- A sculptor by trade, Frogman Tim Cotterill brought his trike design to Blastolene, the same folks who built Jay's Tank Car. Now the powerful and eccentric Rocket II Trike is on the road, powered by a blown Hemi V8, which generates over 1000 hp.

What an incredible bike and an incredible person! I actually really "laughed out loud" when he first pulled out and put the coals to it. He's a freakin mad man! Both him and the bike should be in the next Mad Max!

I don't get it. Every single engine on the show, Jay always revs it to 5,000 rpms the second it fires up, no warm up at all. I always cringe haha.

Jose Joao Garcia It was made by Randy Grub of Blastolene fame in Oregon. Has a similar theme to the other Blastolene vehicles. Cotterill says he sketched the design.

And I love with this bike - It's one thing to take a monster engine and put it into something ugly. But this is the coolest thing in creation :)

Blastolenes are epic. It is sad that either the level of craftsmanship on this look inferior to the other Blastolene products or Tim is not maintaining it properly. Cool trike but needs TLC (Original comment below.)

5:57 also shows uneven bracket cuts, Sharpie markings. uneven welds and exposed wiring.
Why not make a plate to cover that mess? The trike looks neat but that is a lot of money spent. Too much to live with problems like that.
jezuzfreek777 The sharpie marking is from the owner , atleast that is what it sounded like he said; it was to remind him of the gear selector position.
As for the stuff: there's teething problems with all 1 off projects , the stuff gets sorted in the end.

***** So with you on this. When I seen NELSON Racing stuff a LS engine in a real 3rd Gen PMD T/A I about came unglued. It was on a Power Tour.
I wrote to Nelson Racing and asked if hi might do a MR1 or MR1A, IA PMD block rather then ruining the Pontiac with a Chevy engine.
I should have left out the ruin part, but this guy makes mad money, I think he could handle spending that extra few hundred on a PMD designed engine to showcase his mirror turbos..
Its a great engine, but we were all sick of the last SBC showing up in everything.
