inside a clever little cloth elastic section that keeps it tidy. I agree with Rob, the front needs a little more padding but the medium fits me great. Cheers

Are the 'Y' on the ear straps adjustable? They previously weren't

  • @sedricmalonejr

Any suggestions if a size XL is needed for a better fit? I am open to another brand being suggested.

  • @boymeronakongpaputok1408

is the strap on the ears is adjustable?

Why didn't u get poc ventral lite? Size Large is 250g. Of course medium will create pain on each side and feel restricted. I wear my Large Bontrager Wavecel Blaze over my nike hat and it's perfect fit, however the helmet weighs 465g which gives affects my nerves at around 3pm of the day from carrying a heavy load. It can impair vision and affect the mind....

The matt white is beautiful. But won’t get the white straps and white foam yellow-ish from sweat and dust over time?

I have the same helmet and looking at adding a pair of sutro's - any update on how the sutro's stay in the poc helmet garage. Do the Sutro S stay better?

Rob, it would be helpful to know what size (mm) your head is when doing sizing comparisons. I'm on the bubble between medium and large (in the overlap) but not sure if a medium will actually fit.

Hows the white/white/white aging? No yellowing?

How do you deal with sweat in the eyes? It's an unsolvable problem for me.

I thought the POC helmet was very light compared to Giro but there’s nothing in it, just a few grams
