I loved watching him play for Michigan every Saturday. You couldn't even go to the bathroom when Michigan had the ball because he was able to take it to the house at any moment. The best memory of Denard Robinson was the 1st night game ever at the Big House. I was at that game against Notre Dame. And with 30 seconds to go in the game he led Michigan down the field and hit Roundtree in the end zone. The crowd went absolutely wild. I was sitting next to an 80 year old man who had season tickets for 50 years. He said after that game "that was the best thing my eyes have ever seen in the last 50 years."
As a lifelong Irish fan I hated him after that game lol. That game was one of the best I've seen in a long time. That kid was special at Michigan! I'm glad he's back home and doing well. Even though he did that to my boys lol
I remember watching him play for Michigan back in the day...electric! So happy to see and hear this latest report of Denard Robinson. To Mr. Robinson I say excellence comes in many forms. You are living proof of that!
As a Michigan alumni, I enjoyed him playing at Michigan. I am happy for him to come full circle and at least be a part of a National Championship. Wishing him well.
I'm glad this one had a happy ending. I was afraid you were going to say he got into drugs and blah blah blah screwed his life up. But no he didn't! He is coaching now, still very involved with the sport he loves and helping younger guys develop in to better players. You just can't help but love this outcome!! Much respect to him and hope he continues on with a happy life!
Well that was quick! I appreciate whoever mentioned Denard Robinson first, and then I appreciate Matt seeing the thread and making it happen. Bravo sir, bravo 👏
I totally forgot about this dude. I remember watching him at Michigan. He was fun to watch. Glad he is part of the Michigan staff and is getting a big fat ring!!
I’m an Oregon guy never cared much for Michigan but I loved this dude. He seemed like ultimate teammate and the raw talent was so scary. He’s one I was really pulling for. I’m so glad he’s happy and that he’s every bit the good guy I truly wanted him to be.
Hey man! I was wonder if you can do a video about a former Nebraska QB who finished his college career with a 33-3 record, won two-National Championships, and his 75-yard touchdown run against Florida in his final game is considered one of the greatest college football plays of all time, Tommie Frazier. Love your videos and keep it up man!
How about Eric Crouch? White QB at Nebraska, asked to change position in the NFL. It's not something they only do to black QBs. He got picked up late by the Rams as a DB but I don't think he ever appeared in a game. He retired rather abruptly if I remember correctly.
Tommie Frazier was a beast they should think about doing a video about his backup Brooks Beringer who died in a plane crash I believe and the running back was Lawrence Phillips and he could have a whole video about his career
To give you some context about Robinsons' numbers dropping in the 2011 and 2012 seasons, Brady Hoke took over after they fired Rich Rodriguez. They switched from a run-first spread offense to a pro-style/multiple offense. That's one guy that could have used to the transfer portal if it existed back then. Two videos I would recommend doing are two-star college wide receivers from back in the day. Peter Warrick or Charles Rodgers
Awesome vid dood!! Do one on the usc running back that got his on knee blown up by tenn. he’s a local dude from me and his school, real cool guy. Terrible thing that happened to him. I’ve never seen anything like it
He is still beloved by Michigan fans and is back with the program. The NFL didn’t treat him well and made him a running back/return specialist with the Jaguars. The NFL made him switch positions, so he hasn’t been the same.
Do a video on Charles Rogers from Michigan State/Detroit Lions. The guy had all the talent in the world and like that his career was over. He was only a couple years older than me, sad story.
THANK YOU for this uplifting video on D. Robinson. So many life lessons you cited. A must watch for all students pursuing anything and face setbacks. APPLAUSE!
On the QB rushing yards point: yes, Denard's one of only 4 QBs to reach that marker and was the first QB to ever hit 1700 rushing yards in a season. After him, Jordan Lynch had 1800 in 2012 and 1900 in 2013, and Malcolm Perry from Navy (which you can decide if this counts or not considering their offensive scheme) is the only QB to ever rush for 2000 yards in a season (in the 2019 season)
Would like to see a video on Andre ware. He was talked about at the time as possibly being a franchise turn around type QB. Unfortunately it didn’t work out. But he was phenomenal in college.
@MattBeGreat That 2011 season I believe was when Brady Hoke became the Michigan after RichRod(aka DickRod) got fired. Also he going from the RichRod Spread Offense to the Pro Style Offense, which he admitted that the Pro Style was "alright"
I think u should do maurice clarretts interesting and inspiring back story he went from being a former ohio state star player to sending the police on a chase and spent a few years in prison to trying to help at risk kids by mentoring them to do right and stay on the right path...he never got to play in the nfl even tho he was an elite top player who wouldve gotten drafted high because he ended up going to prison for a few years instead.
I remember meeting Denard at Rick's in Ann Arbor after his NFL career when I was in college. Bumped into him getting a drink at the bar (admittedly I was drunk) and talked for 10 minutes. One of the most genuine dudes I ever met, talked numerous things other than football and actually was interested and not just brushing me off. So glad he found his calling in football even though he can't spin it anymore.
They must have been really sleepy being extremely tired can cause things like this i have been tired like that before staying up all night coordination is completely off
Ayyyy thanks for doing my idea, much appreciated. I didn't know the majority of this stuff. Just thought he was fun to watch back in the day. Edit: The "O" in my name is long like in "Pope". But most people say it like you did which is why I use the "Posh Spice" name lol. Won't hold it against ya
I was a freshmen at Deerfield Beach when Denard was a senior. He was such an electric and humble guy. He had a funny nickname, “Snakey”. Guy had an absolute piece on him. Literally like 2 beer cans connected; yes that thick. Our freshman initiation was to get on one knee in the shower and have Denard come by and “Knight” us with his piece. Guy was cool about it though.
As a truck driver and seeing other truck drivers who've fallen asleep, that is a common angle a sleeping driver leaves the road at. Experts will tell you that, too.
You should do a story about Heisman winning quarterback Jason White. He won the Heisman trophy in 2003 after tearing his ACL in 2001 against Nebraska... He came back in 2002 and tore his ACL against Alabama. He had an injury on his left knee and his right knee. I honestly thought he was going to just retire from football and I don't think anybody would have blamed him. But he came back in 2003 and won the Heisman trophy. He was also a finalist for the Heisman trophy in 2004.
Denard when healthy was the most electric player i have seen. the kid would just make the most insane anticipation jukes and take it the house. any play. almost like a devin hester that was a effective qb. go watch the game in OT at night vers Notre Dame. Denard was beyond clutch. i don't think fans really knew how bad he was injured at brasky. he just never was himself again. man the kid will kill you will his smile. bless up Go BLue
Damn I had no idea that he been through this much like damn but hey at least he's on the cover on NCAA Football 14 which I still play to this day and he was a human highlight reel
A video on Andy Katzenmoyer who played for Ohio State or Gabe Rivera who played for the Steelers would be an intersting piece. Always wondered what happened to Katzenmoyer.

He was always nice and friendly and would wave and stuff. One day some people were trying to do a drive by egging on his car and wreaked down the street but that was the only weird thing that happened. I thought he was going to be a good player in the league but he kind of disappeared.

As a diehard Jags fan when they drafted him I was like WTF .... And when asked what position he'd play it seems like they had absolutely no idea what to do with him

Speaking of NCAA football still waiting on that Sam Keller video for ruining NCAA for us but at the same time pretty much being the reason we have NIL today.
Do a video on Maurice Clarett former Ohio State rb responsible for the Buckeyes 2002 championship before he went off the rails, trying to enter NFL draft after one college season. Then he really went off the rails. Look into him, I think he would make a great video.

That last pic with him, Blake Corum and Mike Hart is the bees knees.
100% saved !
He is on Michigan's staff for national championship
Not anymore
He has always given so much to us.
I remember watching him play for Michigan back in the day...electric! So happy to see and hear this latest report of Denard Robinson. To Mr. Robinson I say excellence comes in many forms. You are living proof of that!
Love Denard Robinson so much, reminds me of the good ole days playing ncaa 14
Yup, with all the online glitchers and cheaters...Ed O'Bannon wasn't the only fool that ruined NCAA Football
As a Michigan alumni, I enjoyed him playing at Michigan. I am happy for him to come full circle and at least be a part of a National Championship. Wishing him well.
Even as an Ohio State fan, it was very hard not to like Denard Robinson and the enthusiasm and mind-blowing talent he brought to the game.
Man I grew up in Michigan and was in highschool during his time at Michigan and it was crazy how much love he got from every school
I'm glad this one had a happy ending. I was afraid you were going to say he got into drugs and blah blah blah screwed his life up. But no he didn't! I was hoping he'd mention this in the video. this comment needs to be pinned
Watching that idiot Brady hoke run bootlegs with Denard over and over again for a year and a half made me question my sanity.
As a Michigan fan who played NCAA 14 all the time growing up I’m very thankful that you made this video
Tate Forcier. The qb on the same team. That's a story...
Shoe lace 〽️💪🏾. He's on staff. Looks to be a Michigan lifer.
Michigan for life. 💛💙🏈

He had no n f l level skills do stop if you're good the n f l's gonna take you
He sucked as a QB.
He was never a great passer but his injury made him way less accurate in his last season at michigan. He would have never made it as an NFL QB.
He’s the reason why I’m a Michigan fan
@@BigPapiCaponeMichigan fan but auburn profile pic?

So both aren't NFL material.
Wayyyy better than milroe
