Thorough explanation always💡.This is exactly what I’ve been trying to explain to my brother.It’s better to start with Easy Equities because the “activity” sort of motivates you ,unlike Easy Properties (long term ) , once you’ve had some experience and understanding ,then I think you can stomach the “no activity” from Easy Properties .I shall share the video with him🙂.

A bit late to this, but nice points you raised, but I personally would do the exact opposite.
As a beginner, "activity" is exactly what you want to avoid, investing as an expert already takes a toll on your psychology, now imagine a beginner who knows little about investing..I personally would advise a beginner to put all their capital their willing to lose into EasyProperties, then while their money is locked in their, they learn about investing and educate themselves. If they jump straight into EasyEquities as a beginner, they will be stressed out and constantly closing their positions in losses and buying into FOMO/Hype stocks, whereas if their money is tied up in EasyProperties, they can't take it out, and at the same time they earn dividends and capital gains.
Just my opinion and advice I'd give to your brother.

Tisa how does the communication about dividends on easy equities happens or perhaps where one can check when the certain companies that they wanna buy shares from will pay its dividends?
Hi Thabitha 😇 great question. EasyEquities does not announce dividend information about each company, you would have to search for that information on the company’s website. EasyEquities will only notify you when a dividend has been paid into your account and they also have started releasing articles on companies that have paid out a dividend. Always search online to see when the companies you’ve invested in or companies you’d like to invest in will pay out dividends.

@@chatwithtisa Thanx for your response, my my bad I was under the impression that easy equities as a whole is tax free with a maximum cap of 36k per annum so my initial question was to understand if that also applied to easy properties which now I get is not the case, it only applies to the TFSA account not the zar or USD account or properties, again thank you for your valuable insights and looking forward to next one

Hi Agnes, you can’t necessarily invest every month on EasyProperties. You can only invest when there is an IPO or Auction.

Hey tisa my question is if u invest in easyequities for 25 shares on a company that pay dividends for eg 4 in dividends is the dividend paid for each share of all in total.
Usually dividends are paid out based on how many shares you hold, so a company might declare a 4 cents dividend per share, but before the money is paid out to you dividend withholding tax is already deducted. It’s good to hold a good number of shares in those companies that pay out a high dividend.

I can’t really say, there are a few things to factor in, I think we should have a discussion about this on another video ☀️
Hi if the dividend is 100c per share and you have 151 shares how much will you get back eventually?
100 cents x 151 shares = 15 100 cents.
15 100 cents divided by 100= R151
Then there’s dividend withholding tax that’s deducted before you get the amount paid to your account.

Yes it is, did you see the screenshot on the video? You just need to click on the wallet at the top and do an inter account transfer 😊✨
When you transfer you need to have the money in your balance not money that’s invested.
