Yeah, he was. I guess you don't always have to have seven heads to be scary. Or at least more than one head. Having the mouse king with a crooked tail is something new.
This was a good movie, it may not have been good as the other nutcracker movies, but at least this one had all the characters talk and not always have the movie be silence and always on the music. I use to watch this a lot as a kid and liked the story of how the nutcracker came to be and the history of the mouse king and his mother the mouse queen. This movie should've gotten a lot more good write ups.
Makes me long for the Days of old, when cartoons and Movies held such a high standard in story telling and downright cosy-ness. Back when shows had morals and great messages to give that was easy and clever enough for Children and adults alike to understand. A Movie like this is best enjoyed on christmas, in the dark of the night with the crackling of a fire to illuminate the room.
I know what you mean. Back then movies and cartoons were all hand drawn and they would always be in the movie theaters to watch. Like all the Don Bluth and cartoon Disney movies. But now you get mostly computer animation and the shows have become more darker, or less funny. They even turned cartoon movies like Beauty and the Beast into adult movies and made it a little darker. Now their going to do it to the Lion King, and Dumbo. What is this world coming to? Why can't we have hand drawn cartoons and movies anymore? Well, there was that cartoon scene from the movie Marry Poppins Returns, but I doubt it was enough to convince everyone that we should still use hand drawn art. But hopefully someday, it will come back.
Is it just me, or was Drosselmeir in this version of the Nutcracker aware that Clara would be the one to break the spell and defeat the Mouse King? Because that would make a lot of sense; he certainly seems to be rooting for Clara and Hans to be together at the end.
Last night in a dream that came to me, I saw a face and knew right then, That you were meant for me. Last night, in a dance from long ago, As the music fades and we walk away, Why did we let it go? Bridge: How do you know that the first time is the right time in your life? Not to let it pass you by. I won't let it pass me by. And if the winds of fate blow our ships off course someday, No matter where we stray, I know you'll find your way. Chorus: I'll always come back to you I'll always come back to you For once in your life, A promise will come true, I'll always come back to you. Last night, in a dream I've had before, I heard your voice calling me, Like from a distant shore. Last night, like a ship lost on the sea A single light is shining there, To light the way for me. Bridge: How do you know that the first time is the right time in your life? Not to let it pass you by. I won't let it pass me by. And if the winds of fate blow our ships off course someday, No matter where we stray, I know you'll find your way. I'll always come back to you. I'll always come back to you. This song brings out a feeling of nostalgia for me that is unparalleled. Also the fact that they took the melody from Tchaikovsky's Waltz of the flowers and used it in a 90's end- credit ballad is so genius.

Magic, excitement, enchantments, wonders, imagination, romance, music, action, fantasy, thrills, and adventures. What a beautiful, romantic, magical song in the ending credit of The Nutcracker Prince (1990). It was released 34 years ago. I was born that year. Always Come Back to You is wonderful. I never give up believing in fairies and magic with all my heart because I still refuse to grow up, and forget about the precious things I knew, especially those from my childhood. I am like Peter Pan and have his youthful spirit. Yes, no growing up, yuck! Forever young. My one and only wish is to keep the magic alive for all time. And I also wish to be a fairy to stay strong, childlike, young, and beautiful forever and ever like Tinker Bell, and the other fair folks. Think happy thoughts to make you fly. All it takes is faith, trust and pixie dust ⭐🌟🌠✴☪🪄🧙🧙♂🧙♀🧚🧚♂🧚♀🎼🎵🎶
