Finally! A video on my dog's breed. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Our pleasure!
Bijou is a beautiful boy and with your attention to breed standard details, he is ready for the dog show! Thank you so much for including instructions for show bows!

You are so welcome. And thank YOU for always being so kind to me 🌞
What an interesting video, Suzanne! And what a well-behaved little man! I had never heard of this breed. I can’t imagine him NOT winning! I would love to see more show grooms, especially grooms for more exotic breeds! You make it look so easy!!
Awesome to see one of these groomed! Very unique breed. Thanks so much for sharing!
He is doing so well for a puppy
What a beautiful, unique breed. I really enjoyed watching show groom technique on a rustic coat. I always learn something new watching you Suzanne, you’re such a talented teacher ❤. When I started watching you, one of the first videos was one that you mentioned not plucking ear hair, so I began to do some reading up on that. I had always plucked because that’s how I was taught, however I never used hemostats as I considered that method to be more painful than necessary. But after looking further into the subject I decided to experiment with some of my clients who have chronic ear infections and I have to say, since I stopped plucking I have seen a noticeable difference. I have transitioned most of my dogs to minimal plucking or none at all and just thoroughly cleaning. I’ve also started trying some of the igroom products and I believe I’m a convert 😊. I’ve started conditioning the dogs coats, which I also never did because I was taught not to for various reasons. I’ve been in the industry for 24 years, apprenticed under a NCMG, never pursued certification myself but I always pursue knowledge and am always striving to do better. Your videos are a great learning tool for beginners as well as seasoned groomers like myself. Thank you Suzanne, for sharing your knowledge with us, you truly are a blessing to this industry and community. Love from Alabama ❤
Thank you so much Carissa. I really appreciate this. I think sharing things, even if they are out of the main stream , is really important. There are always new views and techniques coming to light. So those of us who are diligent will keep up with new schools of thought. Things that used to sound ridiculous to me, like not plucking ears, are now so easy to understand.
What a cutie and sweetie pie! Thanks for showing us this unquie breed and grooming standard. Explaining how to dry a dog properly to retain rustric curl is a real gem. Thank you.
What a beautiful boy and a beautiful brown color. He looks like chocolate. I love his rustic look and with your expert grooming to standard he will surely win. Thanks again Suzanne
You are so kind
Gorgeous, well behaved little guy. Checked out their history, size, characteristics, etc. excellent little dogs. Wish they were better known, a local breeder has 2 available pups, 😕, but I can't take on anymore dogs.
I do not mention my clients at all. Unfortunately I have enemies who contact my clients. This is the reason why I left Facebook. To keep my clients away from the CZcams community haters 😕
My word, that's absolutely horrible, so sorry this is happening to you and your clients, I didn't know since I'm not on Facebook. I'm speechless.
Please do continue your amazing grooms, I truly treasure your wealth of information.
Yesterday I got a voicemail about my content that literally called me a sick hateful desperate B _ _ _ _! About the Tub Harness video & blog .😬 That is so unnerving.
Have you groomed this reed before? So cool & you are so talented😊
I would love to have a Bolonka they are the cutest little dogs and remind me so much of my beloved childhood dog. They must be extremely rare in the US .
They are, but will gain popularity now that they are recognized by the AKC.
Could you do a Bolognese-very similar, just wavy/curly hair with no topknot. Also, how do you prevent/treat red tear stains?
If I have a Bolognese come in, I would be happy to. Here are some tear stain tips. www.akc.org/expert-advice/health/tear-stains-prevent-and-clean/
Sorry so many questions- day we he have his dog coat or still a puppy coat? Is there an age when puppies get their dog coats?
He is 5 months old. He will go through a coat change at 10-12 months old.
Hello hello 💜💜 hope you and your family are safe….
Yes we are, thank you.
Yes a rubber band please 😊
What is the paste that you used to keep his hair in place?
Chris Christensen Thick n Thicker Volumizing gel
Exotic breed I've never heard of. So many are choosing to become doodlers in my area. Nice work per usual Suzanne. Still waiting for the longish coat Yorkie video 😂 you said you had ready😍😘
It was recorded, not ready. It will be released tomorrow.
I would imagine sassy doe that Suzanne has not had a lot of extra time for editing this week as she was preparing for the Hurricane that hit Florida this week in case it hit hard in the Tampa area
@@organicgal7751 I'm not sure why you're reading something negative into my comment or think I need an explanation from you! I'm well aware of the hurricane and left comments right along side you on her channel 🤣 I wasn't accusing Suzanne of anything for heavens sake! I was making conversation and nothing more than I was looking forward to the video. I don't have anxiety about her timetable on releasing it.
what shampoo do you use?

Are you going to be his show groomer as well?
I groomed him here for his first show.
Why do you make the top knot super tight like that? Would look better if you made it more loose and rounded like on a maltese, their shape is supposed to look round and compact.
It’s a maintenance topknot. The show bubble does not hold up. If I am preparing a dog for the show ring, I do it a bit more fancy. My poodles are Grand Champions. I only do a show topknot bubble on them the morning of a show, the rest of the time they have a maintenance topknot.
It was also a 5 month old puppy. Not much top knot there.
