Wow I'm curious if Russell wrote this. First listen and I'm in love with it.

No, it's an Irish song written by Pete St. John in 1979 and covered by many artists.

@@BetweenTheRock Thanks. I hadn't heard it before and I know Russell writes some good stuff.

@@TristanandIsolt For some reason I don't really understand, this song has become a hugely popular sports anthem for teams in both Ireland and Scotland, probably the place many wind up hearing it first. I've heard versions by The Dropkick Murphys and The Dubliners, and seen done live as an all-hands singalong at festivals in the UK and Denmark. And apparently it was the last song Michael Jackson recorded, backed by an Irish Choir!

@@BetweenTheRock I missed it. It's very good. I was in England last April and want to visit Ireland and Scotland soon.

Do you have the song from the Dublin show too by any chance? And thanks for uploading these!! Been still smiling all day today at work.

Yes, I'm planning on putting all the Dublin videos together into one long video, but it's a time-consuming process that requires a good internet connection for upload, so it will have to wait till I get back home in a few days. Very glad to hear you've been enjoying the vids,...the shows were truly awesome. :)

BetweenTheRock oh cool! I am looking forward to that! My friend and I only had a few days vacation. We're from different countries and only meet once a year or so. But we will definitely go back to Ireland. What a beautiful country with fun and friendly people!
