    Agree that the Miura is the all time most innovative and beautifully designed super car. The original rear mid engined Supercar that set standards that are still found in most Supercars and Hyper-cars today. Designed 1964 and in Production 1966 - 1973 it is still as desirable 50+ years later. A very special car Damian. The F50 and Enzo are both worthy F40 replacements. My choice is the F50. Look forward to your future reveal.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    That Lancia 037 Stradale stole my heart. The only I’ve ever seen in a color other than red or white AND it’s DNA spawned the F40. Never mind it’s championship and bloodline to my heart throb Lancia.
    Note: The Miura SV spec was possibly the best I’ve seen to date and should be a legitimate candidate for F40 replacements. Please look at 1955 Lancia Aurelia S24 Spyder as well. As soon as you see it in detail you will want nothing more, period.

    My two favourite Ferrari engines are the flat 12 and F50, but totally agree I have never liked the 512m’s looks and even don’t like the wheels on it, would probably go for the 512TR which just looks so much better. But as I’m dreaming would just jump straight into the F50 for those special days when you can take the roof off and listen, love the Enzo but just think the gearbox would drive me crazy long term

  • @roostfezza7563
    @roostfezza7563 Před 4 lety +1

    Such an exciting day! Great you let us come along. My personal preference is the classic ferraris, some were in the background as you showed the Miura. Speaking of which, i do prefer the eyebrow cars, and the colour of the example you show doesn't appeal as much as the yellows and oranges popular at the time. I think the testarossas are too 80s to like now, the F50 too 90s and must be astonomical to maintain. If you must supercar, the Enzo is pretty wild in any language. But the classic 60s Californias are just too beautiful.

  • @stanlee3619
    @stanlee3619 Před 4 lety +4

  • @puggzymalone5824
    @puggzymalone5824 Před 4 lety +2

    I'm in total agreement I much prefer the classic Ferrari's maybe its an age thing (I'm 40) but for me when they stopped offering manual gearboxes they all just became a bit samey and in my opinion the last good looking Ferrari's were the 355, 456 and 550. I'll make an exception for the Enzo purely for the styling alone. I adore the Muira but I think its more of a car to look at than to enjoy driving. Testarossa wise - has to be an earlier example but with 2 normal wing mirrors please. To replace the F40 I think it has to be the F50 I think you will get more from the driving experience and I for one would love to hear about the ownership experience of one. P.S. Didn't your mother ever teach you that it's rude to point Damian! Lol both of you cram a lot of hardcore pointing action into your videos. If anyone were ever to play the shot game every time either of you points they would be dead from alcohol poisoning in 5 minutes! Ha ha just joshing! Love the content!

Terrible headlight treatment and ad on tail lights, and those wheels!!! Ugh! I do love that Miura though! Wow! Thats my vote! I do have a Countach, but it is a prova replica that I built. Real Countach's have always seemed to elude me, being just out of reach for me financially. Came close 8-10 years ago for a project at $90K USD, but now quite unattainable for me ever :( I should have snagged it then! Looking forward to your acquisition in whatever form it will be! You've worked hard, you've made your money, I'm certainly not jealous, I have great respect for people that graft and play hard. I enjoy watching your videos. Now the facts, in my opinion, you should never have sold the F40. I think deep down you know that, but, this episode should not be about the F40 replacement as you keep saying. That vehicle is irreplaceable! You have plenty of other beautiful cars to drive and enjoy. My personal view is that you should look at buying 'a car' to keep, one for an investment, one that people in years to come are going to be searching very hard for. I bet people back in the 60's never dreamed their cars would be so valuable in the future. I would never get bored of watching your updates on whatever car you decided on, knowing that you have made that decision to keep it forever. 👍

    I was taken by a friend to visit Joe Macari's wonderful showroom (and had a most memorable, interesting time meeting with him).
    That Miura SV is in 'better than new' condition and the F50 is stunning, but I prefer the Enzo as an appropriate replacement for the F40.
    Please try and get a tour of the workshop just across the road.

    F50 or 288 GTO would be a perfect addition to the collection. I dream of a 288 GTO. Shooting up in value too. Perfection! 👌

    I’m in love with the Miura so.......but how about either a 365 or 512BB. Why do they seem to get ignored with values static for years around £0.3m (even for one I saw that had Rod Stewart as the first owner)? That Miura SV has been at Joe’s for over 2 years and I’m pretty sure has gone up ~£600k just sitting there (although if it’s not sold, what’s it actually worth).

    I was watching your guys’ Porsche Boxster review, loved that video by the way, and after I finished it I saw that Porsche is gonna put the 4.0 from the GT4 in the new GTS 😂

    You should absolutely get the F50. I think it's just that little bit more special with the gated manual

    That Mura...you GOTTA HAVE IT! 🤤🤤🤤
    Forget F50. Not as good as you think...you drive it, you will see.

    I completely agree with you about the Miura SV. And that example is so a different spec but so stylish and classy. It still looks so special and has aged tremendously well - compared to the Enzo which already looks a bit dated and “boxy”. Tough call though - not to have another Ferrari halo car in the collection 🤔

    The Rubino 599 would look lovely if the carbon tat and matt black roof wrap were removed.
    The 250 Lusso really grabs my attention - not in red though.
    I also particularly like the 330 GT 2+2 Series 2 after they got rid of the twin headlamps. Also being a 2+2 it's not daft money like the coupes. JM often has one or two of these in stock.
    The Miura is aching beautiful but it would simply be terrifying driving a £2.6m car around and where would you park it? You could never drive from A to B in it, it would only be good from A and then back to A again so you can relax!
    So my vote for an F40 replacement - if you want to scratch the classic lambo itch is the Islero S. What a pretty car that is and you won't have cold sweats driving it around.

    Yes yes yes....I always thought the F50 should replace your F40. In my opinion- the only candidate. Always in the shadow of the F40 but retrospectively what an awesome modern classic. Carbon fibre weave, F1 inspired screaming V12, rear suspension mounted to the gearbox & digital dash. No paddle shift & no driver aids. A bonkers mid nineties throw of the dice which I would much much rather have now than when it came out...can you feel it..? 🤩

    Totally agreed with Damien regarding the Enzo that is not for him. My belief is a true classic should have less electronics nanny gizmos. It will be a good step up to F50 from F40. For me I stick with Porsche Carrera GT if in future I can afford one.
