I had a 79 back in about 1987. It was my daily driver through rain, sun, cold and even snow! I had snow tires and a five gallon bucket of sand in the frunk for weight and that car was great! Only thing ever went wrong was the alternator and gas tank developed a leak. Both fixed very cheap. Couple items from your video: - the odd toggle switch is for those after market fog lights. -The crash rating of that car for cars of its time was actually very good. New standards had been envisioned and it was designed for that. I can attest to it withstanding a 35mph rear ending while I was stationary by a very large Oldsmobile. I was able to drive away from the accident but eventually my insurance totaled the car. - The aerial and spoiler. The aerial is normally mounted on the other side of the car. For some reason this one is on the wrong side hence the spoiler being backwards.

It has a power sunroof though. I know early ones had an optional manual sunroof but I saw the button lol

However, they wanted to to have either a Targa or or glass roof for aerial shots. Porsche refused the co-operation. Probably not the best decision from Stuttgart. But those days Porsche was already quite tight on money - till Wiedeking came to rescue it in mid 90s. Thru the lense it looks that the proportions are not exactly right with long overhangs and not the most sexy stance but they look great in real life. Very small and cute. Still built in the old way on top of a rather delicate steel frame. I think it was the 360 when they went for pressed steel bodies and quality improved a lot. The most passionate 308-fans would always prefer the Vetroresinas but even they were not that fast and they too are prone to the steel frame rusting. Still, a wet dream but probably best as a dream.

I had a 1995 na300ZX (U.S.) until 2021. It was a dependable daily driver and practical too thanks to the hatchback and a joy to drive on back roads. When it became unfixable I found a 350Z which is a bit faster but has few other advantages for my purposes. I hope to find another ZX soon, probably another na manual. When I do there will be a 350Z on the US market.

Never mind the clean energy crap I read an article by a man with an electric car and he was shocked having to replace his rear tyres after a short time and the cost of new tyres, it appears the cars are so heavy the tyres wear out much more quickly and apart from the cost of new batteries and electric cars catching fire and insurance companies high cost for them the Russians found oil deposits 10 times the size of the North Sea deposits in Antarctica ,now whisper to me do you think the oil there will be left alone??

Porsche production numbers for 991.2 vs 992 tourings are supposedly similar... 600+ for the .2 and 650 confirmed for the 992. It is strange that most tourings for sale on market tend to be 992 models though....

I do believe that they are generally better for the environment than petrol cars, however the margin they are better by is not big enough to require a mass adoption of them.

Last of the v8 Ferraris. I had a red italia for a year then SOR’d it. It was utterly spectacular. I was gonna buy the spyder but hung around for the 488 instead, which is even better.

I bought a late model 944 turbo in black with cream leather for myself as a 25th birthday day present. Saved up hard and bought with cash and I loved that car. Far more practical than a 911 and many other sports cars. On a trip to Scotland for a friends wedding it carried 2 mountain bikes, clothes for a week including wedding outfits, all inside the car :-). It felt fast back then!!

I don't understand why FERRARI's are so high first of all I think most of them are ugly except for a few models. I have a 2007 one of these in the rare st james red. I believe the 0 to 60 is 4.3 seconds. Recently had two turbo sensors fitted, they cost around £60 each. With the engine out and the replacement of all the corroded auxiliaries I was handed a bill just short of 11k.
