I loved watching him play for Michigan every Saturday. You couldn't even go to the bathroom when Michigan had the ball because he was able to take it to the house at any moment.
The best memory of Denard Robinson was the 1st night game ever at the Big House. I was at that game against Notre Dame. And with 30 seconds to go in the game he led Michigan down the field and hit Roundtree in the end zone. The crowd went absolutely wild. I was sitting next to an 80 year old man who had season tickets for 50 years. He said after that game "that was the best thing my eyes have ever seen in the last 50 years."

To give you some context about Robinsons' numbers dropping in the 2011 and 2012 seasons, Brady Hoke took over after they fired Rich Rodriguez. They switched from a run-first spread offense to a pro-style/multiple offense. That's one guy that could have used to the transfer portal if it existed back then.
Two videos I would recommend doing are two-star college wide receivers from back in the day. Peter Warrick or Charles Rodgers

On the QB rushing yards point: yes, Denard's one of only 4 QBs to reach that marker and was the first QB to ever hit 1700 rushing yards in a season. After him, Jordan Lynch had 1800 in 2012 and 1900 in 2013, and Malcolm Perry from Navy (which you can decide if this counts or not considering their offensive scheme) is the only QB to ever rush for 2000 yards in a season (in the 2019 season)

You should do a story about Heisman winning quarterback Jason White. He won the Heisman trophy in 2003 after tearing his ACL in 2001 against Nebraska... He came back in 2002 and tore his ACL against Alabama. He had an injury on his left knee and his right knee. I honestly thought he was going to just retire from football and I don't think anybody would have blamed him. But he came back in 2003 and won the Heisman trophy. Great story, and great job with it. I got a fun nominee - remember Anthony Morelli? Because we were supposed to. '95 NFL Punt, Pass, and Kick champion, 2003 Mr. Pennsylvania Football, and number two overall pro-style quarterback prospect in the country behind Rhet Bomar. Look at that objectively - Pennsylvania considered him a better talent than Revis Island himself, and even though 2003 was a rough class for quarterbacks, that class still included USC's John David Booty and Joe Flacco. Instead, the man never played a down in the NFL - and not from a lack of trying.

Not saying he had off the field issues, as far as the wreck, I myself have almost fallen asleep driving even with another person in the truck! Driving home from working hours from home and the other person sleeping in the passenger side because we're both tired and got a long drive ahead of us.. The fact i was tired, it being late, and having another person asleep in the truck just made it almost easier for me to get even More tired and literally fall asleep driving but the emergency lane of the interstate hitting my tires making that crazy loud noise woke me up B4 something bad happened.. thankfully that's all that happened! But this isn't a FALL FROM GRACE story for this man! This is a TAKING WHAT YOU HAVE IN FRONT OF YOU AND MAKING IT WORK FOR YOU THE ABSOLUTE BEST YOU CAN STORY!!!! And I love to hear it!!! Denard had a great personality and smile. He absolutely destroyed ND and he beat Ohio State and that is not easy to do.

Do a video on Maurice Clarett former Ohio State rb responsible for the Buckeyes 2002 championship before he went off the rails, trying to enter NFL draft after one college season. Then he really went off the rails. Look into him, I think he would make a great video.

The thing about denial Robinson is he he would’ve never been a quarterback. He just didn’t have the strength to. He had the strength, but he didn’t have the accuracy. I mean some of those deep passes at Michigan wobbly receiver. Had to adjust it short. deep that’s why it was a halfback and wide receiver in the NFL head 43 speed two will help

Hey Matt I always enjoy listening to you telling the story's about College players. I was wondering if you could or would to tell the about C.U. Q.B. Named Sal Ansie I am sure I spelled his last name wrong. He player in the the late 80s or early 90s. He player under coach Mccartney. And if my memory serves me correctly, he dies of stomach cancer before or during the team's run to a national championship. Hopefully this is a story that peaks your interest. I appreciate what you do. Thank you.

Not sure how good of a story it is but really interested to see the full story on Toby Gerhart. Just remember him being a stud in college for Stanford. Landed on a couple NFL teams ultimately but never really made a splash in the nfl. Curious what he's up to now.
