Greetings from Finland! Started playing Jack-7 about half a year ago and the new moves to his arsenal are really good. Found myself getting a bit overwhelmed about using what/where so thank you very much for the tutorial.

I think if you did a super beginner guide for brand new tekken players that NEVER played tekken my get a lot of views. So many technical terms that you mention that only apply to tekken.

Very good guide buddy, although I can't agree with b44 being a decent poke/string - first one's -13 oB and there's a 10-frame gap in between, so any knowledgable person will always do i10 to either punish or interrupt. Ofc, this is a knowledge check but the animation is so distinct it won't be hard for most people. Also, worth noting is that for any move transitioning to GH on block you can do dickjab to interrupt all GH moves apart from GH 3+4 (-13 oB?) or GH uf_ub, but this doesn't lead to anything guaranteed. You can always not transition to GH oB and bait dickjab to punish it with df2 let's say, but this is a two-way guessing game and after a while people will start seeing whether you chose to go to GH or not and adjust. :) Nevertheless, good stuff!

I know this isn’t a basic tip but if you use Gamma Howl to armor through an attack for a brief second your GH1 and GH2 will have their heat properties

I didn't understand the non-fallible hit-confirmation of WS+2, 4. Is there a specific moment to push the 4 that makes Jack only kick in case of confirmed hit?

Tekken 8 is my first tekken game and when I was looking at the roster 3 characters stood out Kuma and Jack this is the first Jack guide I’ve come across I have yet to see a kuma guide and yet to find a long in depth kuma guide. I ended up playing a lot of kuma but I wanna learn them both

Hey great guide thanks a lot, a lot to learn from it. Was wondering does he have CH set up against jabs off his +3 from WR+1+2 / GH+4 or the +4 from f,f+3 ? seems like his best button for this is d/f+4 but thats too slow at i15. Am I overlooking something or is f+2 Jack's tool for this?
You can try F2 to counterhit from +3, but what also is a great option is his volcano buster throw (df,df2+4) and tombstone throw (db,f1+2), a lot of his grabs are 11 frames so you can frametrap and ch them with that.

How do you get the Wind-up uppercut to come out so easily at 3:05? I feel like there's something I don't understand about how to input it. Do you not need the DF input after HCF?

I don't understand, in the movelist it says uf1+2,d,df+2 is an unbreakable throw, but when I set the CPU to break throws, it DOES break it...
the second part of the throw is unbreakable but the first part isnt. Its almost like a mini chain throw . If they dont tech the first part then the second is guaranteed
What are his best panic moves when you are getting rushed down? f2 comes to mind, but it is a high. The 13f shoulder is super unsafe. Powercrush is safe, but slow.
Use 3+4 as a parry and armor and attack after with GH stance options
GH armor into GH 3+4 is a power crush that activates Heat. Its my go to

I could’ve mentioned it but F2 is not necessarily a poke, because it’s -13F. It’s more of a punish/counter hit button, just my opinion.

How do you get blue upper more consistently?
You can buffer (doing during the recovery of other things) the HCF part.
1+4 will do it every time if you cant to the HCF part
Just train. I didn’t played T7 and I was spamming this move whole day now I get this everytimes. HCF can be slow but it is better to learn it fast. HCF part must be precise and last part super quick.

How does counter hit work?
You need to interrupt a move with your move.

@@badmana5768well it just needs to hit while someone is in the animation of a move. If a move is already about to hit u and u press an attack button as your getting hit thats still a counter-hit

what does pressing all four of the buttons do? i am labbing an seeing him do shit, and seeing this creator use it after every stage reset in the lab but not sure what it does 🤥
It's called Ki-Charging and it's used to manually give your attacks counter hit properties.
Fine start, but please in future guides don't just "I can do this/that, or follow up yadda yadda", actually say what you're doing with proper move names/inputs to make it easier to follow along.

what do you think about 1,1d? to me it seems kind of absurd that you can go into GH off of the 12f jab -> jackhammer string lol, and im pretty sure the string is a natural leaving you +8 once youre in stance, ive just been pressing it whenever i know im plus but im not sure how plus
