Seeing them playing the characters that they sing as is a real blast. That scene of the angel and Daniel plays out almost exactly like I had envisioned it upon my first few times listening to it. Fantastic video, Arjen!

If you look at her throughout her career, you can see that she gets MORE beautiful as she ages. At 18 she was a pretty girl, at 28 a beautiful woman, and at 38 a stunning angel.

Shout out for MARCELA BOVIO and CAROLINE WESTENDORP as the wraiths! Their backing vocals really stood up on this album! The best parts!

That's the point of the album alot of people seem to miss.
@@benambrose8895 True, it is deliberately burlesque / campy. My pet theory as to how it fits in the Ayreon universe, is that it's one of the messages sent back in time, but ended up in the brain of a Victorian writer of gothic horror (as played by Tom Baker), who interpreted the story in this way instead of the way Ayreon (the minstrel) did. Hence '1884' instead of '2084'. A fire instead of a nuclear war, etc.

At this point, tied with HVMAN :||: NATVRE (Nightwish) as my favorite album of the year. Everything surrounding Transitus has just added to an already great album and even after multiple listens still never gets old. Great work on another masterpiece of theatrical metal.

THEORY TIME!
What if "Into the Electric Castle" takes place in Transitus? Not physically, but what if the Forever are somehow abusing the system and threw the eight humans into this place between life and death? I know Transitus seems to be a place for the dead, but it's not quite afterlife either. And I doupt the Angel and the Furies are dead either, so I'd suggest it's a in-between, like the name suggests. So, the Forever would've 'captured' the souls of the characters from ITEC, and sent them to the remnants of planet Alpa this way? The ones that die during the journey really die, and continue to afterlife, and the surviving ones go back to live on Earth? But it goes on! What if all these characters are the reincarnation of the same soul? We know from "The Universalt Migrator" that Futureman shares the soul with Ayreon, and they are also one of the Time Telepathy scientists. It's also suggested that Mr. L is part of this shared soul thanks to his visions. And with this, I think the Prodigy from "Theory of Everything" is also in this group (even though the album isn't offically connected to the main Ayreon lore, much like Transitus - this is just my theory) - his visions would be resulted by some after effect of Time Telepthy, or Waking Dreams from the Forever - or maybe those are the same technology in the end? Maybe the Dream Sequencer is also the same, and humans learn it thanks to the notes left by the Prodigy - people might not understand the theory of everything, but they could figure out parts of it. Daniel is also in this mix, just another version of the same soul. And, of course 'Me' from "The Human Equation" would be a part of this... And we know a Forever has lived his experiences using the Dream Sequencer, which means their souls are connected! That way, we can link all these characters and their souls to the Forever/Alphans - maybe Forever of the Stars also shares a soul with this group? However, the Forever are not dead - so maybe the souls can multiply, or the Forever really have no souls, as a long time after effect of liquid eternity? And maybe the Prophet from "The Source" is/shared the soul with Forever of the Stars, explaining his prophetic abilities? They'd be waking dreams from the future! And because all souls originated from the Universal Migrator, and Futureman becomes the New Migrator... The circle is completed! They're all the same soul, in different times, different places... When Futureman dies, the last human soul is freed, and as the New Migrator he is able to return them to the Forever, allowing them to feel emotions again.
What do you think? Did I solve the Human Equation? ;-) There are some holes/unclear parts, and lots of it is just hyphothesis. And I'm not saying this is official or something Arjen intended, again, it's just my theory I came up with because I'm way too obsessed with Ayreon. (I promised to Arjen I'd explain my theory, hope he sees it here.) Thanks for reading, and please add your thoughts! (Even if you think this is stupid!) Cheers, my fellow Ayreonauts, and many hugs!
