I was 7 and a house next to me was raided (toms river New Jersey), there was a murder, drug dealer, and illegal weed grower in there. My mom pretended to be friends with them but was secretly getting their names, addresses, license plate numbers, and car and facial details. My parents told me that they were just setting of fireworks when the house was being raided and I thank them for not telling me someone was shooting a gun. My mom ended up getting nothing in reward.
They should at least give your mum $500 like damn
